It was very good, but I hope they're not getting away from the show's premise. Not a single civilian to be helped last night, that wasn't the result of Michael.

Not me, that's one of the things which separated Burn Notice from the other spy show/movies.Read an interview w/Matt Nix right before the season started. He said they were 1-2 months in, & hadn't done one of those yet. Good to hear; I was getting kind of sick of them.
By the same token, none of the characters (outside of Jesse) seemed to be in all that much danger this season... That bit with Sam at the end of last week was downright laughable.

Fiona seems in danger at the end of this week's.
No doubt Sam Axe is phenomenal. There are a lot of great things that separate it from others, & most are found in the character that got his own 2-hour story a while back.
Without spoiling, I'm not referring to the blonde haired assailant, but rather the message she had for Fiona.Outside of the fact she can clearly handle herself, & that the assailant is clearly overmatched, not to mention unsure what side she's on (as it relates to Fiona).

The message for Fiona:I only got about half of that... The physical & verbal of that all seemed a bit rushed, not to mention no "scenes from next week" or anything before the next show.
The message for Fiona:
Spoiler Alert below:
The girl said she had found a cell phone under her pillow, and the person on the other end said she had to kill Fiona or her sister would be killed. Basically, the message was that Fiona was a marked woman, and someone is trying to have her killed.
I heard the stuff about the cell phone & killing Fiona, but nothing about a threat or sister.
That's why the blonde girl attacked Fiona, if she didn't kill Fiona, "they" would kill the blonde girl's sister. And since Fiona is in the prison for the most violent offenders, it's not good when someone is trying to have her killed.
So she's in grave danger.
I figured it was some sort of deal/threat, but she is less than a secondary character, IMO (her or the bigger black woman, but no need for both), so I didn't figure it matters/mattered. Also, you bring up Fi being in the joint for the most-violent, but that means they probably believe her to be one too... Not to mention Michael gaining friends every season in the gov't., & Sam's (the ones he used to "inform on" Michael to, says the open), so hardly "grave danger".
None of Fiona's friends can protect her. Fiona is all on her own and she has no one to have her back. The only friend she (thought she had) made tried to kill her. Someone on the outside is trying to have Fiona killed...in a prison where the most violent women are housed.
Fiona is in grave danger.
Stop for now, as you've already contradicted yourself, among other problems. You say her friends can't help her, when we have yet to see them try. Also, that's only (it seems) referring to her friends on the outside, & assuming everyone on the inside hates her, which we have no confirmation of. Another assumption is that the calls/orders are coming from the outside, or that that's where the sister is... Yeah, b/c there's no such thing as corrupt police & other officers, etc.
I know Nicholson says there's no other kind than grave danger, but there must be, b/c Fi's in it.
1] I see no reason I should explain how something was done, especially in a conversation that seems to basically be back-&-forth between the two of us.
2] They couldn't see her, but maybe after tonight they can, since we agree that was a key part of tonight's episode. Regardless, lots of references were made to connections they both had/have, so those are still more ways they can potentially help.
3] I can't show you one person that doesn't hate her any more than you can tell me the name-of or charges-against the third one from the left in the meal-confrontation scene. I watch the show a lot (own most seasons on DVD), which is why I know some situations only look bad b/c they leave out some info for a week or two.
4] "Why would a prison guard want Fiona dead?" Who knows? But it's not like Fiona's proverbial first rodeo; Who knows who or what she's been involved with prior to the show.
As for that last paragraph, considering I'll just skip it, as much of it is assumptions on your part.
I've officially finished the first four seasons of the show. I'm waiting for Netflix to get the fifth, then I might finally be able to catch up and watch on TV.
Rent it...much faster.
I have to admit...when Michael went in and kicked the guy's ass who had threatened his mother, I was fired up. It was awesome.
