Bully Ray to Return With Velvet?

FitFinlay4Life

What's the craic?
Current reports appear to indicate that Bully Ray will not be appearing at the Royal Rumble tonight and there are also reports of him being in talks to return later this year with TNA.

His current gal, Velvet Sky was 'fired' on Friday night's Impact prompting Bully to tweet:

@REALBully5150
I wonder if @DestAmerica realizes how many fans will be PISSED OFF about the @VelVelHoller decision? #BadforBusiness

Now, while this does appear a shoot comment on first appearances, it does have a question mark - why did Bully wait until now to make the comment as it would be safe to assume that both have known the decision for quite some time? Possibly it could be because Velvet is unlikely to get work in the WWe and doesn't want to burn her bridges for a future return.

What do you think? Will Bully and/or return to TNA? Do you want it? If so, how'd you like to see it booked and where would you like to see them fit in the new TNA?

First of all, an honest question (and possibly a naive one from someone who hasn't watched TNA in well over six months). When you refer to Velvet as Bully's "current gal", I assume you are talking about storyline? They aren't an item in real life, are they? If so, he's the luckiest SOB walking the face of the earth. Hard to imagine that old codger having someone like that on his arm (I'm sure the OP, of all people, can relate to what I'm saying, right FF4L).

Back on topic, I would absolutely love to be naive enough to think that both of them are heading to WWE, with Bully appearing tonight in the Royal Rumble match, and with him showing up on RAW tomorrow night with Velvet on his arm. He would definitely be an asset to the program, and I think she could fit in nicely in the Divas division and on a future season of Total Divas. #badforbusiness could be perceived to be similar to the common sentiment expressed on WWE television these days about things being "best for business" or not. Unfortunately, I am pretty certain this won't be happening anytime soon.

Personally I believe that both of them may have made inquiries about any potential interest from WWE, and were likely both informed that they weren't interested. That being said, I fully expect to see the two of them back in TNA later this year. If they are a real life item, they could return together. Either way, they will likely be back on Impact Wrestling, especially if the folks running the show are sensible.

Definitely agree with hatehabsforever, I too had thought of Velvet showing up with Bully/Bubba in the WWE and actually thought the thread was referring to the E. If anything she'd also make a great valet for the Dudleys if they don't fancy going for a Bully/Bubba solo run, and no doubt she'd make good Total Divas fodder though Bella-politics would probably make matters difficult.

Yes, hatehabsforever, Bully and Velet ate a real life couple saying in the real world. I don't want to see these two show up in the WWE as the WWE pushes itself as the best product on earth but it isn't. I'd rather Bully return to TNA and be a monster heel with Velvet on his arm. Have these two be a true power couple which is missing in wrestling nowadays. Have Velvet become Knockout's Champion and let Bully reclaim the title he deserves. I'd how to see these two return as I'm a fan of their work. More so Bully than Velvet tbh.

As for the tweet maybe this is the opportunity for Bully to come back and seek revenge for the wrongful firing of his girl. It'd be nice to see as he was way over and he can continue to be way over.

Yup, Bully and Velvet have been a real item for some time...

Going by my family, Velvet is too old for me anyway (Grandfather was twelve years older than my Grandmother - married over half a century until his death, Father is ten years older than Mother - married forty years and my younger sister is ten years younger than her husband and they're now married about thirteen years) but thanks for the concern Habs :lmao:.

I'd love to see it, personally. I'm not sure the exact angle to how/why they'd return, because I certainly wouldn't want him to come back just to feud down the cards with Robbie E (even though it'd be big for Robbie), but Ray really found his voice with TNA these last few years, and few elicit the response he tends to get from live crowds. I'd love to see him return at some point after the UK tour, maybe just in time for a BFG surprise?

Chances are if Bubba were to return to the E, need probably be under their legends deal, most likely with Devon. In all likelihood WWE wouldn't be interested in Velvet if the Dudley's returned, mainly due to her age (33) and her fan following. This is not to knock WWE, but aside from AJ are any of their "divas" known for anything they did prior to working for them? I ask this because WWE is known these days for trying to establish their own stars. Still, I'd like to see them both back in TNA this year, but I assume that in Velvet's case they're just taking time off. Who knows?

Seems like my UK fans are just as ANGRY as my US fans about @IMPACTWRESTLING's decision to fire me. Let @ChallengeTV know how you feel. RT

Yeah, seems more and more like a work...

So they are cannibals?

Yeah, TNA never acts like its shit doesn't stink.

BTW Bubba showed up in the Royal Rumble.

Bully Ray came in for a past paycheck so did Boogeyman and DDP the ppv sucked major excrement cause no Batista, NO RANDY ORTON NO Y2Jobber who signed a contract for 3 months to be in it lol Bully Ray still with TNA negotiations

i don't think that's why the rumble match stunk...though the ppv wasn't bad due to the triple threat match, but the rumble didnt stink because that, it stunk because of Bryan. he should've either 1) won the match or 2) not been in it at all. that really hurt the rumble itself, if Bryan wasn't going to win it, don't bring him back......i'm GLAD WWE didnt bring back Batista and Y2J wouldn't have a chance, i thought Orton should've came back at either the rumble match or have him cost Rollins the title.

as for Bubba/Bully Ray, if he were smart, he would return to TNA (better chances of being a main event star), but i'm glad he made a rumble appearance, but if he returns to WWE, i think his character will take steps back. as for Velvet, i wouldn't hate her and Bully's off screen relationship being on screen as it would be entertaining, but i do NOT want to see Bully feud with Robbie E. i actually wanted him fired, Robbie E. needs a MAJOR gimmick overhaul. sorry, but Bro-Mans is lousy due to the awful gimmick. Robbie is a very talented wrestler, but his look is just heelish comedy, not good. Spud was the same way as a heel, but as a face, he's an underdog scrapper which could make him great for the X-Division.

I don't want to sound mean but Velvet is too old for wwe. Now, she is not old by any means but look at the 2 main starts from last year - AJ and Paige. And there are a ton of girls in NXT waiting to come up. Why would wwe want Velvet who has already had years of tv exposure and injuries? She is only 5 years older than AJ but that 5 years makes a huge difference especially when you consider she isn't anything special. She wrestles fine, has an okay gimmick but she isn't a Lita or Trish so why would wwe want her? Truth is I see them both coming back to TNA after a while - best place for both of them.
