Bully Ray Teasing a WWE Return?

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
@REALBully5150:
After hearing #ChicagoRaw crowd tonight has helped me make an important career decision @IMPACTWRESTLING. Stay tuned.

I gotta say, if so, and he really thinks he can have another run with the show, then by all means, head North. Ray has pretty much run his course in TNA anyway. He'd be sticking around more out of loyalty than anything if he were to come back, and appropriately enough, the send-off he was given with Anderson (shitty casket aside) was more than enough to write him off television effectively.

He's accomplished a ton, and he deserves credit for it, but if he wants one last send off in the show, by all means. Enjoy it. I won't be watching, but millions of others will.

Thoughts?

In my opinion The Dudley Boyz are the greatest tag team in pro wrestling history.

If Bubba Ray comes back to WWE, it should be to reform The Dudleyz.

Otherwise, I'm not interested.

they were damn good but not the greatest. That IMO goes to the Road Warriors.

Yeah id like to see Bubba/Bully Ray return to the E. Get him out of hell and have him win a few matches, give him a nice sendoff, and induct the Dudlyz into the HOF. Boom. Hes still got it for sure, and when TNA implodes, i see him making a comeback.

A Tag Title run with Devon pays more and means more than a World Title run in TNA.

He would be midcard at best in WWE. Floating around near Sandow and Barrett. But he can be a star of the Tag division.

Personally, I think he's just trolling but he'll probably turn this into something on IMPACT. Should be interesting.......

A Career decision could mean anything in Pro Wrestling

He's a really good heel and if he came back I could see him being involved with Heyman, of course this all depends on if WWE are actually interested in him at this point which I am not convinced they will be.

Not sold. If WWE is in no rush to sign Sting and gives AJ Styles a lowball offer who still has some years ahead of him and is an amazing performer, they're not going to give two drops of piss in a bucket to sign half of the Dudleys.

Im surprised this comment from Bully is getting this much discussion. I mean he plugged Impact which was taped weeks ago. For one he has NOT ran his course in TNA! People probably would have said that years ago and been completely wrong! Hes only a 2 time champ and can easily finish his career as a 5 time. He's actually in his prime and now that the A&8's story is over, he can hit the reset and feud with anyone! If anything the Chicago Raw crowd convinced him to stay in TNA because they showed WWE loves to ignore whats suppose to be their main drive, the fans. As for Team 3D being one of the greatest tag teams, they most definitely are! 22+ title reigns spanning ECW, WWE, TNA, as well as NJPW! Feuds with E&C, Hardy Boyz, AMW, Beer Money, MCMG, British Invasion, Steiner Bros, MEM, TNA, the list goes on!

If Bully Ray wants to come home, where he has belonged all this time, then yes i will welcome it.. Bully Ray,has done it all in TNA,led a terrific faction,TNA world heavyweight champion,TNA tag team champion, been the best heel for a quite awhile now in TNA.

He would fit quite well in WWE IMO. He is a different guy now this time around.. I think a upper mid-card status for Bully Ray,is not out of the question.. He has great Mic Skills and isnt that bad of a mat wrestler..

To me it's the opposite of coming back to the WWE. Hearing the fans crap on some of the material last night probably made him realize he doesn't want to go back.

And considering Sting is reportedly best friends with HHH's best friend, and still hasn't been signed yet... that makes it even more unbelievable. Though, I'm 98% sure Sting is still with TNA. If he were signed with WWE, he'd have appeared by now.

What I got out of that was he realized he wasn't missing anything and doesn't need that last WWE run he's been tossing around.

It sounds like he realizes that nothing over there has changed since the crowd is shitting all over the product

He goes back to WWE, he'll be a Main eventer jobbing to mid carders. He won't be a Bully and he won't be able to have the matches we know he deserves to have as a singles competitor

I don't see it somehow... not that Ray won't be interested but that WWE would be? They have their "unusual size" guy being pushed in Wyatt, they have Ambrose who has a big part of the Bully gimmick and they just don't need him in the main event or upper cards... Sure Christian is on his last hurrah as is Rey, so there "might" be some scope for older names, but with Sting likely to sign, Angle trying for a return and RVD on the way back I don't really see what Bully would bring to the table enough to deserve a push. They'd want the Dudleyz back and I can't see Bully wanting to do that...

Why would WWE want a guy that is possibly the last remaining guy in wrestling seen to have "legit" tough guy credentials to mainstream fans who has successfully reinvented himself into a formidable singles heel character (arguably the best in the entire business right now) and who can always end up having a surprise reunion with Devon that would pop viewership numbers for a while? Especially with the temporary return of the New Age Outlaws and an attempt at reigniting the tag division, Bully Ray may very well have more overall value than Sting or AJ Styles. He is a role player that WWE needs.

Bring Bully Ray into WWE, have him feud with Christian, have him convincingly win that feud in brutal fashion, this instantly places Bully as a top guy, him being a natural bully places him as the exact thing all the faces in WWE are supposed to hate...so many midcarders could benefit from working with Bully right now that it would almost be silly not to sign him, regardless of his age.

You guys don't seem to understand. If he comes back to the WWE, he isn't going to be Bully Ray. That's a TNA/Ray gimmick that was developed in another federation. No way the WWE uses it if they brought him in as they hate using gimmicks they didn't invent themselves.

Bully would be right back to Bubba again. Hell I wouldn't even be shocked to see the WWE makes him look like an idiot and give him a shit character.

Greatest tag team? Chicago's own Legion of Doom/Road Warriors would like a word with you.

Such a shame that Hawk died, the attempts to re-do the LOD have failed horribly IMO, the team of Animal and Heidenreich sucked, as did the team of Animal and Droz IMO.

If Bully owns the rights to the character and signs then over to WWE, they'll take it in a heartbeat. A recognizable face at the peak conditioning of his life that can generate heel heat nearly as well as Paul Heyman can? And he can immediately be thrown onto the roster as a big deal? All he needs to do is a "Do you all remember me? You know what, I don't care if you do, you're all just another in a line of people who are going to get their asses kicked." Set him loose on the WWE upper midcard. Profit.

Not sure what that cryptic tweet by Bully Ray means, but if he did decide to come back to WWE you bring him in as a Paul Heyman guy. When RVD comes back I bring him back as Paul Heyman guy. If they let Bully Ray be the character he's been in TNA I'm all for it. The guy has been awesome to say the least. His mic ability has really shined down south. I'd give him a World Title Reign because the fans would eat it up and he and Daniel Bryan could really tear the roof of of the place while Roman Reigns & Bray Wyatt sharpen their skills a little bit.

I would love if he and d'von were to reform the dudley boys, such a great tag team arguably the greatest in wrestling history.
However as a singles competitor bully has really thrived and not only as a performer but his mic skills are very impressive, I wouldn't rule out a title run in the wwe for him.

He will not achieve much in a return, very over rated and would probably headline Main Event at best. His done well in TNA but that's about his level.

Some of you fail to realize that in a predetermined "sport" the only thing that matters is money. He would make a helluva lot more wrestling in front of 15,000 instead of 500.

Another "cryptic" message that I'm taking with a grain of salt. But entertaining this as if it's true, if Bully has the opportunity to go back to WWE, I wouldn't be mad at him. Get that money if it's good enough. I don't know if he'd have a run like he did in TNA as champ, but I can see him dominating the mid-card and winning the US belt. Do they want Devon? Doubt it. While the Dudleys have their share of fans, it might not translate to profit these days. But this is all talk as far as I'm concerned. I'll believe Ray is done if I read he's on Raw or Smackdown, 'cause I'm not watching WWE.

I'm a big fan of Bully Ray, so I'd be all for this. He's one of the few good things about TNA and one of the best heels in the business imo. He'd be able to put on some entertaining feuds with top faces like Cena and Bryan. At the very least he could make the midcard interesting, facing the likes of Ziggler, Big E, and Cesaro. I'd bring him back solo and eventually turn him face and give the fans a Dudley Boyz reunion.

Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy would probably like to correct your thinking on that.
Hell, how about Phil.. right now he left money on the table.

Wrestling is more than just a simple predetermined sport. There is an art to wrestling and one's creative freedom to express themselves freely trumps all in some cases.
