"watch spiketv(Monday)8pm est 4hulks return 2wrestling I'm the new backstage guy think I'm on a total of 4x Please tell everybody u know."

In his tweet, he says he is the new backstage guy. I am wondering if this is a one time occurrence or is this going to be a weekly thing? Where does this leave Borash?

Borash in my opinion had more personality than most wrestling backstage interviewers in recent history. He does come off as a little geeky. Maybe Hogan and Bischoff wanted someone that appears a little more stronger as a backstage guy.

I'm a big fan of JB backstage, and wish he'd stay on camera. I'm not surprised that Bubba would be coming in though, since this is what Hogan does. He's bringing in his buddies, and this is a prime example. The guy is a fan, but that's about it. What purpose would it serve to replace JB in the backstage role?

I'm not happy about this, but I won't bitch too much, since I'm sure there's more of these to come.

JB only interviews Jeff and Foley or Angle sometimes, so you never really notice him, but the guy does have outstanding charisma. As for this Love guy, i have no clue who he is.

Bubba The Love Sponge is the epitome of a Radio Hack, and at one time hated Howard Stern with a passion until they both were employed by Sirius, and now he's kissing the ring, so to speak. His voice is horrendous, and JB is really talented as the backstage interviewer for TNA. People who don't live in the south are going to hate Bubba with a passion. It's no surprise that he was hammering the shit out of TNA on his show as well until Hogan joined the company.

Maybe Bubba will be Hogan's personal backstage guy, so to speak. I can't see him being accepted on any level by most wrestling fans as JB's replacement.

We're assuming that Bubba is gonna replace Borash. Who's to say that he's not coming in to replace Hermie Sadler? I would prefer Bubba to replace Hermie, I've always hated Hermie for some reason.

Hopefully Bubba will bring Ned on TNA.. now that would make me actually watch it..

agreed with all points above.. But hell this maybe his true calling and not radio.. ya never know..

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Wasn't the guy bashing TNA ever since Matt Morgan no-showed his radio program or something?

I think it's a bad move to replace JB. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I think he is likable. But hasn't Christy Hemme kind of replaced him already? I haven't been following TNA very closely lately so she might already be gone or something but I thought she became a backstage interviewer recently. Maybe it's her they're going to replace instead of Borash?

I personally would hate this. I love JB on camera as the backstage interviewer. Replacing him seems pointless. But if Hogan wants to go and bring in all of his buddies, who am I stop him? If JB isn't on iMPACT! tonight, I won't be happy , but I'm not about to start ranting about it.

JB will still be doing what he is doing now but just with the foley/jarret faction and bubba will be doing the same thing with the hogan/dixie side. they are going to split tna right down the middle like they wanted to happen with the nwo.

If this happens I riot. In many ways, JB is the voice of TNA. To fans who have seen a show live, they will testify how good he is at carrying a live show. He keeps fans interested, has a clear knowledge of the product and forms a good relationship with whoever he is sharing the screen with. I thought he and Hemme would be important in their roles.

I don't know Bubba but he is clearly on Hogans coat tails and I hate it. I only hope Hulk doesn't f-up too much tonight and in the future by bringing more of "his" guys.

I really think this is just going to be a short time thing. Maybe just tonight. JB is one of the best backstage guys in recent memory and the best one in the business today. He is like the Adam Schefter of wrestling (Schefter is one of the top NFL rumor guys). JB has good charisma, great on the mic, and can interact with any of the superstars. Plus he can be pretty funny. I don't know much about Bubba the Love Spunge, except for the fact he has a ridiculously stupid name. Hopefully he doesn't replace JB, as that would be a major downgrade.

I don't know much about Bubba the Love Sponge, although I cringe at any occurrence of someone getting hired solely because their friends with Hogan and nothing more.

I haven't read anything about JB leaving so it's possible that this is a short term thing, or that JB is getting another position ( like what happened with Don West and Taz ), or there's just going to be more than one backstage person.

All I've heard about the guy is that he's a major mark for Hogan, so that could get annoying quick. That being said, if Hogan's going to bring in any of his buddies, I'd rather it be the guy doing backstage interviews than some has-been showing up to wrestle.

But I like JB, so if their kicking him to the curb for this dude, I say start the petition NOW! lol.

But seriously, I don't want JB to lose his job for a Hogan lackey.

I'm not very surprised by this. I knew that Hogan was going to bring in some of his friends and stooges and get them jobs with TNA.

I wasn't all that fond of JB at first, but the guy grew on me. He has some charisma, had some good energy about him, seemed like he not only liked what he was doing but was pretty good at the role they had for him. I'm not going to complain too much about this. Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Val Venis and the Nasty Boys are said to be backstage tonight as are Hogan's kids and Jason Hervey. Hall and Waltman will appear in some way on the show for sure, probably the nWo reformation. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nastys come out tonight as well.

And so it begins.

There is NO reason why Bubba should be showcased tonight in 4 segments. NO reason at all. The average wrestling fan won't know who he is. He can't wrestle, his voice is crap, and he would eat the shit out of Hogans diaper if he was asked too.

I would rather see 4 segments with Angelina Love then with Bubba. or 4 segments with Wolfe then Bubba. But apparently Mr Hogan knows something we don't. Apparently his secret weapons to defeat Vince and draw that wonderful 3.0 rating lies in the hands of Hall, Xpac and Bubba.

If Angelina Love wasn't returning tonight I wouldn't even watch TNA. Ok that's a lie. I'd watch for the X division match. But that's about it

I really hope this isn't true. JB is my favorite backstage interviewer in all of wrestling and has been for a few years now. He has great energy, he's knowledgeable, can interact with anyone, and he can be genuinely funny (ex. his segments with Foley). He has this charismatic, geekiness about him that I love and it's a great contrast with all the badass/cool wrestlers.

I don't know much about Bubba the Love Sponge other than that he hosts a radio show, which I've never listened to. I hope this is a one-night thing (though I'm not happy with that either, since I like to see JB at every show, especially one as important as tonight's) But I think TNA will be making a big mistake if they get rid of Borash.

I'm pretty indifferent about this. Mainly because while I know who Bubba the Love Sponge is, I've never seen a picture of him in my life and have no idea what he looks like or how well he'd do as a backstage personality. He's apparently entertaining enough to have a very popular radio show though so I suppose he won't be too bad.

I've always been kind of back-and-forth on JB. I mean, on one hand you have to love his antics backstage with Foley and the comedy he brings to the show, but on the other hand I simply cannot take him seriously every time he announces the TNA main event or when he's involved in a storyline.

Really I don't care how this plays out. Bubba, JB, whatever, I'm more interested in the action in the ring than the people on camera backstage. It's damn obvious that Bubba is only getting this job because of Hogan, but eh, who knows, maybe he could be pretty entertaining.

That would be pretty awkward to have a 300 plus pound short radio host be interviewing the wrestlers. I could understand if he was backstage or was there for only one night, I hope it wouldn't be long term though. He has a decent radio show with a lot of TNA wrestlers on there as guests. I guess it could give TNA exposure.

I would rather see JB or even Christy Hemme, but who knows. Maybe its a short term thing, maybe he is just there to have fun without being on camera. We will have to wait and see. His wife is hot as hell though. Maybe if he brought her on there we would have something nice to look at backstage.

I'm pretty much in agreement with everything here. His name, and his appearance, both work against him being a respected interviewer, and the fact he got hired via Hogan is bad news.

JB is a great interviewer, and is a staple in TNA. Christy Hemme is clearly the best looking of the 3, and was really impressing me with her interviewing skills.

From what was reported just recently, it's for Tonight only. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing, though in terms of it not being long term. Despite the fact that he isn't all that a big celebrity or anything, he does have "some" name value that helps give credence to the show and is somewhat of a personality.

Plus, it would undoubtedly bring more listeners to his show, as well ... to which he could help promote TNA.

So it probably would be a good thing for him to take over. Borash simply has to leave the interviewing as well as the Main Event ring announcer position. He seems to struggle just to dress professionally as an interviewer, which is bad enough. Someone in his position given the character he plays should be in a suit and tie at all times.

If he is more of a character, than that is a different story, but him in the role he is now, should look a little more respectable than what he usually dresses.

Rember the old female backstage interviewer, Lauren. She was let go from tna a liitle while ago if i remeber correctly. All JB does when she was with the company was interview the big stars. I think that Bubba was brought in just to interview the undercard and do hogan shit because lets face it he will bring life to the undercard. TNA survived with two backstage interviewers before and i feel thats all his hiring is as a replacement.

I'm not a huge Borash fan but then again I appreciate him enough to understand his worth in the company. They can easily use Borash for main event interviews and keep Christy for the undercarders and some other special circumstances. It's only fitting to have Hemme rather than Borash interviewing Big Sexy. We all know what JB brings to the table and I'm slowly growing to like Christy as an interviewer as she's got some personality and, I think, not necessarily the kind of girl you can't help but call Toots. She looks great and has a charisma that HAS carried her around the business as a wrestler so why not make the most of it in an interviewer role?

I don't know that much about the sponge but already I am annoyed and disgusted. I would accept him only and ONLY if they would use him in a crazy storyline where he actually feuds against Foley (and JB, of course). If this really is only a short term thing, I am willing to put up with him until we get back to a pretty good 2 interviewer team (Borash and Hemme).

I didn't think Bubba did a bad job, but he is no JB. I even prefer Christy Hemme because at least she has been with the company. Bubba is just there because he is buddies with Hogan. I guess TNA can get exposure through his radio show on Sirius though.

I'm not sure if it was for tonight or a long term deal. I certainly hope he doesn't replace JB though. Maybe we will see heel and face interviewers, with JB and Christy as the faces with Bubba as the heel.

I am looking at it from a different view right now. Apparently Bubba the Love Sponge is going to be the heel backstage guy and Borash is going to be the face backstage guy. It has been awhile since I have seen something like that, but I think it will work. Borash being the somewhat stupid lovable guy and the Love Sponge being the manipulative guy who is hated.

I hope that Borash does not get replaced because he was great in the backstage interviewer role. He's a lot better than Bubba the Love Sponge and I would be disappointed if Bubba takes over Borash's role because I think Borash deserves to keep on doing the interviews backstage.

After Bubba talked about story lines last night just shows that he won't be in TNA much longer. Yes he apologized but it's one and done in the wrestling business. JB will stay I'm sure of it, but Bubba might be there to interview Hogan and plug his show. Again another reason to get rid of Dixie.
