Broncos Fire Josh McDaniels

Big Sexy

Deadly Rap Cannibal
The Denver Broncos have fired head coach Josh McDaniels. He started out his first season as head coach last year going 6-0. The team finished that year going 2-8 and missing the playoffs. They have started off this year at 3-9 making McDaniels 5-17 in his last 22 games. He completely changed the culture in Denver and it obviously wasn't for the better.

He also was at least partially responsible for the departure of big names like Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall and also a guy in Peyton Hillis who is now tearing it up in Cleveland. The firing of McDaniels was almost inevitable but it's a little surprising that it happened during the season. The Broncos running backs coach Eric Studesville will be taking over as the interim Head Coach.

Thoughts on the firing? Good idea, bad idea? Where do the Broncos go from here?

Thought they should have finished out the season with him, but it really makes no difference. McDaniels was a fucking twat who kept forgetting that he was the head coach, and not the offensive coordinator. He built a team of offensive plyers and left us with a piss poor defense, not to mention basically giving away Peyton Hillis. Broncos should've never fired Shannahan, and I'll be interested to see who the long term replacement for McDaniels is.

With what's left of the season I was sure he would coach the rest of the year and then be fired. No problem with the firing, just question the timing of it. At any rate, he deserved to be fired. Traded Cutler and Marshall. Traded away Hillis. Gave up 3 draft picks (2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounders) just so he could draft Tim Tebow, a project if there ever was one. He wasn't ready for the position and got the axe. Desvered, but maybe bad timing.
