Brock VS CM Punk

Dark Match Winner
Anyone who saw the reaction that Brock got the 1st night he returned knows it was the loudest reaction WWE has seen for quite some time. When Brock returns, are him and Punk going to be Allies? I would love to see Brock return and not get along with Punk, Heyman tries to make the alliance work, then Brock says the hell with both of you and F5 Punk. Would make a great Survivor series match. I know it won't happen though, because most people see that Brock is a way better heel than he is a face. He may be, but I think he would get that huge reaction once again if he had a run as a face.

I don't see it. I just don't see too many people getting pumped to see Lesner vs Punk. Punk is not over enough for that- he doesnt bring people in. I dont think its a dream match for anyone. People would rather see Lesner with Cena again or Rock or Taker. Maybe even Ryback- of course that depends on if keeps building momentum.

They could be testing the waters here for that very match.

Ryback is simular to Brock in Size and that Bad Ass look.

If Punk works a good match against Ryback, it could set up a Punk/Lesnar Fued with Brock turning his back on Heyman to start a fued with Punk. The problem is Punk will always look weak against the likes of Ryback, and it's totally unbelievable against Brock with his UFC background.

Ryback is booked to Over Power CM Punk right now. Brock Lesnar would be booked to Bludgeon CM Punk.

It's a nice idea but i can see Brock Lesnar bought back to deal with Ryback to help Punk.

I don't think it's a top choice for Brock matches, but I'd love to see it. I think it'd be a great match. I think it would be even more interesting to see the build up with Heyman, and whose side he took and everything

How do people by Cena Brock and not punk brock? honestly The extra 20 pounds wouldn't mean shit with Brocks fighting background. Not to mention you've had Guys like HHH and cena beating Big show with a far greater weight difference. That match would realistically be over in about two seconds. One second for big show to strike, one second for his 250/60 pound opponent to hit the crowd.

Ryback is simular to Brock in Size and that Bad Ass look.

I had been thinking about that. Wouldn't it be good to see Brock and Ryback standing next to each other, just to see how they stack up? If Ryback cements his main event status by doing well against Punk, there might be interest in a Ryback-Brock match, although the height of the contest might be watching them posture before it starts.....because while Brock is an accomplished ring worker, Ryback is strictly a spot-hitter; he doesn't wrestle, he waits for his opponent to stand directly in front of him so he can utilize his sparse arsenal of strength moves. He doesn't chase, he doesn't run, he doesn't use standard wrestling moves. Still, the sheer size present in the ring might make Vince McMahon order this one, provided Ryback can become a dominating presence. Maybe next year, if Brock re-signs.

Meanwhile, Punk seems too small and skinny to make a match against Brock attractive; he certainly seems small next to Ryback. But if there's anyone with the flexibility of performance to bring off this match, it would be Punk. However, Punk's face turn seems to preclude him as an opponent for Brock. Also, I'm just not sure Punk is an effective enough presence to sell as Brock's opposition. Yes, they've kept him as champion for almost a year, but that's producer-manufactured; it doesn't mean he would stir fan interest as an opponent for a monster like Brock. If Creative really wants this, they can build some sort of program....a real or imagined grudge between the two, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I still believe Brock's match at the next Wrestlemania will be Undertaker.

I just don't really see it happening. While it's a possibility, I just don't think that it's in the cards. WWE put a lot of effort into making Brock Lesnar into someone for fans to dislike. I just don't see Brock Lesnar as a face. His attitude, his demeanor and just everything about him screams that he's heel.

I also don't see WWE turning Punk face in order to go against Lesnar because they've put a lot of effort into Punk being a top heel. He still gets some cheers like a good number of heels do, but the heat definitely outweighs the cheers.

It wouldn't bother me to see this as a feud, I think it's got possibilities, but I just don't see it. I have a feeling that WWE is either going for Triple H or Ryback to go against Lesnar at WrestleMania 29.

People don't wanna see Ryback vs Brock because they know for a fact it'll be a better match than Goldberg vs Brock. :D

To be serious: I always thought that CM Punk vs Brock would be interesting. Because of their backgrounds they could make this a very striking-based match up in the style of the Shoot-Fights of Japanese Wrestling.
No different than when Vader used to take on smaller Japanese wrestlers..they still looked credible.

Quickly speaking, Brock vs Punk in terms of interest and match quality is a must-see. But as a big-draw, star power match? Not so much.

I still want to see it though. But if Lesnar does return he's probably joining Punk, unless Heyman back stabs him.

While I would enjoy seeing it ... it would have to be a major swerve of some sort and would not make a lot of sense right now.

Punk and Lesnar should be allies of some sort because they are both in cahoots with Heyman. I don't see the logic in Heyman being involved with Punk just to swerve him and bring Lesnar back to bounce him around.

There is just no way it works with breaking Lesnar off of Heyman. He needs a mouthpiece. Unless they wanted to bring Johnny Ace back as Lesnar's mouthpiece, it doesn't work really.

If you're going to do Punk vs Lesnar, Punk HAS to be the face, and here's why.

Lesnar has been a heel since 2004. He was a heel in UFC (based on his actual attitude and fans truly not liking him). He came back to WWE, and was a heel then. He beat up on Cena, beat up on Triple H, HBK, etc. The dude is a heel and should stay that way.

The thing is, the WWE isn't ready to turn Punk face. If they were, say by Elimination Chamber, then here's how I'd do it.

Punk loses to Ryback at HIAC. Then loses at Survivor Series. Then wins the belt back at TLC due to Brock Lesnar helping him and aligning with Punk and Heyman. It would be a ladder/TLC match, so Ryback doesn't get pinned/submit and can essentially still go with the unbeaten streak.

Punk loses the title to The Rock at the Rumble. Blames Lesnar for not helping. At Elimination Chamber, Lesnar and Punk are in the #1 contender match, and Lesnar gets eliminated by Punk. Next night on RAW, Lesnar brutally attacks Punk, Heyman gets a couple of kicks in on Punk, says he was using Punk, etc. Punk comes out and uses his skills on the mic to get the crowd back on his side and they go from there.
