Brittany Gone From TNA

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
This according to TNAInsider:

TNA Knockout Brittany is officially gone from the Impact Wrestling. Brittany, real name Santana Garrett, returned to SHINE yesterday at their iPPV event. Santana first worked for TNA in 2010, and then made her return as a wrestler in 2014. Her most notable feud during her tenure was with Madison Rayne. After that, she aligned her-self with Samuel Shaw in his feud against Gunner. Brittany has not commented on the departure, so it could just be her contract was up and she decided to not re-sign.

If true, while Brittany herself isn't a big loss, how she's left is, considering she's simply going to disappear and this whole angle with Shaw (which wasn't really getting over anyway, for the record) will just die a blunt death.

It's not that I'm upset the angle is dying, either. It sucks. But I hate when anything drops dead in a company, especially one known for having this kind of shit happen all the time (at least in the past) where a talent contract runs out right to the end and expires before Creative has a chance to actually write them off successfully.

It's true that Brittany is no big loss to TNA. Don't get me wrong, she was decent eye candy, but ring wise she didn't impress me, not that she was outright terrible. But the story with Sam Shaw really was a dud, especially after he got beat by Gunner. There was really no where else to go.

I agree. My thought, and I could be wrong, is that when TNA starts on Destination America; it will be a completely "New" show. They may keep a few story lines (like the James Storm one since I believe everyone that is part of that is under contract, and it seems to have some traction), but they'll start booking fresh.

I actually like this idea, even though in the past it has been frustrating when they dropped a storyline without closure: Joe's Nation of Violence, and Matt Morgan vs. Hogan are two that I would have loved to have seen come to a natural conclusion.

TNA has done a lot better job paying off story lines in the last year, so maybe they'll continue that on the new network. The only thing I hope is there is NOT another "faction coming in to take over the company". UNLESS they booked it this way…

If they had the faction being returning TNA wrestlers under the mask. I would love Matt Morgan, Crimson, Amazing Red, (I know he retired but since I'm fantasy booking) Petey Williams, Joey Ryan, the Young Bucks, AJ Styles, and maybe a few others come back. They come in as some group, and start running roughshod over TNA, and this time, they are backed by a huge investor. They take every title, and then it is revealed the ring leader is EC3. Dixie's nephew takes over the company.

I know that will not happen, so I'm going to stick to no faction wars. haha
