Breaking News: Bryan "Crush" Adams passes away

Mad Metal

Getting Noticed By Management
http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/bryanadamspasses

World Wrestling Entertainment has learned that Bryan Adams, also known to our fans as Crush, has been found dead today. More details are unknown; stay tuned to WWE.com as they become available.

This is awful and he wasn't old at all, but most likely due to the same reason as the rest of the names. I'm sure the media will pick this story up quickly to use against professional wrestling. Bad timing too. This is really sad news I don't really know what to say.

I had the chance to meet him a couple years ago and he was a really cool person.

The sad thing is this; the media in America lacks of respect for professional wrestling & the athletes not taking them serious? Must these wrestlers die just to get some respect?

I think some media may pick up on it, but it all matters around the circumstances of the death. John Kronus has died since, and that didn't cause a peep in the media.

Adams being a former WWF guy may cause a stir, but I don't think anyone will pick it up outside of a passing mention.

2007 is certainly just a bad year to be a wrestler.

I disagree, I think the media will be all over this. John Kronus, with all due respect, was a virtual nobody in terms of popularity and notoriety in the wrestling world. Bryan Adams had several runs in WWF, WCW, and others, people will know him. Guaranteed, watch Nancy Grace or some other sensationalist "media" show today, and some yahoo like Marc Mero will be on there stupidly running his mouth about being the messiah of the wrestling industry, going on and on about his list of wrestlers who have passed prematurely.

I read that earlier today as well. This is horrible, & indeed its a bad year for the wrestling world. It makes me sick to know all these wrestlers are dying one by one, so quickly.

Suicude, Murder, Accidental, or otherwise.. every time a wrestler dies, it hurts. Bryan Adams was a personal favorite of mine.. especially when he went to W.C.W. to form Kronic, but I knew him as Crush back in the early 90's. He, like those before him, will be greatly & deeply missed.

The worst part of all this.. is awaiting to see if any backlash will come of it, toward the world of pro wrestling. Just let them rest.. why does death in wrestling have to be mirrored with lashing out at the wrestling companies?

this is just insane so many have died so soon already in this year alone i have never seen this many pass away in one years time

well the media is the media, they will do what gets them the biggest reaction. as for bryan adams ( crush ) he was one of the wrestlers i knew from when i was growing up. so for him 2 stick out in my memory he must of been decent. the 2 matches i always remember is wrestlemania 9 against doink. loved the build up as i was scared of clowns and he tried to batter one thought it was good as a kid. then a year later against macho man at wrestlemania 10 falls count anywere. they wernt great matches but they stick out in my mind today and bryan was in them both. so feel i deserve to say thank you to him for my memories ill never forget them and i hope you rest in peace man. x

RIP Brian
I loved how Kronic destroyed mouth heel teams so quickly, that was fun to watch when I was younger. And Ill never forget the Demolision days

Another dead wrestler.

It's getting to the point where one almost anticipates another wrestler dying...sad, isn't it?

Anyways, NO QUESTION that drugs/steroids have played a major factor in every wrestler's death in the past ten years (starting with Brian Pillman).

How many more wrestlers have to DIE, before somebody steps in and regulates this industry?

Marc Mero is an overated wrestler who is still pissed that Sable married Brock Lesner. Now that Bryan Adams has passed on we will hear Meros BIG mouth for the next 3 weeks crying about the use of steroids.

Holy shi...He was another pretty big name in sports entertainment..Wrestlers are falling down like flies in recent years..

it was bound to happen, i apologies if anyone gets offended but this is just my opinion, look at brian adams back in his time in wcw he was ripped, the dude just couldnt stay off of the meds, and this is becoming even more of a serious issue, the industry needs to take wrestlers abilities more seriously rather then just look at their bodies, even think about doing training sessions before these guys get into the ring or something, im prediciting that the same will happen to guys like batista, cena and even triple h, guys need to stop abusing drugs there is no need, the list is growing of ex wrestlers whove died due to abusing steroids and other drugs just to keep them in the main event level that they keep competing:cuss2:

If you go to the Yahoo.com website and click under the sports headlines, they have picked up the Brian Adams/Crush death. They would not release his wife's name, and they did their best to "non-intentionally" lump it together with Chris Benoit's death, by blatantly mentioning Chris Benoit's death at the end of the article. Also, they mentioned steroids were found at Benoit's house, etc, etc. So they aren't even gonna let the death of Brian Adams have a chance before they start lumping it in with steroids. It's really stupid that they start the steroid thing right away, but then again it's really stupid that most of the old wrestlers are dying because of steroid use to begin with. I think that Adams should get the steroid blame, but only if it's actually proven that HE FUCKING DID STEROIDS. Not just because he happens to be a wrestler that died.

Haha, that's fucking great. Honestly, who the Hell is Nancy Grace? Before the Benoit situation, I hadn't heard of her. I would say, who gives a shit what the people on the 24 hour news channels think?

These people are vultures, looking for any tiny bit of news to chomp their beaks into. This isn't news, it's gossip. If it's not on the big three nightly news, or the BBC or anything like that, then it's not news. If I turn on Katie Couric and I see Brian Adams is dead, then it's big news. If I turn on ABC and see another wrestler dead, then it's big news.

People like Nancy Grace, Greta Van Sustern, Hannity and Colmes, and all this, they are garbage, probably pulling in .4 in the ratings. They get a few actual followers. Wrestling fans that turn in to be pissed when they watch this shit, spike their ratings.

If you ignore it, it will go away. Marc Mero is a piece of shit, so just don't mention him.

I'm very shocked by this news. Bryan Adams was personally one of my favourites during the late 90's (96-99) I liked him with the demolition and i liked him in singles action as kona crush or the convict crush. this is truly a sad year for wrestling fans.

this is why i am against tna bringing in wwe guys who where fired from the company, for instance angle, they are feeding his ego and letting him get away with taking steroids and pain killers, i dont want to see another death in this industry but im afraid to say this one is coming, real soon i hope im wrong

I wasn't really a fan of his music. But I always had a soft spot for him as a wrestler. He wasn't terribly good. But for some reason I always enjoyed watching him. Probably because my mother said he was a handsome devil. She was always right, I found him quite alluring.

i never really was a big fan but I liked the Kronik gimmick but R.I.P. Crush

So still no cause of Death has been found, but the media played it up like it was steroids, just because he used to be a juicer. So searching around, I found this on the website.

On a side note, Adams was suffering from sleep apnea at the time of his passing.

Hmm, no cause of Death, and a 300 pound man suffering from Sleep Apnea, hmmm. Again, I know that there is a real problem in wrestling with Steroid use, but the media gets this shit so damn wrong it's not even funny. Guys its simple, if you don't watch that shit when a wrestler dies, then they won't air it. Just because you are pissed at watching Marc Mero, the thing is, you are watching it and giving it ratings. 24 hour news channels get this shit wrong. They are nothing more then tabloid trash, it's simple. Nothing good comes from watching a 24 hour news network.

Sure the Apnea isn't confirmed either, but I would vbook that's going to be the case. Much like no steroids were found in Benoit's system. Just because someone used the drugs, doesn't mean the drugs resulted in their deaths. I really really hate the media, and shit like this leads to that stereotype.

"There was a private funeral held for former WWE and WCW star Brian Adams on 8/22 in Tampa, FL. The funeral home wouldn't release information to fans or media due to the request of the family. Those that attended the funeral included Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett, and the Nasty Boys. The correct date of birth for Adam was January 31, 1963, making him only 44 years old when he passed away on 8/13."

This was reported today - September 6th - on wrestlezone's main page. If this is true, Savage and Hogan were in the same room? I can understand that if they were there, they obviously were there to pay respects and wouldn't start a scene, but I can imagine that there were some glares and stares! I would love to know if there was any conversation!
