Braun Suspended for Remainder of the Season

smizzy

Doubt it, bud.
Official today: Braun is out for the rest of this season and will not receive pay. Love how adamantly he denied any involvement after the 2011 case was overturned. It is nice that he is not appealing at the very least.

The first head rolls, more to come. Look out A-Rod.

You very well may wind up disappointed. He's one of the main names being tossed around.

If that is the case, STL would be more than happy to package Kozma up and send him north. Well, at least I would be happy.

It makes me more than a little nervous. not a lot of quality SS's available. May have to hope for a defense first option.

This.

It amazes me how guys still haven't learned from all of the past examples. If you fess up, people will forgive you and pretty much forget. If you continue the lie, you end up looking that much worse when you get caught.

I feel bad for any silly bastards who passed over Mike Trout and selected Ryan Braun instead in fantasy baseball. Surely, there was no one naive enough to do that this season, especially amongst the wrestlezone faithful.

:)

Personally I think it should be a 100-game suspension. He weaseled his way out of a suspension last season, and after failing a drug test less than a year later, it would seem to have made last year's appeal seem like a bit of a joke.

Take his ROTY. And his MVP. And have him sit the first 35 games of next season as well as the 65 this season. And better still, one more strike and he's gone.

Well there goes my first round pick. I don't think I'll really notice though. It's not like he was doing much anyway.

Better yet, what about the people who took Braun instead of Cabera?

I'm glad he got suspended but 65 games isn't enough. Its sad when these days everybody has their numbers questioned because of a few bad eggs. If Colon is even in the running for Cy Young this year i'll be pissed.

Then what's the point of an appeal system? I'm no Milwaukee or Braun fan by any means. In fact, they're a rival team. However, acting like he should get his second strike makes the appeal system meaningless. Who cares if he got off on a technicality? You shouldn't break one rule to prove that breaking another is wrong.
