Bow Down to the Slasher King!

This will certainly be considered an upset to many, but the master of nightmares is officially WrestleZone's Slasher Villain Champion. And to putit mildly, Freddy did not have an easy road to this honor. Following a relatively easy win over Scream's Ghostface, Freddy defeated an enigmatic Pennywise from the "It" series, before upsetting pre-season favorite Jason Voorhees and then finally dispatching the hitherto assumed "king of Halloween," Michael Myers.

Maybe his fecicious humor put him over the "strong, silent types" in Myers and Voorhees. Maybe his flair for the dramatics in the murders of his victims allowed him to overshadow the off-screen mutilations of Pennywise the clown. And Ghostface just sucks.

I'd have to assume that Freddy claimed this victory thanks in part to his backstory (bastard son of 1,000 maniacs) and his longevity (7 Nightmare films and a crossover with Friday the 13th), but either way, Freddy Kreuger is your slasher champion.

But wait, what's this. A good guy to save the day? It's only Ash. Star of Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 & Army Of Darkness. Freddy and most of the participants in this tournament are all losers. In several movies Freddy never won. Always a loser. Ash on the other hand, is 3-0. Hail To the king, baby.

Jake has a good point. One of the very few people to have three consecutive victories in horror movies. He Is also a good guy in the film. Which is shocking in and of itself. Ash was a pure badass.

Other than that. This tournament was heaps of fun. The people that voted and posted their thoughts made it alot of fun. Also the match ups themselves were doozies. I think that The Tall Man and Otis Driftwood got shafted, and the Jigsaw is a joke. Especially in this tournament. But it was still fun. Thanks to the creator, and also everyone that made this tourny so much fun.
