Bound For Glory 2014 LD

Did ROH not promote the PPV and keep all of their biggest talents off of it? Genuine question, I have no idea what ROH's biggest PPV of the year is.

The 2 events they did with NJPW had tons of talent from both companies, one had New Japan guys facing New Japan guys, & ROH guys facing ROH guys, the the second event was ROH guys vs. New Japan guys, both events did extremely well according to TDS.

But even at that it's a very shoddy plan, b/c they already had a working relationship with New Japan (arguably the top promotion in Japan) in the past. This is a clear downgrade. It's nothing but a glorified version of their old Global Impact shows which were way better than what we are currently seeing.

Aren't most of TNA's plans shoddy?

I'm not watching this show so I have no idea what is happening nor do I really care, because I can't be bothered to dig up a stream for it, I'd rather watch SNF & Walking Dead. This event was fucked from the start.

The problem is that the show hasn't been bad so far (ignoring the stalling that is). The problem is that it means nothing and isn't going to change anything in TNA. Also that it's Bound FOr Glory hurts a lot.

I didn't watch them, but the two ROH shows sounded about a million times better than this.

I know, but the crowd is totally still. What did they do? Put all the non-Japanese off camera?

To be fair there was one white guy in the crowd who was clapping near the start of the show. The non white woman next to him looked extremely bored.

Oh right it was their War of the World type deal, still they had their biggest stars trading wins with top talent in Japan. It wasn't like they benched over half the roster.

There's no doubt it was a good idea. Except the show not being treated as what it was for the past 8 years. The biggest show in TNA.

I was excited when they broke the news that it was going to be in Japan, but then my fear was turned into reality when the vs Wrestle-1 card came out and I saw all the names that were going to appear. I mean we just saw MVP beat Tenzai's manager and for what?

To pop the Japanese crowd. The show is for them.

The card doesn't feature big W-1 names either. KAI, Manabu Soya, Masakatsu Funaki, Shuji Kondo and the newly crowned W-1 champ Masayuki Kono were all left off the card showing how little this means to W-1 as well.

Sakamoto is a huge heel and a member of W-1's heel stable. Smart move having a heel vs heel match... not...

See that I didn't know, and it would've helped if Tenay or Tazz actually mentioned that instead of that he was Tensai's manager. Of course, Tenay and Tazz are just a walking paycheck at this point.

I'm almost certain that I've never seen Tommy Dreamer deliver a promo other than sad, emotional one detailing how much love and respect he has for *insert subject here*

Not watching the show but have read the remarks. This is truly sad. This is what they do for their biggest show of the year?
