Borderlands 2 Confirmed!

It was recently announced that Gearbox Software, the developers of the original Borderlands and Duke Nukem Forever, have officially announced that they are currently developing Borderlands 2. This, to me, is big news. I'm currently playing Borderlands 1 and I love this game. I've been waiting quite a while for a sequel and I'm sure you fans have waited as well. From what's been said so far, Borderlands 2 will have new characters, weapons, enemies, environments, etc., and it'll also take place in unexplored areas of Planet Pandora.

More info about the game will be revealed at this year's GamesCom convention and in PAX. It's also likely that the game will come out in 2012.

I can't wait. Borderlands is probably my favourite games of the last few years, one of my favourite of all time, so a sequel is great news. I didn't think it was likely, but now it's been announced, it's probably a case of pre-ordering it as soon as I can.
