Border Toss

D-Man

Gone but never forgotten.
So, reports are saying that Jesse Neal's neck is injured as a result of another shitty, Hernandez-given Border Toss. The same thing happened to Doug Williams in the past and all of the TNA fans blamed the injury on Williams for not "taking the move properly."

Can we finally stop being so ignorant and realize that Hernandez does a shit job of protecting his opponent when he performs this move? What do we need to prove this; another "broken FRICKEN neck?"

Discuss.

That's what the report said. I didn't see it... I just read the headline.

Wrestlezone headline said:
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA star Jesse Neal missed the last set of Impact tapings as well as this week's tapings as a result of a neck injury he received at the Sacrifice PPV when he took a Border Toss from Hernandez.

So am I wrong?

On the other hand, what the fuck other way is there to preform the move? the move is to throw someone high in the air through there head, should he bring a helmet to the ring to better protect his opponents?

Sheamus does it perfectly fine without injuring people. Why feel the need to throw them straight up in the air??

Yeah; wasn't a Border Toss.

Unlike Williams's injury though, thing one was 100% unambiguously Hernandez's fault.

because that is how the move is prefromed? because he isnt doing the same move that sheamus is doing? Its called a "toss" duh

You're 100% wrong. Look at the way Hall and Sheamus did their move and then look at the unsafe way Hernandez does it. Totally different.

Yeah the Border Toss is a pretty risky move. But it wasn't what hurt Jesse Neal because he never took it. The report is wrong.

Yea I know it is. Because its not the same move. Wait, did I say that already?

May be the same set up, and template so to speak, but so are a delayed suplex and a jackhammer. Its a different move. One that probably no one should do.

<facepalm>

It's the same concept of a move. They're the same move done two different ways. One is relatively safe and the other is not.

I just don't get it. Do you see my name on a post and say to yourself, "I... MUST... DISAGREE... SOMEHOW...."

EDIT: Yeah, I know you just posted that. Just saw it.

Once again, dont know what you are talking about. Seem to be accusing everyone on the forum of trolling you lately.

Its not a matter of me having to disagree with you, I DO disagree with you. Its not the same move, just as a powerbomb and a jackknife powerbomb are not the same move, as a suplex and a brainbuster are not the same move. Same template, more dangerous execution, different move

I guess it's just in the eyes of the beholder.

Technically, since every move by every wrestler has a different name in order to distinguish between them, the moves ARE, in fact, different. But many of them have such subtle and slight variations that they can easily be put in the same category as each other.

About 20 different kinds of suplexes exist in pro-wrestling. However, they are all suplexes.

Yeah, but each Suplex has a distictual name. You have the Vertical Suplex, the Belly To Belly, The German, The Doggystyle, The Dragon, The Tiger, The Manati, The Underhook and all that jazz.

Yes, and a german suplex is ten times more dangerous than a regular one. Glad we agree.

the fact its called the border TOSS and he you know, tosses his opponent was the big clue to me, personally
