Boo's for Daniel Bryan last night???

I insinuated in my original post, and clarified in a post above this. There's no excuse to not understand the ranking. It's merch sales from September 2014.

Where did you get this? And is it possible that Reigns popularity has waned since then?

And, Mr. DB-Fan, I'm sure that you think Daniel was more over, and maybe he was, slightly, but that doesn't mean that he's the best fit for every match. You and others like you need to calm down the fantasy booking and let the wrestlers perform their gimmicks. They want you to enjoy it, not shit on it and fantasy book over it.

Tell that to this guy:

Personally, I would book it like this:

Cena wins the Triple Threat, but he collapses after the match. Rollins cashes in at that moment, and takes the belt at Rumble.

Daniel Bryan is entered as number 2 in the Rumble, and wins.

Brock takes off Fast Lane, Cena gets a rematch at Fast Lane, and doesn't get the belt because of interference or something stupid.

Now we have:

Bryan v. Rollins for the WWEWHC
Lesnar v.Reigns
HHH v. Sting
And my dream retirement match, Cena v. Taker

But I think that it's crucial that Bryan and Rollins is for the WWEWHC. If we're going to accept some new main eventers, then they have to be main eventers. Brock v. Reigns can't be for the title, because it's shit no matter how the end of that plays out.

Didn't hear the boos, didn't pay much attention to be honest. Just enjoyed Raw for a change in a while. I don't know why people are expecting Reigns to get booed relentlessly. Fans didn't like The Rumble, they didn't want Reigns to win so they booed. It doesn't mean they hate Reigns, they just didn't like the position he was put in.

A month or so after DB goes out with injury. This is from September of 2014. Bryan is up there, sure, but for God's sake, he's under Sheamus. He was also still making occasional appearances, and they were still using his name. He just isn't the superstar you guys think that he is, and the fans aren't stupid enough to let you bully them.

Arenas

1. John Cena (he’s greatly outdistancing everyone else)
2. Roman Reigns
3. The Usos
4. The Wyatt Family
5. Brock Lesnar
6. Sting
7. Sheamus
8. Daniel Bryan
9. Dean Ambrose
10. Hulk Hogan

Online

1. John Cena
2. Dean Ambrose
3. Roman Reigns
4. Brock Lesnar
5. Steve Austin
6. AJ Lee
7. Daniel Bryan
8. Brie Bella
9. Hulk Hogan
10. Ultimate Warrior

So Bryan's sales numbers dwindled slightly in the late summer/early fall while he was absent and that means something? The fact is that obviously guys who were featured heavily at SummerSlam were gonna get a bump when compared to a guy that(again despite your incorrect claims otherwise) was basically completely MIA from WWE television. Also not only was Bryan not around, but new merch wasn't being produced for him, all that was out there was the stuff people had already purchased in the first half of the year. Just wait till we see the first quarter of 2015 numbers, Bryan's return coupled with new merch will have him right back into the number two spot behind Cena.

The Observer posted these same lists in May for the first part of the year and they looked like this...
Online:
1. Ultimate Warrior
2. John Cena
3. CM Punk
4. Daniel Bryan
5. The Wyatt Family
6. The Shield
7. Evolution
8. Hulk Hogan

Event sales:
1. John Cena
2. Daniel Bryan
3. Randy Orton
4. Ultimate Warrior
5. Rob Van Dam
6. Brock Lesnar
7. The Wyatt Family
8. Batista

But again, why let facts get in the way of a good argument, right?

a handful of smarks on internet boards go to live TV events and try to ruin the shows for the casual fans

So its a "handful of smarks on internet boards" that go to live TV events and just happen to be so loud that Bryan's pops outweigh everyone else's?

You still haven't addressed the fact that his crowd response is objectively louder and more positive than any of the wrestlers you claim are more admired.

Daniel Bryan is the casual fan's wet dream... Why?

Cos he's a wrestler who is not built like the proverbial shitter, ruggedly handsome or some goofy gimmick that makes them embarrassed... He's a real, working class guy who makes his living in the ring... People see their dads and brothers and even themselves in him... For every kid who loves Super-Cena or who they want to love Super-Roman, there will be one like Connor who sees someone like his dad in D-Bry... there will also be a 17 year old kid with longer hair, a bit scrawnier than the others who feels he can go out for the football or wrestling team or a 40 year old with less hair and a longer beard who thinks he can still get a girl like Brie.

Bryan is the ultimate avatar for the WWE Universe... Kids want to be like him, Parents would like their kids to grow up like him or to think they think the same of them as D-Bry, Joe Blow who aspires to be a wrestler and is saving to go to wrestling school can see it's possible, those who never stood a chance can relate to him...

There has literally never been a better advertisment for WWE than Daniel Bryan, he's clean living, almost a vegan, no drugs, roids, maybe the odd beer but no trouble we are aware of... grounded, humble, hardworking and he doesn't scream "phoney wrestler" he screams "Yes" to their product, literally and figeratively.

He's not the template and that is why it works... the only way I ever see him going off the rails is cos of Brie, and girls like that don't pick guys like that unless it's really love... look at Foley and his missus... he got a scorching model same as Bryan...

That's why most of the fans want Bryan instead of some forced guy... Sometimes the nice guy has to finish last, but this isn't that time. Only Vince seems to think it is... It reminds me of that old movie Falling Down where the Police Captain berates Robert Duvall for basically being a good man... "I don't trust a man who doesn't curse" or basically have any vices... If someone has no vices, there is no means of controlling them or bending them to your thinking... Bryan is clearly unique and his own man, like Punk was and Vince HATES that.

Yeah, I still think that Lesnar v. Reigns shouldn't be for the title, but that's because I think Rollins should have the belt. That doesn't change anything.

Fantasy booking is fine, I don't get mad or make things up when my fantasy booking isn't picked. That's the difference.

There were a few boos for Bryan last night, just like there were audible "Rocky sucks" chants in his match against CM Punk at Elimination Chamber 2013. The smarkier smarks don't just boo for the guys the office are pushing down our throats, they boo the guys they used to like because being "last year" just isn't something a chronically insecure, "cool" person wants to be perceived as.

HAHAHA. Not even close. Daniel Bryan is known to hardcore fans as The American Dragon, Bryan Danielson, etc. but to casual fans, wives, girlfriends, etc, he's known as Brie Bella's husband.

He's a nobody to the casual fan, which isn't a slam, but he's on equal footing with anyone that's been in the WWE for a few years, and he's the exception in that he's had probably the biggest push in the last decade.

Roman Reigns just looks like a champion, and he looks like someone to carry the standard.

Seriously? Daniel Bryan was arguably the number one guy in all of wrestling this time last year, main eventing last years Wrestlemania winning the world title but he's probably better known in wrestling as Brie Bellas husband? Really? I get you obviously aren't fan of Daniel Bryan which is fine to each their own but what kind of wrestling and how much of it do you actually watch? Maybe they should start advertising Brie Bellas husband vs Dolph Ziggler for wrestlemania perhaps they will get more of a buy rate as his name will now be more recognisable.

Sorry, but besides, "Yes!" almost every casual fan that I've ever spoken with does not think Daniel Bryan is a main event guy. They think he's interesting, but that he doesn't have the right look and that they don't care about what he's saying when he's on the mic. I don't know anyone else that reads dirt sheets, and I keep the fact that I do private when I hear someone mention wrestling at work.

The majority of fans would pick Roman over Bryan every single time, which would definitely lead to a decent amount of boos for Daniel Bryan.

Exact same thing I see. It's really like the twilight zone hearing people talk about him like he's just okay and then I come online and he's supposedly the biggest thing since Stone Cold Steve Austin. The most (perhaps only) appealing thing about Bryan is that he doesn't have the prototypical WWE look. That only appeals to people that are passionate about WWE's inner workings IMO.

I'm telling you, just from my experience, the only people that are dedicated to Daniel Bryan winning and headlining and main eventing are the people that read dirt sheets and/or watch indy promotions. The typical casual WWE fan couldn't care less about him. The casual fan wants to see the super chiseled heavy weights brawl it out in a main event.

Those merch sales? If so, it's pretty stupid to put something when a guy is out of action and doesn't even have new gear out.

Listen to the reactions and tell me what the merch sales are now. If that's from September, that's a lifetime in wrestling years.
