Book This! - General Discussion

I'm not a fan of TNA and it might take me a while to be sucked in. But if it is written well, I'll be there. The problem is that if you don't watch the show - and I don't watch TNA - then I don't know the characters enough to get into the angles. So the writing has to be excellent for me to understand. I'm sure it will be. I'll get round to reading it soon. ;)

Consider it like this my main angles at the moment are Angle vs Christian [Cage], AJ Styles vs Mr Anderson [Kennedy]. Those two angles are the main event ones that started during the first show. You know 3 out of the four guys. I do have a solid base of WWE wrestlers on the roster. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Give it a go and I'll have you sucked right into the game.

Show is coming along very well, 3 matches left.

I will get there eventually, Proph. It looks amazing from the skim through I did.

Allright Peepster, am fine. Yourself?

No worries, I was kind of getting bored without you man. I need something stable to read. Been following the thread since No Mercy, loving it. Just posted a some thoughts about the preview. You have so many angles to work off for Vengeance. I'm thinking we will see the following:

Vengeance 2010

Cena vs Barrett|WWE Championship

Orton vs Justin G|Some type of NO DQ gimmick

or Vengeance 2010

Orton vs Barrett|WWE Championship

Cena vs Justin G

Damn it Justin will be main eventing a PPV event in 2010 against either Cena or Orton!

I just have a feeling that Orton vs Cena is going to happen at Mania, and I think you could build it great. Wait and see how many people will jump onto my prediction once you get to the Rumble or further. I called it first ;)

I will say I have no idea who will be the Rumble winner, maybe Punk but that is just a blind prediction. I did call Punk vs Taker at mania though. Not to sure why. But Cena vs Orton will happen at Mania.

Here's a question: we all know that RAW sometimes has 3-hour specials. The 3-hour specials that the WWE uses though are not possible in my BT due to some of the changes I've made. For example,

King of the Ring - I've reinstated the KOTR PPV instead.

Draft - I've decided that Bragging Rights, following Backlash and WrestleMania, will be the night when the Draft takes place.

Viewers Choice - I've reinstated Cyber Sunday.

So I'm left with Old School Raw and Raw Roulette as my options - meh!

What other 3-hour specials could I use? Ideas please.

Everyone promo is done in song night.

Special GM night, some legend comes in.

The Slammies. (This is one you should do)

WWE Rewind Night (PPV matches from the past happen on RAW ie. Sheamus vs Orton from 2010 RR)

Monster Truck Night (Every superstar gets a truck to drive into the arena)

Fall Brawl Special (Two rings for one night only, throwback to the WCW PPV Fall Brawl)

WCW Night (Legends from WCW come into the show, for appearances. Have best of moments from Nitro or something)

The options in bold are the ones I actually think are good.

First Show should be up later today. WCW Starrcade, will introduce you guys to the rosters and feuds and the inaugral champions, Will be written in summery form.

Thanks Best, and to reply to your only real criticism, the reason I do not use times is because when I start to think about how long a match is lasting, it throws me off and it hinders my writing. So I just write what I feel and see in my head. and however long the match ends up, that's it.

The ratings should be up soon.

Think of it like 100 words equals 1 minute or 150 equals one minute. That can help with putting times.

The ratings are in:

Week 3-4 (6-19-11 through 7-3-11)

Greasy_Chip_Butty - 4.95

The Sign Guy - 3.55

Theo Mays - 2.99

#1Peep - 2.66

Global Icon - 2.54

Mr. HD - 2.26

avitus25 - 0.89

Proph, Best, Jam22, and wrestlingfan have been added for the new 2 weeks. If All That Jazz ever returns, he'll be added in the next one.

Ratings for the current shows. I do them every Sunday my time each two weeks. Here is the way I calculate them, it's quite simple.

First, I added up the views of all the current threads two weeks ago today. This evening, I have counted up how many views each thread has gotten since then, and translated them into a decimal form. Basically, if you had 300 views two weeks ago and you are now at 400, you received one hundred views. You have a 1.0 rating. For every ten views you have, that is the second number. And every single view you had later that is the third. So 300 views two weeks ago translated to 405 is 1.05, and likewise 300 views to 553 views is a 2.53. Pretty basic.
