Book This! - General Discussion

Sounds like you've done too much, too soon. Best thing to do, is take a break. Jot down any ideas you may get, but don't put too much work into it. I had a crazy amount of files for NSCw, and it burnt me out quick...

Considering that I have been booking in some form each week since I joined, I'm surprised it has taken me this long to really "burn out". I look at it like, I have two shows before my next PPV (my third). If I can write those two shows and do the PPV (where my plans pick up), I think I'll be interested and ready to book again. I do think a break could help me though. Last time I took a month break and haven't stopped since.

Looks like I'll be on break for awhile now guys.

I got the roster up, and got the faces and heels divided up. Makes it a bit easier to put feuds together in my head. More miscellaneous info will be up, as it comes to me...

wrestlingfan, your best bet would be to just PM people you think might be interested, perhaps go back through the archives and see who used to do shows, see if they'd be interested in returning.

EDIT: If you feel a break is needed take one for however long you need, Proph. It'll help.

There's alot of archives so I'll need your help. Just give me a good list of people you think would be interested in returning and want to help me.

I can't tell you who would be interested in returning, but some former writers are FalKon, Uncle Sam, Super Crazy, Megatron, D-Squared, Doc (now Diamond Dallas Page), and you could also try a few that have recent shows but they don't seem to be updating them (which might be a sign their recent project didn't work out, and they might want to try something different).

Also, the first edition of the ratings are in. Let me review the formula used once again. First, I added up the views of all the current threads two weeks ago today. This evening, I have counted up how many views each thread has gotten since then, and translated them into a decimal form. Basically, if you had 300 views two weeks ago and you are now at 400, you received one hundred views. You have a 1.0 rating. For every ten views you have, that is the second number. And every single view you had later that is the third. So 300 views two weeks ago translated to 405 is 1.05, and likewise 300 views to 553 views is a 2.53. Pretty basic. Here are the ratings, ranked from highest to lowest.

Week 1-2 (6-5-11 through 6-19-11)

Greasy_Chip_Butty = 6.56

Da Prophet = 5.99

Theo Mays = 3.35

Mr. HD = 3.27

The Sign Guy = 3.04

Global Icon = 2.53

#1Peep = 1.53

avitus25 = 1.05

Adalam = 0.83

All That Jazz = 0.69

wrestlingfan, I won't include you in the next two weeks ratings, as your thread in the main section is still just an idea in the making.

TheSignGuy:FalKon, Uncle Sam, Super Crazy, Megatron, D-Squared, Doc (now Diamond Dallas Page), So all these people I should talk too. I don't know how I'm going to contact all of them.

Private Message. And I can't guarantee any of them will, but they are just a few who used to post here.

I think that is reserved for mods/admins, as I have tried it before and it didn't work. But you can try. If it doesn't work, just message them one by one. It won't take that long. Also, instead of just typing a person's name to respond to then, use the quote button at the bottom of the post you want to respond to, It's much easier and looks better on the eyes.

Eh, Proph I would either take a long break or stop doing your current project if it is sapping your motivation.

Just saw this, personally I don't want to take a break as I have some free time coming up. But the current project just isn't doing it for me at the moment. If I was to start another project I do have some ideas.

Option 1: WCW from 2002

Option 2: TNA 2010

Option 3: WWE 2004 (with a partner doing Smackdown)

If I do drop the current project it will be on of them.

I lost any hope of a Peep review long ago. And thanks for the kind words.

EDIT:

I'm about three quarters through my next show, Theo how the graphics coming about?

EDIT: By the way, where has GCB been, the kid out already?

So you going to drop the WWE project for sure? And will it be for a break or for good?

I'll take a week or so off and then come back and decided what is next. The graphic is something I made a few weeks ago, so the idea has been in my head. I'm leaning toward do this new project just for the reason it'll be something easy and fun. Two shows is a bit to much for me. A return to the 2005 thread is always open, I have done so in the past. I'm happy with the work I did (Survivor Series is my best work ever) and I know people enjoyed reading. Considering I now have a project in the top ten most viewed, it feels good.

EDIT: After writing a PPV time off is needed. Takes a great deal of work, maybe you'll get to one some day.
