Book This! - General Discussion

DaProphet: Exactly, Basically I'm Head of Creative and then the other person puts the planning into action, And yes I plan to use my ideal federation in this case.

Pretty sure I'm making a return to Book This. I have a roster...Just need to organize a few shows, and decide what teams/feuds I'll be working with to start...

Let's hope this is far less labor intensive than NSCW.

I have my own roster myself, Just need to start it up and someone to write the shows. Willing to partner or do you already have yourself sorted out?

Lol...

Sorry bro, saw ya viewing the thread and just got excited. Your show was awesome, as I've told you many times before.

I've got my own show worked out. If you had any idea how much work I put into my last one, you'd understand that one is about all I can do at a time :lmao:

I've decided to bring back some of that roster...

Evan Bourne was a guy I had a lot of ideas for, but couldn't flesh them out. I'm going to try it now.

British Bulldog was a lot of fun to write. It won't be nearly as epic as the Kane feud, but hopefully will be worth reading/writing.

Chris Jericho is one of my all-time favorites, so it was a must that he be there.

Nunzio was one of my favorites in ECW, and every show needs a good heel jobber.

Christian and Justin Credible are both returning, but not as a team. Not quite sure what to do with either of them yet, actually :lmao:

Jamie Noble is another fun heel jobber, that's fairly easy to write.

Big Boss Man makes a return, only because I liked how I used him the first time around.

Scotty 2 Hotty...Mainly because you need a face that the monster heels can pound on for a few weeks...

Last but not least, DDP...Because he's fucking DDP.

I'll work a bit more on all this tonight, and get the ".wz" up at least, so my roster and mission statement of sorts is posted.

Any chance some of your Wrestlezone-based characters may return?

Definitely not the old cast of characters. Outside of Will, I don't really talk to them anymore. If I ever get back to posting a bit more regularly, some may be added, but for now...No. All jobs as far as managers, announcers, and commentary, will be filled by random people. Probably made-up people.

I liked how well written they were, especially the announcers. If I recall they were Will and...can't recall the other.

Will and 48/7.

Will was "The One" Big Will, a retired professional wrestler, based loosely off of Edge and Macho Man. 48/7 was Mr. 48.7. a former pundit/talking head who wouldn't shut up :lmao: CCS may have been the most fun to write, since the character was so outrageous, and the feud was what I was most proud of. Kane v Bulldog could never be redone.

It really started out of nowhere. I needed a midcard feud, and with Rey/Jericho as my title feud, I figured 2 big guys worked in the mid-card. It took a lot of preparation to make that PPV match work...

I reckon TNA from like 2009 could be fun, would be easy to improve upon from a BT standard. Proph; I dunno about Styles, the only thing that I don't like about your BT is the amount of guys you debut in a short space of time, hurts your current guys.

That is what I was thinking, he isn't coming anytime soon. Since I have had The Church (four guys), CM Punk, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy (return), Maxx Van Jules (MVP) and I think that is it. So that is eight guys that have come into the thread.

I haven't read your BT, but I definitely agree that too many debuts at once can hurt not only your original roster, but the new guys. Give the new guys a few "weeks" to at least go through a feud or two, and then debut the new guys. I debuted only 1 new wrestler before my first PPV, and although I didn't write past that, I had 4 more ready to debut. 2 in a tag team, and 2 singles guys, but their arrivals were still spread out.

I agree with what everyone is saying, nobody is coming into the thread anytime soon. To be honest I'm running out of energy to do the thread. I have heaps of ideas and direction for the future with it, but I just can't get to writing. I really do enjoy writing the thread, probably need a small break.

EDIT: Yes, welcome back NSL.

Welcome (back) NSL, when do you reckon you will get your roster and back story up? Is it a created fed?

I'll be posting the roster on a ".wz" in a bit. The backstory is still a work in progress, as are all the feuds, and the title pictures. I'm not even sure what titles I'll be using yet. I'll get all that figured out, and add it when I can.

Sounds like you've done too much, too soon. Best thing to do, is take a break. Jot down any ideas you may get, but don't put too much work into it. I had a crazy amount of files for NSCw, and it burnt me out quick...
