Book This! - General Discussion

Well if you put it like that, then that makes up for it I guess.

I also owe GCB a Rumble review, mate it's coming.
Yeah... it does because at least I tried.

My recent PPV had 8 matches and all 8 got a good amount of time on the show. I probably wouldnt attempt a rumble match I admit im not good with Battle Royal/Royal Rumbles. Also im pretty sure everybody does revisions and my BT is also my first one just saying.

Clearly you missed me saying your rumble was better then I could do with a Rumble Match though.
Hurray!

Guys chill out on WWEjames a bit. I know he's acting a bit immature but it's clear the guy likes to do this and is excited for his project. Of course his stuff right now won't be nearly as good as an established veteran because there's some growing pains to this stuff. I have not found one person in any of the forums I frequent that really started booking right away and was awesome at it. It takes time. Alienating him and taking petty shots at him isn't gonna help this section out. More action/more respect to this section = good for the section.

(I know that you've helped him some GCB so this wasn't necessarily directed at you, but more to the people who hopped on the trash/insult WWEjames after you did.)
+Rep

If this is about me I wasnt trying to be a asshole more so trying to help him out but it comes across as rude.
I know you are. I think his talking to people like #1Peep and GCB. I dunno.

It's not about anyone in particular, just somewhat of a general statement. I'm not trying to play white knight for WWEjames but it seems that once GCB said something (someone who's quite respected for his work in this section) the floodgates opened and WWEjames was a sitting duck.

WWEjames needs to become a bit more mature as well and realize that not everyone's gonna want to read your stuff after you post a show or two, and then asking for reviews bothers people even more. I know. I get it. But don't say something just to try to be a funny guy. Either help him out or just ignore him somewhat. Not that hard.

I'm not trying to come off as a dick, just some observations.

A Sitting duck? As for the last sentence that's what I'm saying. I am trying hard with this but no one seems to be helping me improve. I'm not saying give me countless reviews after every show but if there was some respect, that would help.

GCB your child will not be very happy when they see you picking on others such as Choxy. You should set a better example for the little one. I'll be reporting you to the Board of Studies so they can deal with your career as a teacher and how to end it after this incident.

Shame on you.

I appreciate the sentiment of what you're saying Megatron. Whilst I don't think it is a question of maturity with wwejames (Choxy as he is now called), I do think a line now needs to be drawn and it needs to end. Mind you, I think he needs to wise up to mistakes he has made. He seems to think he is a victim here and I'm not buying that. There were sarcastic comments directed towards him long before I 'opened the floodgates' on him. People are just annoyed by the way he has come into BT thinking that by writing a show, you deserve recognition. You don't. If it is good or if it improves, you'll get recognition. Nobody starts BT perfect but he seems to have issues with the one person that tried to help him out. In my mind, that's rather stupid. To use a WWE analogy, if you're a rookie wrestler who has just joined, you don't walk into the locker room and pick a fight with Jericho or Undertaker or Triple H do you? He didn't earn much respect in the first place, he lost more when he didn't listen to the advice he was being given and - without wanting to sound big-headed here - he lost the rest of it when he went after a respected member of BT. What, honestly, did he expect?

The fact he followed up our issues by posting a Royal Rumble so soon after mine was just a quirk of fate but played into things beautifully. :lmao:

If people are taking pops at him because of his issues with me, I ask them to stop. However, there are at least three people who were taking pops at him before that so they can do as they wish for me.

You are trying hard, I could see that before you decided to take a pop - and remember that it was you that called me out via PM. You're trying too hard, IMO. Countless posts in the Lounge saying you're on your fourth Rumble entrant, your sixth entrant, your twenty third entrant - it's annoying. Just get it wrote. The bold part above says everything. You don't have the right to just get advice on how to improve. If people want to read and want to feedback, they will. If they don't, you won't. Like I've said before, there was one person who did feedback to you and gave you advice and you had a go at him. That, and I'm not being disrespectful here, is stupid. :banghead:

As for respect, well, in life, you EARN respect. You've annoyed people in the Discussion thread and then you want them to read/review your show? You complain that you've had no advice and help from them but you want respect? It doesn't work like that. Respect is earned, not given. I was the ONLY ONE who gave you respect by advising you and you threw that back at me with your immature PM. You've lost my respect and - as a result - you've lost others' respect.

If I were you and I wanted to keep posting on here, if I wanted to get feedback and views and the respect you think you deserve, I would back off the argument now. Accept that you've cocked it up and get on with writing a better BT show instead. If you do that, you might get some people back onside. Definitely not me, though.

GCB your child will not be very happy when they see you picking on others such as Choxy. You should set a better example for the little one. I'll be reporting you to the Board of Studies so they can deal with your career as a teacher and how to end it after this incident.

Shame on you.

She agrees with her Daddy-O. 100%. Even she knows when somebody deserves it. She's six months old, today. Blimey, that went by quick!

As for my career, I guess it had to come to an end sometime. At least I've gone out in style ... ;)

Six months already? This year has moved really quickly.

Well guys, how about we give the dude another chance? Not everyone is perfect anyway. Plus, I'd like to think were a tight crew so let's just help each other out, yeah? C'mon guys! :D

I'll happily forget Choxy.

GCB, did you check out my feedback? Particularly my one big gripe?

Yes. There was a lack of time in the show (in hindsight, a match could have been dropped from the show) and I think this caused the 'lack of flow' in the matches. I don't think it was just a set of moves but I wanted to get them done so I reckon that this probably affected it. Maybe too much focus was on the Rumble match that I was a bit drained out when I came to write the others. I took longest over CM Punk vs. Christian - a match you liked.

Re: Wade Barrett. There is something brewing. I can understand how you think he looks weak. I deliberated over how to have Barrett win the match all along. I hope what I've done becomes clear later on.

Errr, no. He's had his chance with me.

Well anyway, how's everyone doing?

You guys been over at the other site, yeah? They got those interviews so I was wondering what you guys think if we had that here? I guess I could probably come up with the questions. But who to interview? It'll probably be GCB, but hey, anything can happen.

I assume I'm the Godfather.

Proph is a little too rash for a role like that.

You should have seen me on Wednesday during Origin 3. I'm sure that everyone in the street could hear me freaking out. When the score was 20-20 I was screaming at the television (and Cooper Cronk) for a field goal. Not to sure what the neighbours were thinking but I didn't care at all. Crazy shit but we won!

Look, GCB, I own you an apoligy. I'm sorry. I just didn't appricate the way you called me "a cock" as I didn't exactly insult you by calling you a name. When I said Greasy, I said that because it was your name. That was a mistake of mine. (I'm not really good with saying sorry.)

Yeah, OK. I didn't appreciate being blamed for other people disrespecting you. Calling me 'Greasy' was the tip of the iceberg.

Also Jam has gave me an idea to recap EVERY SINGLE SHOW I've ever made so you can read the recaps and catch up because of how fast I was posting...

If you're going to recap every single show you've done, a couple of things.

1) First, make it interesting for everyone to read. We won't wanna read "He beat him, then this happened". Maybe get a WWE Announcer to host a small side-show type thing.

2) Please, make sure it makes sense.

However, one thing I can't hesitate enough, PLEASE, make sure your match writing really improves. Your Royal Rumble was the first thing I was slightly impressed by. Not the whole PPV, just the Rumble itself. Please, make it more interesting.

Interviews? Could be intersting.

Thanks and I will try with my match writing it's just for me, that is the hardest thing to do... but I will try from now on. I promise...

Also, I'm glad you enjoyed my Royal Rumble Match. Took me hours.

The other site ... sucks. GCB's WWE is now exclusive to BT!

Interview could be interesting, you gonna run it Jammy De La Cruz?

Or we could let Whostine run it? I miss him. #bringbackwhostine

Match writing is difficult, I know that much. I mean, I had a problem with mine but gradually, it got better & my matches were more interesting.

What you need is a few of the following;

1) Detail
2) You need to know the names of things and REALLY expand. Don't make everything really short & DO NOT, as you did in the Rumble.. say "He does some of his flippy-do moves". It looks really bad.
3) Make it interesting, add some big moments and really like I've said, GET IN WITH THE DETAIL!

Match writing is one of my strengths, but sometimes it does get a bit boring writing a match, especially if it's a midcard one on one match. No Disqualification matches are lots of fun to write.

I love writing matches espically for high flyers im better with matches then I am promos thats why I do match heavy shows. Also NO DQ matches are just the best to write usually.

By "The other site" do you mean wrestlingforum that we were talking about last week.

Yep! Detail is key. I get it.

Just stop spamming in people's threads and try and write better shows - all there is to it.

One line promos don't really work.
