Blu Ray

The Rob

Telling me I'm invincible..
If you've forked out for a Blu Ray player, how many discs do you think you've got roughly (excluding PS3 games, which I know are technically Blu Ray discs)? And which are your favourites in terms of visual quality?

I'd say about 70 discs so far, and my favourites in terms of visual quality are The Dark Knight, Iron Man 2 and weirdly enough The Social Network.

Weirdly enough I find animated films to be the better Blu Rays, films like Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story 3 look absolutely stunning in HD.

If we estimate that I have 50 discs per shelf, I have 90. I'm going to have to actually count them now.

Alien's picture quality actually impressed me, and I'm not impressed by stuff like, erm, space travel.

I've only got about 5 or 6. I need to work on that.

On a side note, Blu Ray is also the name of a finisher I've been using in training with my buddy, who is getting me ready to return to the indies in my area.

I have my share of Blu Rays. The Cowboys isn't particularly impressive in the format, but it was cheaper than the DVD.

The Kings Speech is only £3 more on Blu Ray than it is on DVD. And people say that Blu Rays are unaffordable.
