Billy Gunn to WWE??

Occasional Pre-Show
Hey i was curious, i was just on the main page looking around, when i happened to see something about Tna on the brinks of letting kip james(Billy gun) contract expire. With this happening, if it does, do u think we will see the return of one of the greatest wrestlers ever to step foot in the ring, :ass: billy gun?? If so, is it just a matter of time, before hunter jumps back to raw, and x-pac signs a contract to go into WWE, and hopefully over to RAW, to have a REAL DX renuinon, subtract Chyna and Road dog, if not, it would be awsome for next year them try to bring the whold band back together at Wrestlemania 26. Just curious what everyone thinks??

Unless creative did something serious, none DX way, Billy Gunn would get signed and then be gone in 6 months. Problem is, I can't see Billy Gunn being rehired for the Voodoo Kin Mafia stint with Road Dogg, don't cross the boss!

Oh, please. The VKM segments weren't their ideas, and I'm sure would have no effect on them getting rehired. However, I don't see WWE resigning him just because they don't give a shit about their tag team division, and he was shit as a singles performer. But, who knows, anything can happen.

DX reunion? No, no & no. It's in the past. The one time special's are fine, but to bring back the entire stable in it's past form isn't going to happen; and quite rightly so. If the WWE are going PG, why would they re-form a group that are a complete juxtaposition from the meaning of PG? They wouldn't.

As far as Billy Gunn going to the WWE, it won't happen. He isn't valuable to either company now (WWE/TNA). In times of the credit crunch, they won't waste money on a wrestler who is past his best, and would add nothing new to the product. Their money is better served improving the contract of existing superstars who's contracts are expiring.

It is wishful thinking, I myself would love to see all the orignals but do you forget about that video that was floating out there of Billy Gunn & Road Dogg trashing Triple H? But anything is certainly possible in the WWE but if Hunter or anybody got wind of that video trashing hunter awhile back those were very harsh words said and I don't think I would easily forgive and forget that. However I could maybe see X-Pac coming back if he is sober and off drugs (if WWE paying for his rehab paid off) I could maybe see Shawn, Triple H and X-Pac feuding with Legacy.

Chyna last I saw her she was a mess and thinking of doing a follow up porn to "One Night in Chyna" this one called "Another Night in Chyna" so I think there is a fat chance you'll see her again in WWE but again anything is possible.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope TNA doesn't release him. Kip James is the only interesting thing Gunn has done since DX. But really WWE does not need him at all. He is old, uninteresting, and unless they go the gay route his personality sucks.

While he isn't vital to The Beautiful People, it's the most over he's been in a while and if he leaves TNA he might as well just retire. Really I don't see any point why they would bring him back. In his prime the most Gunn was, was a good tag champ and a mediocre intercontinental champion. Why would anything be different now, since he's over the hill and washed up? Seriously there is no point, he's not even that good of a jobber and would cost the WWE too much,

Every single things that Billy Gunn has done has been completely boring when it's not involved with the New Age Outlaws.

He's actually a decent wrestler and ok with promos but he just never gets over. And I don't know why but for some reason he always has a pseudo-gay style to pretty much all of his gimmicks, which I don't care for and I'm betting more wrestling fans feel the same. He is a great bit player but by himself would really not haven any impact. Even if he were to come in and win the IC title, or even the ECW title somehow...I don't think he would get over and I don't think fans would care. I think WWE realizes this and wouldn't be interested in him.

I doubt it. The guy can't wrestle well anymore and he was never able to get over with the fans on his own. The WWE is finally at the stage where they'll willing to release guys that people thought were lifers (Holly and Simmons for example.) So I doubt they'd waste cash hiring back Billy friggin' Gunn.

Vince would have no intrest in billy gunn, i mean how many gimmicks has this guy had? mabe its his belly ring or the fact every time he seems to get a little momentum he go's off and gets a shitty five dollar haircut

WWE is not going to hire back a washed up horrible mid-card wrestler who's been past his prime for 7 years now. he'll be working pure indies in no time. lets just hope he disappears from my telly tube completely too.

It seems to me that the only wrestlers WWE would consider hiring away from TNA are ones that would significantly hurt TNA to lose, such as Christian and Gail Kim. If Kurt Angle eventually returns to WWE, this reasoning would also apply.

I don't think that losing Mr. Ass would hurt TNA a bit. Therefore, I can't imagine why Vince would have him back.

thairs no way he will come back to wwe i would want him to but i doubt vince is goin to do it.the only way he could come back is with bg james and the to of them feuded with hhh and hbk but what people forget is that he is 8 or 9 time tag champion(im just guessin) he has won the ic title, europen title, hardcore title and he is the 1999 king of the ring so he has got the track record but what wwe seem to do with him is build him up then forget about him or make him look stupid for example when he hat to kiss that fat womens ass in that match with the rock and after that wwe did nothin with him so it would be nice but it will never happen sorry

Are you actually serious? We're talking about the guy who couldn't even get over working with the Rock after winning KOTR, who became more famous for his pseudo-homosexual tag team reigns and for being verbal decimated by the Rock than for actually winning a major tournament, who got by by being the part of DX where his tag partner was the personality.

BIlly Gunn is 45, well past his 'best' and is currently called 'Cute Kip'... he's now the equivalent of Rico to a much less reknowned woman's tag team. Christian, Gail Kim, Angle... you can see why they'd want these guys back, but a bad-mouthing ex-employee who took veiled shots at the guys who paid his wages from the safety of a flopped excursion in TNA ain't the kind of guy who deserves a second run

There is a reason why Edge stated "I promise not to Billy Gunn this award after he won the KOTR." One his own, Billy Gunn is nothing but a failure. Now that he is in his mid-40s, there is less of a chance for any of his gimmicks to work. Billy Gunn is done. His career has finally blown up just like his failed singles career.

I liked Billy Gunn in the WWE but there is no way in hell he is coming back to the WWE. I don't want to see the old DX get back together cos no doubt that would be another reason for Trips to get another Title reign. Gunn was good in his day but he was never brilliant nor will he ever be so I think it's a profound NO on this one

i hope billy gunn comes back. With the megastar on raw or smackdown could really bring the midcard to the next level

Are Billy Gunns parents writing in this thread? There have been at least two people so far who have claimed him to be one of the best wrestlers ever. I hope they're kidding and it's not coming through online.

Some people say the most stupid things on here. Seems the majority of people agree that it makes no sense for WWE to sign him and that he wouldn't bring anything to the table at this point.

Allow me to clear this up, proof straight from the horse's mouth that Billy Gunn will never work for WWE. This interview explains how much Gunn hates Triple H's guts for how he treated him in WWE.

It begins at 5:00

No way he would work for a man he thinks is a "NO GOOD MOTHER F*****"

i would love to see billygun back in wwe I doubtit i loved the ass man ne o the gratest wrestlers of ll time, well mid card anyways

WWE all ready has an arrogant, pompous, bleach blonde body in Dolph Ziggler . . . why bring back Billy Gunn?

Oooooo maybe they will rehire him AAAAND hire Chuck Palumbo for a 3rd time to bring back the best tag-team of this decade "Billy and Chuck"...

...I just realized its Saint Patty's Day and not April Fools so please ignore this post.

Let me clear up this discussion....No way in hell will you ever see Monty Sopp in a WWE ring again and if TNA let him go personally it's a shame. People can say what they want about him as a performer but the dude has been employed constantly (apart from a 3 month gap from WWE to TNA) by one of the top 2 wrestling company's in his home country for the past decade and a half. Name another mid carder that has achieved that. Actually no wait I can Steven Regal but none the less few achieve that and I think thats worth commending. Like I said I hope he stays in TNA but I wouldnt be surprised if he was gone. I would hope he turns up in ROH but that won't happen. He's like approaching his late 40's now I think

I see nothing for Billy Gunn outside of the independent circuit. He's a career midcarder in the twilight of his career, so what really does he have to offer a major promotion? He might offer a one night nostalgic reaction on ECW or something, but after that one night, he has nothing to offer that much younger ECW midcarders who will work for less money can offer.

Umm I hear a noise out there and what's that I see a fat lady singin. Dang!!! Thas what I think bout billy gunn's career in wwe and tna.

Dude too old to do anywhing noteworthy anymore and won't be a factor even if wwe did hire him. So why would they!
They are already concentrating on bringin up young talent and billy would just take time away from their development. God know why they brought back goldust!!!

Agree???

theres no chance in a million years he will be signed back, the only chance would be as a road agent as his wrestling days at the top are over
