Bill Goldberg and All Wheels Wrestling Rumor Floating Around

JenksIX

Pre-Show Stalwart
Alright, so I was looking at the thread "Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt return to TNA" by Dizzy. The entire post was about All Wheels Wrestling, which I thought had nothing to do with TNA, but taped at Universal Studios. Turns out that Jeff Jarrett and Hermie Sadler (both TNA employees) run this joint and apparently it is some sort of hybrid motocross show spin-off.

So this peaked my interest and I wanted to find out more about this "All Wheels Wrestling." Aside from Jarrett and Sadler, I didn't find anything relating to any other TNA brass such as Bishcoff or Hogan, though people seem to think this idea is one of Bischoff's.

Anyway, something I found interesting was this article which should be taken with a grain of salt.

All Wheels Wrestling -

A new promotion, All Wheels Wrestling, which would combine motorcross racing and professional wrestling, It appears that All Wheels Wrestling is trying a '"full court press"' to sign Bill Goldberg & Tom Meents. Both Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have apparently been in Goldberg's ear for the last few months trying to get the most dominant wrestler of the late 90's to return to the "All Wheels Wrestling , squared circle".

Last weekend, Goldberg and Eric Bischoff were seen together in NY most likely talking over the possibility of Goldberg coming to All Wheels Wrestling. A video of the two was posted by Goldberg as they took a helicopter tour of NYC. It would be interesting to see what the financial terms would be for Goldberg to come to All Wheels Wrestling.

Now Bischoff and Goldberg did meet last week, so you have to wonder what they were discussing. In my opinion, I don't see why TNA would want to sign Goldberg for this "low budget, crazy idea show" that I think will be broadcast on SPEED here in the US, instead of putting him on their flagship show, Impact.

What I do know is that Goldberg is a huge fan of auto-motives and if you remember, there was even a Bill Goldberg monster truck(I believe the guy Tom Meentz mentioned was the driver of the truck.). Right now, Goldberg is a color commentator for the MMA show Shark Fights which is broadcast on Fuel TV(Automotive and Driving focused channel.)

I wonder if TNA, or the creators of All Wheels Wrestling, have reached out to Goldberg and asked him to be a commentator for the show? Someone with sufficient knowledge of motocross and wrestling, you has experience as a broadcaster. Bill Goldberg seems to fit the bill.

Aside from Shark Fights, he also interviewed/commentated for EliteXC(a now defunct MMA company.)

Anyway, this is all just me speculating. Your thoughts and have you read anything similar?

That would be pretty damn cool to see him there. I'd prefer him in AWW than TNA, really.

This does sound like a really good fit for Goldberg. I still do not fully understand what AWW is but I am starting to see some interesting potential there. Combining X-division and X-games might actually make a certain amount of sense. I could see it being a good way to lead a possible audience towards Impact that might not think twice about it otherwise. It could also make a good traveling promotion.
