Anyone else wish he would've choked on his damn whistle?

I'm watching Cyberslam '99, and the match would be great if it wasn't for that damn whistle going off every 5 seconds.

Annoying in ECW where people would cheer. But it'd be great if he was ringside for Mike Knox match.

I thought the guy ruled, personally. No one got heat like he did during his heel "Ref" run, and his match against Beulah was beyond awesome. Plus, when Alfonso turned face, RVD'd matches became so good that no one would focus on the whistle blowing. You just so happen to be watching a very bad match, as RVD's match against Scorpio that night, for whatever reason, was terrible.

I like Alfonso. His character is great, and he was a part of a lot of big ECW moments, but that whistle is annoying.

This match was subpar for almost everything that EVD or Scorpio did, but it picked up towards the end, after the Sabu run-in.

The whistle pissed me off too. The whole 'manager of champions' gimmick and the heel ref thing were all great. That doesn't justify drawing attention to yourself during matches when you're primary task, more often than not, is to run to the back and grab band aids and duck tape

i adore Bill Alfonso- even with his snaggle-teeth and whistle. His whistle was the equivalent of Jimmy Hart's megaphone. Loved it.

Whistle = instant heat. Plus, you have Bill Alfonso, who could quite possibly be the ugliest man alive, jumping around like a maniac. It's "obnoxious heel" gold.

I loved him as a manager, and as a ref. I know that hating the whistle means that it works, which is why I wanted him to choke on it
