Big Show a good champ?

No kidding. I can't believe how I have read on the internet that people are pleased with Big Show getting the title. They think it is a smart move by Vince as a means of getting heat. Who cares about heat? There are a lot of ways to get cheap heat and giving the title to an uncredible champion and pissing on the legacy of ECW, is not a wise decision, either way.

Speaking of bad moves with ECW, I also totally disagree with the Paul Heyman heel turn at this stage in the game. I think it was a bad move at this stage, but it should be interesting to see how it plays out. Maybe he will acknowledge the many changes in ECW now that he's a heel? I don't know, but I think they should have waited a month or two before they turned Heyman heel.

You guys are going about this the wrong way!I find him a good champion. He deserves it.HE has jobbed to many superstars such as john cena.He deserves it.If you think about it if theres a Show/Dreamer feud for the title and show retains and badly injures Dreamer this would even hype more a show/RVD feud with RVD wanting revenge on Heyman and Show for injuring Dreamer and Screwing him for the title.Sabu/Show is also good.Think outside the box.

^^ I never said Big Show didn't deserve a title. Anybody who has been loyal and lasted in the WWE for over 5 years certainly deserves a title. Whether it be the WWE title or the WHC, that's fine (Because I would expect that from Vince and the WWE). Where my problem arises, is that Big Show holds the "ECW" title. I don't care how much heat this draws. There are plenty ways to get cheap heat, rather than giving the title to somebody who doesn't deserve it. He hasn't done anything in ECW. Hell, he hasn't even done anything in the WWE - but that's a different story. Bottom line: Big Show stinks and by giving him the ECW title, Vince has spat in the face of Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Picture this... Dreamer finally beats Big Show for the Title when the lights go out and come back on and Dreamer is hit with an Even Flo DDT!!!

^ I wanna see you make a good post.

Now, I don't know what to think. At first I didn't think Big Show deserved to be in ECW. Then after seeing the promo tonight on RAW, I was a little convinced. Call me a mark, but I actually may have been persauded by Heyman and Shows' antics. I knew Big Show could wrestle, but I was upset that they were booking him to wrestle the way he was - then they had the nerve to give him the title. But as long as they are showcasing his "monstrous" talents, he may be a good champion for ECW. I'm talking about when Big Show gave Flair that choke hold into a back breaker manuever. I started thinking: maybe they'll really develop Big Show into a worthy character and expand his move-set. Maybe Big Show can become a good heel. God knows we'll never see the old ECW, so I'm gradually accepting and becoming optimistic about this new project and the new superstars involved. (I know I made some posts and said the new ECW sucks. I am not denying that. It does suck. But I am trying to keep a more positive view and look on the bright side. And this Big Show/Ric Flair angle got me interested, as well.) So I'm looking forward to this match. I still think it is kind of ridiculous they have 2 WWE stars in the title hunt for the ECW title, but I guess I'll take what they give us (as long as it's good).

Aggressor- i was just about to make a longwinded complaint about some of your earlier comments (I've been lurking on the boards for a week or two and was getting tired of everyone's constant complaining and yours just stood out...sorry) but after reading your above post it's good to see that peoples opinions can be changed. I have not always been a fan of the Big Show (I used to blood hate him) but over the past couple of years he has really shown he is what the business is all about..how long was Smackdown basically built on him when Lesnar and Angle couldn't do anything and he carried it...he's been made to look rediculous in so many stories that others wouldn't stand for and still came to the ring and gave it his all and it annoyed me when people were saying he didnt deserve the title because he wasn't ECW! didnt a couple of guys just win the title out of no where Masato springs to mind and Rhyno (whilst ECW was not main event until he won the title). This second Big Show is the best thing for the company until RVD returns.

anyway I know it did kind of turn into a rant there and I'm sorry but I'm glad you've started having an open mind about the show.

I don't like Big Show as ECW Champ but i guess he was the only Heel that could of taken the title from RVD.

Does anyone agree that Big Show is gonna lose the title today? I think so cause I believe that Ric Flair told the WWE that he was retiring and he wanted one more title before he left. They did not want him to get the WWE or Heavyweight title so they are gonna give him, in thier opinon the worse, third-rate title in the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Then he will lose the title in a month or two and you will never hear from him again, or at least wresting wise we won't hear from him.

I think Show will loose it to Sabu at SNME or to Dreamer at SS. Show doesnt deserve the title. If Dreamer had it, then we could give ECW some credibility. But if Show had it, we would know that ECW is just a show to give a third rate title to young stars and superstars past their prime (just sayin Show, not Angle. Angle is still in his prime.).

My question is this: Why didn't they just have Sabu or Dreamer defeat RVD for the title instead? I honestly don't think Vinnie Mac knows what he's doing. WWECW is obviously more interested in courting WWE fans than ECW fans, and in Vinnie's eyes, Dreamer and Sabu aren't over enough with the crowd he's concerned with. That's why I think Big Slow retains the title until RVD returns or some other "defector" takes it from him.

Sabu wasn't going to be rewarded with the ECW title the week of the incident. That would have been 2 weird. Sabu will get it but maybe on SNME or a little later. RVD vs Sabu when he comes back.

Sabu definently deserves the ECW title. Tht would be tight if Sabu and RVD had a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the ECW title that would be a Classic.

Its gonna happen eventually. I personally don't mind Show being champ anymore as much as I hare him. Just use him correctly. Undertaker comming to ECW I do have a problem with. If they are building Show then Show is going to defeat the Undertaker. RVD comes back he might not get the title right away.
WWECW is not what were used to from ECW but I think that Vince will build it to work. At the same time, who's jobbing this week?
