Big Daddy V to SmackDown!

Drafts between SmackDown and ECW hardly seem relevant at the moment, but with ECW supposedly leaving SmackDown and going to RAW this leaves SmackDown all on it's own, so I can see Big Daddy V taking the position Umaga had on Raw for the past few months, he'll be pushed as an unstoppable monster but he'll always put over the upcoming stars, or the guys already at the top. Basically he'll be a jobber to the stars.

A decent trade to keep him on smackdown, but in the grand scheme of things completley pointless as he was already on smackdown every week anyway till he had to go out to loose weight. so for his career path and for the show nothing will really change

Another move that isn't really surprising. Big Daddy V is basically being sent over to SmackDown to replace Mark Henry. Again a kind of pointless trade, seeing as how they'll be on both shows anyway. I can see Big Daddy V feuding with Umaga at some point, but that's about it.

Good. At least he is still there. BDV is EASILY the best SHW in the WWE, behind Umaga. People can talk whatever shit they want, and thats fine, but its true. The guy can move and bump extremely welll for someone that size. And I enjoy the new character. Hopefully this guy gets somewhat used on SD! although I cant see were they will fit him in, with all the new talent, Namely Hardy and Umaga. But still glad to see him still around, and hopefully he is able to be utilized.

Is it just me or are there already to many monsters on Smackdown already. You've got The Great Kahli and Umaga. They get rid of Mark Henry but then get Big Daddy V. Thats three damn monsters on one show. Talk about overkill. Maybe it won't be that bad though. Big Daddy V is probably as NorCal said one of the best SHW in WWE right now. Its not a bad move. Just one leaving me shaking my head kinda.

Great Move! Seriously, I have no clue why but similar to my unknown desire to watch Chuck Palumbo.. I have an urge to wanna see Big Daddy V against the Undertaker, and this move proves that it'll end up happening soon.

I have no clue if it'll be anything more than a one month feud, but I could greatly see Umaga and Big Daddy V quickly become a force to be dealt with on Smackdown.

I agree with NorCal, B.D.V. is easily one of the very best Super Heavyweights in the W.W.E. behind Umaga.. and pairing them together would be a great idea to me. Plus, this adds one more monster on the Smackdown brand for Undertaker to come slay.

A good move. It needed to happen as Big Daddy V was on Smackdown more than ECW in the first place. However, with Umaga and The Great Khali on Smackdown, there is a chance BDV might get forgotten about. Hopefully he returns soon and when he returns I pray to god he wears a shirt to the ring.

BDV could have matches with Undertaker, Triple H, Jeff Hardy and many more. I can't see him winning a title on Smackdown though.

He best be wearing a shirt when he returns. No more man tits!!!

That being said, I just really don't see much of a future left for him. WWE tried repackaging him into a beast, but all he basically ended up doing (for the most part) is feuding with Boogeyman. He got ONE title shot, and has been doing squat since then, up until he was taken off the road to lose weight.

As well, with YOUMANGA now on SmackDown!, the "monster" position has been passed to him. There's really not enough room for two monsters on one brand, unless they're going head to head with each other....and I don't reallly see either of them turning face, unless V brings back Mabel.....or even the Barry White-singing Vis.

Smackdown doens't have the room for another SHW. There is no way BDV can fit (Umm.... pun intended? Lol.) on the SD! roster because they don't have the need or want for another SHW. Sure, I appreciate the skills BDV actually has, and he is actually pretty brilliant in the ring for a man his size.

I think that his position will definately become that of a glorified jobber though. It will mainly be because the lack of need for what BDV brings to the table. (Although he brings alot to the table. Pun intended... again.)

I don't think things will go too well for BDV but we will see soon enough.

i think that he got only got traded to smackdown because vince tried to trade him to tna, but then realized he didnt own that. to say that bdv is skilled for a man his size is true, but to praise him for that is silly. saying hes agile for his size is like saying zach gowen is the greatest one legged wrestler ever. true but they still both suck

Undertaker killed Big Daddy V in February. He no longer serves a purpose. HHH easily pinned him at Survivor Series. So I don't know why they're keeping him, let alone moving him. WWE did a good job of building him up. But that was undone when he had his mini main event push earlier this year. With his health problems there's no point starting over again.

Maybe Big Daddy V should be the guy to learn some stuff from Vader. I mean he is better wrestler then Mark Henry and is super fat like Vader is and moves around the ring for a guy his size good and better then what Henry be doing and he can put on some good promos too. So maybe Big Daddy V should ask for Vader's advice also.

Tick tock. Tick tock. It’s been 5 months now since Big Daddy V was on TV last. I’d think that’s enough time to have resolved his health issues or gotten them under control at least. Initially, I thought the draft might be a good way to get him back on TV after such an absence, but it’s been a month since the draft and still no BDV. Realistically, I just don’t see him coming back.

One, they separated him from his mouthpiece as Striker was drafted to Raw. Two, Smackdown’s pretty stacked with younger talent that can’t get TV time as it is now and BDV is not a young man. Three, SD! has the ‘monster’ thing covered with Khali, Big Show, and Umaga. Four behemoths is overkill. BDV will get lost in the shuffle.

If BDV does eek a return, Raw would be the better option. Raw needs another monster as they really only have Kane (Snitsky just isn’t believable anymore) plus he can be paired again with Striker (who isn’t doing anything at the moment either).

I have to admit that i actually enjoyed Big Daddy V, not his appearance, but his gimmick.

However I dont think he will be able to go back to main event status. I would personally like to see him feuding in the midcard scene, maybe even winning the US Title. All the other monsters on SD are in the Main Event so give BDV something different to do.

That is if he ever returns?

just as a thought do any of you guys see BDV tagging up with one of the other shw? ie a team of BDV and Khali. i know that this would not be the most pleasent of teams to look at but it would dominate the tag division and might bring out some "dream team" cobos to challenge them.

i think that he got only got traded to smackdown because vince tried to trade him to tna, but then realized he didnt own that. to say that bdv is skilled for a man his size is true, but to praise him for that is silly. saying hes agile for his size is like saying zach gowen is the greatest one legged wrestler ever. true but they still both suck

UUUURRRHHHUAAAAAHH???

Vince tried to trade him to TNA? He didn't own that? Big V is VERY skilled for his size. To be quite honest, if The Great Kahli has had numerous title shots and a title run, BDV deserves maybe a transitional shot at the top belt. I do understand that Kahli is way over in India, but i believe that if they built Big V the way they did OOHH-Manga then it could work. Besides, BDV has paid his dues in the wrestling business, more so to the WWE. If all possible... let him team with Mark Henry. We could call them the Rocko-Chocos. But back to the point i do believe that BDV can be used very well on smackdown but it would be a challenge with three big monster men on one brand.
