Meh, Goldberg was off filming a huge movie with Santa's Slay, money money, yeah yeah. Hell Goldberg was gone filming a shit movie to the build up of the biggest pay per view of all time, shows how much the E really gave a shit about him. The Heyman feud with Benoit was there with the whole Rumble situation. So instead of sticking it to heyman by going all the way in the rumble...he jumps ship to Raw, huh?

I'll admit, the Survivor Series showdown was interesting, but Goldberg was also pretty hot at that point. Hell even at the Rumble he was still hot, then Goldberg gets taken off of TV for 8 weeks. All of that momentum, and the WWE simply shit it away.

I was so happy with the Lesnar vs. Benoit match on Smackdown. That Brock Lock to win the match was sick as hell. He bent Benoit nearly in half.

I stopped caring about Lesnar Goldberg when Austin got involved to be honest. Now I will admit, I love the match, because it was a pure disaster, but I still think I'm bitter on Lesnar leaving because he wanted to be a "real" athlete.

The Main Events of the past five WrestleManias have been among the weakest matches on the card. The undercard is usually the best part of any WrestleMania. But out of these, I have to give the nod to Edge vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIV. The match that changed my view of Edge. It's the best out of the choices I've been given, but certainly not match of the year...

also considering the fact that the companies biggest future star winning his first world title in a mid card match was pure crap. WM 21 should have been Cena's night.

Thank you I have felt this way for years and noone ever agrees with me.
You are awesome...regardless of what tonights match between batista and cena result was Cena is the better of the 2 and always will be.

I voted for the Triple Treat match, because of the 5 matches, it was by far the best IMO.

The Batista/Triple H match was boring, which was a shame because the feud and story behind it was one of the best build-ups to a match that WWE has done in this decade IMO. Batista and Triple H went on to have some solid matches afterwards, but their first match at Wrestlemania was boring and IMO one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history.

The Cena/Triple H main event was fun to watch but not a great, classic match. The crowd was more entertaining than the wrestlers in the match. It was decent, but not amongst the best matches of either careers.

Cena/HBK was a pretty good matchup, but not the best of the five.

Edge/Undertaker was a phenomenal match, but it didn't have near the emotion that the Triple Threat matchup had. Plus Taker and Edge have went on to have better matches, such as last night's Hell in a Cell and the TLC Match from One Night Stand.

The Triple Threat matchup isn't as significant and as much of a "feel good moment" now, obviously due to what happened last year, but if you can take all of that aside and remember how it felt back in 2004 to see Benoit after 20 years of wrestling finally winning and getting a meaningful/official World Title reign, it was one of the best moments for me ever in wrestling, and I'm sure for many other wrestling fans at the time. With Eddie coming out at the end that made it all the more better. And the match itself was one of the most exciting matches I've ever seen. It was action packed throughout the majority of the match. Triple H was practically invincible at that time, and it wasn't for sure if he was really going to take the fall for Benoit or not. When he got put in the Crossface, it was such a suspenseful, exciting finish.

I would not only rank the Triple Threat matchup as the best Wrestlemania Main event of the last 5 years, I would rank it as one of the best Wrestlemania main events ever.

Of course there is the debate about whether it would've been a better match had it not been a Triple Threat match but a one-on-one matchup, but then you're dealing with "what if's." With subjects like this, it's best to deal with fact and history and what actually happened. "What Ifs" don't pertain to what actually happened and the result of what happened (aka: whether the result was great or not). And the Triple Treat matchup was one of the most exciting, action packed, and emotional wrestling matches I've seen.

Like many others, this is a two-horse race for me.

I think the Edge/Undertaker match was great and was very anticipated after a year-long build-up where Edge kept screwing him out of the title. There definitely wasn't enough direct build though in the month preceding it, but this was the first in a string of great matches in what I believe is feud of the year for 2008. Now the TLC and HIAC matches were better, but this was an excellent singles match between the two. With Undertaker on his way out and the streak part of his legacy, I never expect him to lose at WM, but I was honestly thinking Edge might just be the one to do it. He wasn't obviously, but still this match was great.

Now the WM20 triple threat was a different story. There was tons of build to this match and after Eddie beat Lesnar at NWO and then defended the WWE title at WM, you just had to know that Benoit was gonna finally win the big one. 20 years in the business and one of the most hard-working guys there was, he deserved it maybe more than anyone. This match had 3 guys who performed magnificently on the big stage in what many thought be a disaster because it was the first WM main event to be a triple threat.
The match was great, but my favorite moment at that event and one my favs ever, was when Eddie came out and the two world champs embraced. Friends for so long that finally got to win the big one and around the same time. Sadly and ironically, both would leave us just a few years later, but that was still one of the most touching moments in WWE history in my book.

My vote went to the Triple Threat from WM 20. I thought that this match was phenominal. It had so much emotion in it and then throw the title into it and you have one hell of a fight. Obviously, Edge vs Undertaker comes in a very close second. The triple threat was just amazing. It showed a lot of fight in all participants. The best shot of this match was when HHH tapped out to Benoit crossface. I know everyone was thinking, "Will he tap?!?! He's gonna tap!! HE'S TAPPING!!!" Great match.

As much as I'm a fan of Edge and Taker, I gave the Triple Threat the nod.

The match had everything coming together: a good build, great wrestling, and a tremendous atmosphere. Finally, Benoit got the respect that was due to him by giving him the World Title at the biggest event of the year. But the match had you on edge the entire time, questioning whether or not he was gonna get it. I had never seen Trips tap before that point ( I don't know if he officially did beforehand) so I was like oh shit, is this going to happen? The aftermath with Eddie just made everything that much better.

The WM 23 match was shit, which Shawn had to carry the entire time, and the crowd booing Cena out of the building just made it that much more of a joke.

I never saw the 21 or 22 main events, and quite frankly, I don't care to.
