Summer Slam 02 is WWE's best P.P.V. in the last 5 year's. There's the classic opener between Mysterio and Angle. A great match between Benoit and R.V.D. A classic brawl between HHH and H.B.K. and a memorable title win by Lesnar.

Without a doubt, SummerSlam 2000. Great triple threat match for the WWE title. Crazy bump by Shane McMahon, and of course TLC! Also a great match between Benoit and Jericho!

Has to be SummerSlam 2002, just b/c of the build-up to the main event. It is the best main event build-up wwe has done since Rock/Austin. Not to mention it's the match that solified Lesnar as a Main-Eventer, they cheered him over the Rock.

Plus, it gave us the start of the TripleH/HBK Feud with a Non-Sanctioned Street Fight match. That match was off the chart, it showed that Shawn Michaels was still the Icon, the showstopper and the main event. Great Match!!

Also the PPV started off with Angle vs. Rey Mysterio....are you kidding me! Going in I thought this would be later in the card. But it definitely was a great way to kick off their second biggest ppv of the year. Now that I think about it SummerSlam 2002 was much better than WrestleMania X8.

RVD vs. Beniot, foreshadowed that both would one day be great world champions.

UnderTaker got a good match out of Test...yes I said Test!

Flair and Y2J's match was old school at it's finest.

while the other two matches were solid as well.

SummerSlam 2002 was clearly the best of last decade. SummerSlam '98 is a close second.

Yeah, you pretty much said it all for me.

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels is one of my favourites. It truly was one of the most inspiring matches that I have ever seen. It porved that hbk was still the man and foru and a half years later, he is still doing it so well.

Rey vs Kurt was great. It was rey's wwe ppv debut and even from the earliest time he proved that he could mix it with the main eventers

The benoit vs rvd ic title match was also really memorable, it was such a great contest

To be honest, most of the WWF ones are the best, as thats when WWF was at its peak. I did like '02 as well for the same reasons, yet the elimination chambers in both were quite good.

2002 probably wins it for me purely for the HBK return match, that was off the hook.

2003 is a close second though, only second because the Elimination Chamber match was pretty weak.

My favorite Summerslam for some reason has always been Summerslam 98. I just remember renting that from the video store all the time when I was like 15 and watching it over and over again. Classic WWF PPV, great opening matches, Shamrock and Owen in the Lions Den, a great Tag Team championship match, and one of my all time favorite main events, The Undertaker vs. Stone Cold in a hellacious match.

I guess its the nostalgia factor that really elevates it up there for me.

I'm also a huge fan of Summerslam 1999, and 2000. I just love any PPV from the year 1999, and the TLC match alone is worth buying SS 2000.

I'm gonna have to go with 2006. The card was packed with excellent matches! Although 1997 was the best year for me as a WWE fan, only the main event from that year is what I really remember.
