Best Entrance Theme: Christian

So this will hopefully become a set of threads akin to It's Damn Real's Success, Bust Or In-Between threads.

Entrance themes, they give a wrestler an identity in a way they help garner a reaction before the actual match. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't.

What I'd like to do is try and find a wrestler's theme that suited them best, whether that be because of their gimmick personality or what and I'd like to know your opinion also.

So the wrestler of this particular thread is Captain Charisma himself Christian

Christian is one wrestler who has had several themes over the years and I'd like to find out which one is the definitive one for him

Christian's best used theme is "Just Close Your Eyes" by Wateproof Blonde which he used from 2004 till 2005 before going to TNA.

Also Christian is a great Wrestler. Its really bad that he got only 2 World Title reigns which were really forgettable. WWE should atleast give him one or two more long World Titles reigns to Christian.

I had commented on this in another thread that I liked Christian coming out to Just Close Your Eyes by Waterproof Blonde. It was very different and set him apart I thought. I liked the idea of a male wrestler coming out to vocals sang by a female. It was unique. This new version of the song seems like a cheap ripoff to me. Not sure why they stopped using the original, I am guessing just to give him something new when he came back, but the Waterproof Blonde version of the song will always be my favorite Christian entrance theme.

The theme by Waterproof Blonde was pretty awesome. The new one he has with the male vocalist isn't as good. I actually thought it was Christian singing it for a while


My favorite though would be Blood. The Brood was simply awesome and that theme is on my ipod to this day and I can't say the same about any of his other themes.

I did also like his TNA theme. I only watched TNA for a short period of time but I remember when he debuted and I totally digged that track for a long while.

Haha, I actually have 4 of these themes on my iPod, The Brood, "At Last" the Waterproof Blonde version of "Just Close Your Eyes" and his TNA theme.

I like them all to be honest but I would have to go for his TNA theme, which is a blatant rip off of "My Last Breath" by Evanescence, which is a great song anyway. On WWE12, I have uploaded the TNA theme, so that Christian comes out to that, rather than his current WWE theme. I can't stand the later version of "Just Close Your Eyes".

Anyways for me its a toss up between the Waterproof Blonde song and his TNA theme. Both have an epic feel to them and both go well with him either being face/heel (which he had done with both themes)

Its a tough one but I'm going with the Waterproof Blonde version. I heard it first and and the female vocals just add more to it (although My Last Breath the song Take Over is based on is very good)

i have the two Just close your eyes songs and his Take over theme song in my mobile.. While all of them are awesome undoubtedly, my favourite would be his TNA theme. It had that electricity, that charisma, and blended just too well with his Instant Classic persona.

For me it is definitely Take Over from when he was in TNA.

I love Christian and think that he is one of the most underutilized talents in the last 15 years (of course I also know that there is a decent amount of proof that he does not draw a ton). I think his current entrance, his At Last entrance and the Waterproof Blonde entrance are all epic as well ... but ...

When he was in TNA he truly emerged as a top tier complete wrestling superstar and his entrance helped. The countdown was perfect, the build into the music was perfect and him coming out in his TNA ring gear was perfect. This one is a no-brainer to me.

The Waterproof Blonde is the best version. the intro is just epic, but the Story of the Year version isn't bad either.

By far the best is the Waterproof Blonde one because it fit with his character so well, and unlike the current version it fit him regardless of face/heel status. That's why I like the original versiom better than the Story of the Year version currently used as his entrance theme. Christian's current theme fit him quite well when he returned on ECW as well as his run on the main roster before turning heel last year. The Waterproof Blonde version fits a heel better but could work for both, while the Story of the Year version is more suited for a face and does not sound like a heel theme at all. I also liked his TNA theme and At Last for the intro it has, but the best are the two versions of Just Close Your Eyes and the original was the superior of the two. Christian should go back to using that as his entrance theme again.

I like his new theme better and i also agree with his disapointing 2 title reigns idk why christian still works for mcmahon who clearly has no respect for him. And it probably makes me more mad than others considering Edge is my fav superstar of all time and i still hate orton till today for being a john cena v2 and ruining his moment i know its his job but i cant stand it #OneMoreMatch

Christian has consistently had great theme music.

If this was based off of what theme would I rather listen to while driving around town looking for loose women, I'd easily choose the Waterproof Blonde one.

When it comes right down to what one do I prefer for entrance music for Christian, I'd strongly support his TNA theme.

I also have to give honorable mention to his "At Last" theme as that was spot on for him for the time and suited him and his story perfectly.
