Best Concert You've Been To

Simple enough thread. What's the best concert you've ever been to and why?

Me, it's Parkway Drive and We Came As Romans. They were at the HOB in Chicago back in October with a couple of other bands. Two openers were alright, but once WCAR hit the stage that place went nuts, and somehow the energy bumped way the fuck up once Parkway Drive came out and killed it with Crushed. I'm used to going to country shows or regular alternative shows with my wife, so this was an insane step up from that. PD puts on a hell of a show, I don't think I've ever had that much fun at a concert before. Oh and might I add, Seth fucking Rollins was at the show too and came down into the crowd during Dark Days and rocked out with us peasants. It was glorious.

So yeah, what's yours?

my fortieth birthday this past september i turned 40, i did so in the mosh pit at the slayer concert at the sound academy in toronto with my best freind from england visiting...

I've been to a few concerts in my life. Usher, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks. As you can imagine, living in Vegas gives one a plethora of opportunities to see the rich and famous do stuff they're rich and famous for.

The best concert that I have ever been too, though, was Prince in 2012 at the Hard Rock Cafe. You want to talk about an experience? Everyone in the audience, from young to old knew all the lyrics to his songs. He played other ppls songs as well. I can't stress on you enough how much of a musician the man was and how much I got my monies worth out of that concert. Usually, most concerts I've been to just make it to the two hour mark. Prince went almost four, asking the audience what they wanted to hear next, playing music that wasn't his, doing encores, just letting the audience sing, etc. It was wonderful and I'll never forget it.

For me, it was Rob Zombie at Mayhem Fest. He had robots, fire, fireworks, people on stilts and we got to watch Johnny 5 smash one of his guitars! It was outdoors, dark and the temperature was nice. It made the effect of the whole show even better. Zombie's singing was hit or miss but damn, he got massive coward reaction. I remember the whole arena screaming "Mars needs women, angry red women" which was fun. It wins due to everything I mentioned taking place. It was one of a kind and hasn't been topped yet.

Kid Cudi. ACC. 2013.

Basically because I was acid tripping and the concert environment was perfect for that kind of high. A light show accompanied the songs, blunts were being passed around freely, and everybody was rocking. It would take a lot for a concert experience to beat that one in my eyes.
