Stupid. Kung-Fu Panda isn't great yet it's up for an award, Wall-E is better than a couple of the Best Picture films.

Likewise for Foreign Language Film.

That's the annoyingness of the academy. They pick the movies they like, not always the best ones. Wall-E was always going to win the animated movie award, and there was no way TDK was getting a best picture nod.
