Benjamin and the world title....

Why on earth would creative ever put a main event title on Shelton Benjamin? He has no mic skills at all, has not demonstrated any effective charisma, and not gotten anywhere with the *multiple* opportunities given to him.

Athleticism is nice and all, but it doesn't sell PPVs or merch.

Athleticism is primarily how well and many moves you can hit. Name ONE that WOWs you. For morrison id say the corkscrew lionsault. IDK anyone else who can hit that.

I think if he does win a world title it would have to be a shocker and a very short reign. It would kind of be like when Kane won the title like 12 years ago. Put the belt on him because no one would expect him to win it and have him lose it soon afterwards.

I have to be honest the WWE has been disappointing the hell out of me recently. Triple H, John Cena, and Edge are constantly the champs. Batista, Taker, and Orton are the only other three guys that are really over and everybody else is just thrown a bone every once in a while. I would always get pissed when the real hardcore fans buried The Game bc of his status in the WWE but not putting Orton over at WM25 was really disgraceful. RKO hasn't beaten Triple H ever and they've been having on again off again feuds since the summer of 2004. And the Edge/ Cena feud is about as stale as it gets. Whether it's Shelton Benjamin, Brian Kendrick, or John Morrison the WWE really has to start putting over new talent.

Shelton Benjamin=Greatest Current Technical Wrestler.

I believe he should be pushed to the top, because he DOES deserve it. People like Swagger don't deserve shit. And they are definitely using R-Truth wrong, and they never even acknowledged the fact he used to be in WWE. They are using all the black wrestlers wrong.

Mark Henry=They've been screwing him outta the spotlight.
Shelton=Always has great matches. I'd love to see him and Jericho feud.
R-Truth=The guy is quick and is over with the crowd. Mic skills? FO SHO.
Kofi Kingston=He got screwed outta the Elimination Chamber to put Edge's gay ass in.

now i do agree that black wrestlers have been misused. lets also look at MVP and why he is not up there. this guy is over with the crowd now. can work a face and heel role really well. has great mic skills. wrestling is above average. i think they need to change his finisher though for sure. Shelton has the ability no problem. its his character i think they are trying to develope more before he goes to the top. now i think they have waited to long because he had wins over Hunter back in 02 and really good match with Shawn in gold rush tournament. great Money in the bank matches the highlights to be specific. he should be a main eventer already. on Raw he won't get shit because to many blow hard heads on there.

I don't find Benjamin entertaining. He lacks the minimum amount of charisma that a World Champ needs to survive in the main event jungle. He's just a walking spot-fest carnie. He's slow in the ring, he's not very strong, and anything he is good at, there is someone in the WWE who is better. For example, notice how bad Kofi made Shelton look at WrestleMania 25 doing all that crazy stuff, that is categorized under the very general word 'athleticism' by the announcers, without even doing a life-threatning spot, too... I comprehend the things that some of you find respectable about Shelton, but to me, he's just another mid-carder who doesn't do much entertainment-wise. He will be easily forgettable. A World Champ should not be forgettable; well at least not easily >.>

The only time Benjamin is entertaining is in the Money In The Bank matches and on the very rare occasion he will have a few good matches during the year but it's not enough to warrant him a World Championship. All he will be for the rest of his career is mid card.

He has had chance after chance to shine from pinning Triple H on RAW, being in that Gold Rush match with Shawn Michaels, he's been in like 4/5 Money In The Bank Ladder matches I think? If he's been in that many and hasn't won it, he never will.

Couldn't it be possible that he was buried because of politics? He beat Triple H, so maybe Triple H has tried to cut the legs out from him because Shelton is talented and popular, things that Triple H no longer is.

I wonder if the colour of Shelton's skin has anything to do with it? Name one other champion that they have put the WWE or World Title on? I'm not counting the Rock, because, like Barak Obama, he is only half-African American.

Not only that, but JBL had the title for a year!!! You mean to tell me that Shelton Benjamin doesn't have the charisma to be a main eventer, but the Great Khali does???


Great Khali, Umaga, and Vladimir Kozlov are all in the same shitty boat. They don't have any charisma. Hell, they don't even speak English on T.V., and they get World Title shots. With the exception of Umaga, neither one of them is particuarly good in the ring.

This is all because Vince has a boner for the giants. He always has.

Thank God he realized Kozlov sucks, and banished him to ECW!!!

i remember seeing Shelton on wwe when i was just flicking thru the channels before i was watching wrestling again, and i thought he was bland and had no future and thought wwe had nothing going for itself at the time...now i saw him a year or so later and thought somewhat of the opposite...now i got to see him in the MITB match at wm25 and while he is a tough gutsy guy with a good skillset, i dont see him having a shot at anything more than an Intercontinental belt or something like that, ecw champ or something. maybe one championship run, we'll see how he matures.

Shelton is a great wrestler and exciting to watch. Unfortunatly it's only the IWC that he has reached. The general wrestling audiance couldnt care less about him because his character is bland and boring. Now, i am actually a big fan of Shelton's and i would LOVE to see him with a world title but i am realistic, he will never get one.

Why? Because his character is pretty shit and he isnt motivated. He'll always be a solid mid carder with the potential to be at the top but will never get there. Sad... but true.
