Ok, since there have been questions about it:
1. Flaming is permitted in the bar room.
2. If you don't wanna be flamed, stay out of the bar room.
3. If someone flames you, you may flame them back.
4. If you don't wanna flame them back, use the ignore feature.
5. If you don't wanna use the ignore feature, then just ignore the comment.
6. Racism, sexism, homophobia - all are still not permitted. Sly disagrees with me on this, and that's fine, but it's how it's gonna be. We will not promote an atmosphere of intolerance in here.
7. Mods will decide intent. While imperfect and subjective, it's how it has to be. This is a wrestling forum, so it should never even be an issue. Why do we have to keep examining these rules like we're fucking congress, anyway? It's a waste of our goddam time, when we could be starting interesting threads or prepping the tournament.
8. If you are offended by a comment you feel was racist, sexist, or homophobic, report the post. We will review it and make a decision. If the decision doesn't go your way, move on with life.
9. Warnings will be continued to be used for training purposes, but since mods have been instructed not to over-moderate the bar room, it shouldn't come up unless you a) are a racist, b) are sexist, or c) are a homophobe.
10. This doesn't apply to worthwhile discussions on topics SUCH AS racism, sexism, etc. Having a mature conversation about these issues (i.e. in Chit Chat, vis-a-vis thread "The N-Word.") is fine. Calling someone a name for no reason that is predjudiced in nature is no good.
11. If you have questions about this, ask here or PM me. Don't bitch about it, these are essentially the same rules that the bar room has always had. If you wanna bitch, well, we have a wing for that. Like I said, this is a wrestling forum, shouldn' be an issue.
12. The mods, contrary to popular belief, are here to help you and to drive conversation, not to be "nazis" or any of this crap. 50% of our arguments and fights in the Board Room have been on how to loosen the rules to allow more members and more posting, so if that's still not enough for you, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.
13. Warnings and infractions are handled on a CASE BY CASE basis. SOme posters who contribute more than others may well receive a little more leeway than a n00b with a chip on their shoudler or a barfly with a bitching complex.
14. Mods reserve the right to enact the "overall enjoyment of the forums" rule, just as Bud Selig has the "best interest of the game of baseball" power. If you feel there is an issue, PM someone.
That's it. Questions and shit...
