Think before you post.
Sporting News has reported that the Arizona Cardinals are going to charge their fans who want to buy tickets to the Cowboys-Cardinals Game and force them to buy tickets to the Cardinals vs Saints game. It is a way to discourage fans of the Cowboys from coming.

What do you guys think? I believe this is cheap and low. If Cowboy fans want to come, let them. The Cardinals are just going to alienate fans by doing that. Forcing fans to go to 2 games instead of the 1 they want. The Chargers do the same thing with Raiders Games.

I myself am a 49er fan and I hope if I ever do go to an Arizona Cardinals home game against my Niners that the bastards don't charge me for an extra game.

Thoughts?

Oh for fuck sake that's just ******ed, why would you want to discourage anyone form buying tickets to a game by charging them for another game they don't want to see, that's just dumb, the Cardinals already have hardly any fans and you're going to alienate the ones you do have by FORCING them to buy tickets to another game, that's just low, so what if Cowboy fans come, isn't there money just as good as Cardinals fans

I'm a huge Cowboys fan, and I've always wanted to go to a game. I was considering heading to LA this year to see soem family and I figured I could get to see the Boys on the way, figuring that the Cardinals wouldn't have a huge crowd and I could get a good seat. This has just cost them my ticket money. What I wonder is if you want a ticket to the Saints game, do you ahve to buy a ticket to the Cowboys game? They're one of the worst professional franchises ever, they never make a serious run, their qb is old but still can play better than their future, what the hell are they thinking? Dallas should be a huge draw, but it's not gonna happen.

Wait a minute, the Arizona Cardinals have fans?

All kidding aside, it really is a low blow to do that to not only the Cowboys fans not only from Texas who would want to come and cheer their team on, but there are Cowboys fans from Arizona, I'm sure. Also, with the way the economy is, if a family wants to go see the Cardinals play the best team in the NFC, they probably won't be able to afford tickets/food/everything else to go to another game.

This is precisely why the Cardinals are looked upon as such a joke. They really could have the potential to be a playoff team with the offense that they have.

Wow just when you think the Cardinals are going to do something Big (like experts have been predicting and gone nowhere) they pull this crap.

Honestly, do they want to drive fans away? I guess so as I would damned if I would play for two games when I only want to go to one. Whats next fans who pay for one NFC west home games must buy all three NFC west home games. This is why teams loose fans, and the worst part for the Cardinals is they have so little fans to begin with. Their reasoning is stupid and if they are afraid of Boys fans coming, then have a batter team and maybe your people will come out to support and watch ya.

Just a dumb ass idea and this is why the Cardinals are still a joke of a team and organization.

Meh guys, this isn't anything new at all. Most football teams, hell almost any sports team, does this anymore, especially in the NFL.

With both the reds and the Bengals the Season ticket holders get priority over everyone.

When it comes to the Bengals, the full season tickets go on sale first, then Two-Four Game packages, then Four-Two game packages. Whatever is left, goes on sale for the individual packages. There is no problem with this.

Say it's Bengals Steelers, or Bengals Browns, two teams within 200 miles, their crowd is going to come. If they are going to buy tickets, why not make them pay for two games. If they want to come, they'll pay and sell their tickets on e-bay or something. I think it's pretty smart. It's supply and demand really. People wouldn't sell package tickets if people weren't going to buy package tickets. Nothing is more embarrassing then having a home game with more enemy colors in the stands then you're own.

One reason this won't effect sales, ticket scalpers. A large number of tickets sold for events are sold to people who have no intention of going, they are just trying to turn a quick profit. They will still buy as will people who want to go to one of the games. Some scalpers even have (what is now illegal) software that automatically buys the maximum number of tickets allowed.

I'm unsure of what Arizona's ticket sales were like last year, but if they weren't horrible, they will still sell this year.

Im not sure how close Arizona is to Texas, but with football in the Uk the buy 2 tickets scheme is used for when teams play one of the bigger clubs. I think this is due to the bigger clubs with huge fanbases will sell out thier allocation, then jump online and buy tickets in the home end.

This happened last season with Leeds and Yeovil, then again for Leeds vs Doncaster in the playofffinal. Leeds fans were simply jumping on the motorway and taking a trip down to the opposition ground and buying tickets in the "home" end. This isnt so bad, but its when the nutjobs who buy tickets and then proceed to "kick off" with the home fans when things go wrong.
