Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
I never picked up on this before but when Marty goes back in time, he runs into Old Man Peabody. Peabody's son: Sherman.

Something wrong?

I watched the movie several times before catching that the sign "Twin Pines Mall" had changed to "Lone Pine Mall" after Marty returned from his first trip to 1955. Remember, Old Man Peabody blasted one of the pines with a shotgun while firing at Marty? Had Marty not gone back to 1955, both pines would still have existed.

Sure, they would have.
Sure.
One word sums up why I think BTTF 2 is the best:
Hoverboard
Because it deals with time travel, the trilogy has a lot of loose ends, but this one has always bothered me. So, Marty goes back to 1955 in BTTF 1 and helps his parents get together. Since Marty played such an integral role in getting the McFlys hooked up, don't you think they would notice that their son, 1985 Marty, looks a hell of a lot like that Marty guy that they knew back in high school?
Great movies. I've probably seen each of them at least a dozen times.

Quick question: lets say you meet someone for the first time this week. You only see them for the next 7 days. Now. Skip ahead to 2042. Do you think you would still recognize that person, 30 years later?
This isn't a plot hole at all. It is entirely reasonable to expect both George and Lorraine McFly to have completely forgotten the face of someone they only knew for a single week, 30 years prior.
I originally had a reply to your post too, regarding the alternate Marty, and I just copied the quote formatting with the intent to change one of them to Booker B's name...I just forgot to do it.
I didn't end up replying to yours since I wasn't sure if you meant the 1985 Marty from BTTF or the 1985 Marty from BTTF II.
I was talking about the end of the first one.

There's the DeLorean Marty comes back in and the DeLorean that Doc buried there. Why not go get that one? Am I missing something or is that a big plot hole?
