Anime Suggestions

Samurai Champloo
GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad
Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex

I am so ashamed to be in the presense of so-called otaku and not have one of you mention any of these.

Like I said, I stopped watching anime about 4 years ago. I kind of outgrew it... I think. I can't think of a more logical explanation.

I've never seen the GTO anime, but I've heard good things. The manga is fan-fucking-tastic, though.

After looking through this thread, I've got to thank JMT (I think I may rep him).

Darker Than Black is surprisingly good. It's an anime that doesn't censor it's violence and actually has a decent plot (That can be a rare combo when it comes to anime).

It's a FUNimation dub so you'll recognise the voices from DBZ (Christopher Sabat plays one of the big supporting roles and whips out the Piccolo voice) and overall it's a solid dub. The animation is great and although a tad complicated at the start (It honestly took me about four episodes to understand but I eventually figured it out) the plot is very interesting.

WATCH IT!

(You too Doc;))

I recommend Eureka Seven if you haven't already seen it. It is very good, excellent action, great different plot, and got me teary eyed many times. Real quality anime.

Also recommend Dance in the Vampire Bund, Vampires are trying to buy a small island outside of Japan. Got werewolves and shit too, good show.

So I finally went home for the weekend and have just now been able to start downloading some of these shows due to my new place blocking every single torrent site that I know of. As of right now I've been able to find Code Geass, Ghost in the Shell, Shaman King, s-Cry-ed, and Darker than Black. If anyone has any other suggestions that are hopefully available in an English dub on thepiratebay it would help me get my Anime fix.

Akira
Steamboy
Howl's Moving Castle
My Neighbour Totoro
Princess Mononoke
Grave of the Fireflys
Porko Rosso
Trinity Blood

Trigun. Great Show. Nice Balance of Comedy & Action. Plus it gets uber serious about half way.

I agree FunKay, I've seen the series multiple times since its initial run on Adult Swim and I have grown to love Johnny Bosch's voice work because of it.

I actually liked SD Gundam. It was a pretty fun twist on the franchise. I remember watching it all the time on Toonami.
