Angle vs. Lashley seems to be a Bound for Glory type match. Does anyone else think that this match should take place on the 4th? I was thinking that this would surely get me to change the channel to Impact at least for this match, Plus with Lashley signing with Strikeforce and the rumor that he may be done with wrestling soon to focus on that, the possibility of that dream match fades everyday. What do you think? Angle vs. Lashley for the 4th? Would it be a high enough caliber match to get you to change the channel for? There could even be something on the line, say Lashley's future number one contenders slot that Angle so desperately wants. Thoughts?

Angle vs. Lashley would be a phenomenal match (at least in my opinion) and I would love to see it. I think that it would be a great idea for TNA to have it on the 4th since Lashley most likely will be in TNA by BFG '10. Good topic.

If Lashley is indeed leaving TNA (and professional wrestling) for MMA and Strikeforce full-time, then I say yes, give Lashley the proper send-off against Angle, but I say do it in a best two-out-of-three falls series like they did with Matt Morgan and AJ Styles a few months ago. Have the first match of that series on January 4th, and build the story's arc early on in the show.

Angle v. Black Angle is something the IWC has wanted to see for some time now, anyway.

To be quite honest that would be a great match but I don't think it would make me switch to TNA during Raw to see it. To be perfectly honest I don't think anything or anyone can get me to change the channel from seeing Bret Hart in the WWE once again for the first time in twelve years. I couldn't think of anything better to watch next monday than to see Bret Hart and HBK in the same building and possibly in the same ring face to face one more time.

That's a great idea and I agree. They could do an extended feud, beginning with a potentially amazing match this monday on the 4th. I would have Lashley win that match, and then end up putting Angle over in the end of the feud if he does decide to leave TNA. Come to think of it, whether Lashley leaves or not, having them start up a feud on monday would be great because we could be in for a really great match and TNA needs to put on the best possible show they can on the 4th.

I would love to see this match happen.

Kurt Angle has been and will always be one of my favourite wrestlers to ever step inside the ring and any match where he is pitted against someone else who can really wrestle will always be a corker of a match. Angle really could show people that he made a great choice when he joined TNA and now is the time that the light should shine on him more than ever. One could argue that he is the single greatest competitor to step into a TNA ring and if that is true, he needs to step up to the plate and put on a wonderful performance that TNA and I expect of him. That being said, Angle's in-ring performance has always been up to a great standard and if they put him in a match with Bobby Lashley, I would expect him to excel again.

Lashley though, doesn't really warrant it though, does he? Does Bobby Lashley deserve to be put in the ring against one of the best wrestlers ever when he is leaving the company in the next few months? I doubt it.

Where do you guys keep coming up with all of this talk regarding Lashley leaving TNA? Lashley signed a 1 year deal to TNA prior to joining the company. In fact, he'll be on the UK tour. To answer the question, Angle vs. Lashley could be a very big money match because Lashley knows how to have great technical matches (Ie: Lashley vs. Benoit on RAW Draft Lottery 2007). Lashley vs. Angle could be huge. And yes, I do think it could warrant me to change the channel. I wouldn't prefer for TNA to do that match so soon though, I'd prefer to see AJ vs. Lashley. For some reason, I think that would be a real interesting matchup.

I don't even think Lashley deserves to be #1 contender to AJ Styles. I think Angle should challenge Lashley for that number #1 contender ship on Jan 4th, and see Samoa Joe cash in his briefcase against AJ Styles that night. That would be one hell of a show. Lashley will probably be done with TNA at the end of January when he goes to Strikeforce anyways.

There is no way he can fully commit to two sports at the same time. Lashley should have a match with Angle though before he goes out. There isn't anyone else he could feud with. I certainly don't want to see Lashley against AJ. I'm sure him and Angle would have a pretty decent match together. Hopefully Angle would be the victor since Lashley isn't staying.

Kenny Powers, Bobby Lashley is already a #1 contender to face AJ Styles. He won the TCS tournament a few weeks back so he's guaranteed a title shot no matter what. I think a high flying AJ Styles facing a powerhouse/technical wrestler in Bobby Lashley would make for an interesting bout especially for the 1/4 show because the WWE fans can identify with Bobby Lashley and may keep the channel on TNA once they see him in the ring against the champion of all people.

As for Lashley doing MMA & TNA, I don't know why some of you guys act like it's impossible. He's only gonna have about maybe 3-4 fights per year in strikeforce if not less and in TNA, he only wrestles about once-2x every 2 weeks. Or sometimes, all he'd be required to do is film a vignette or cut a promo and go on about his life. His job in wrestling is not that hard or severe that he'd have to quit one thing to do another. I understand he has to train for fights, but when you wrestle 1 or 2 times every 2 weeks, that leaves enough time for training. Who needs so much time off for training anyway? His TNA schedule can allow him to compete in both and I think he'll be committed to do it. The guy doesn't have to be locked away for months straight to prepare for a single fight. Besides Strikeforce likes Lashley's relationship with TNA and they encourage it because Strikeforce sees TNA as a gateway to promote Lashley fights and Strikeforce events. So no, I don't see him going anywhere and I really do not mind him in TNA. He doesn't bother me at all.

I think Angle vs. Lashley does have a "big-match" feel to it. And a series between the two would be epic. Perhaps when Lashley cashes in his title opportunity, Angle can come out and interrupt him and declare himself the true number one contender.

This could lead to a triple threat between AJ Styles, Angle, and Lashley (which would be interesting)...or a series of matches between Angle and Lashley. I would tune in for that.

Also, Lashley debuted at Lockdown in April...to the surprise of Jarrett and Co., and to the utter glee of Kurt Angle. Lashley has had run-ins with the MEM and lately with Scott Steiner, but never one-on-one with Angle. This would be a great way to put some closure on the "connection" mentioned during Lashley's debut.

That'd be pretty sweet indeed! A pair of matches in there, utilising the best talent that TNA has on offer today would really give RAW something to think about.
There are problems with it though, for me personally. I've seen Lashley vs Joe. I've seen Angle vs Joe. I want to see Joe beat AJ. Not Angle, not Lashley, soundly BEAT AJ. Say, if Lashley were to beat Angle and Joe beats AJ, then we're set for Joe vs Lashley again. I don't know about you, but their match last time didn't really go over so well for me, so I'm apprehensive seeing them square off again.
Though, it could be a different kettle of fish this time around if Joe isn't jobbing to Lashley again.

There is no way he can fully commit to two sports at the same time.

Why not? Honest question here, can you explain to me why you don't think it's doable?

Shamrock did it back in the Attitude Era and UFC (not to the same scale, I know but humour me). And considering the light schedules both Strikeforce and TNA offer in the form of not needing to compete every week on Impact necessarily and not having the touring factor wearing you down, it seems like it could be pretty doable.

I actually believe this match up could happen in the future. Right now, Lashley is the only legit number one contender now that Daniels has lost right?. So, why not have Lashley come out, and say he wants AJ and the title. Then , boom, Angle comes out, and even though he would still be a face, he would talk about how AJ was handed the championship and Angle never got a rematch. He would then challenge Lashley to put up his number one contendership in the match. Not only would we all get a match we want to see, but it would be a good way to keep Lashley away from the title if he is in fact leaving the company. I think Angle could actually pull something good out of Lashley in a match against him other then his usual power moves. I'd be interested in seeing this match happen for sure.
