Angle - HHH - Strowman

I don't know but the whole deal seems fishy. First we had the Survivor Series aftermath, with HHH pedigeeing Angle and Jordan, and Strowman beting up the Game.

And now, Angle fired Strowman, but Stephanie McMahon, HHH's wife, hired him back.

Are they setting up am angle with HHH vs Angle and Strowman in the middle, having to pick sides?

I think you've put more thought into it than the creative team has. To me it just reeks of McMahon's needing to rub their stink over whatever the hottest act on the show is, just like anything since they caught lightning in a bottle with Austin vs McMahon. Kurt Angle just happens to be there too.

Well, if its true Jordan is injured they have to get Angle in program. And in WWE twisted logic somehow it makes sense that Stephanie reinstates Strowman just to HHH takes him out in that match, instead, you know, her just keeping Strowman out. Dont kid yourself, it was always about HHH vs Strowman since Survivor Series, Kurt is just bystander.

I really hope it's Strowman vs HHH and not HHH vs Angle.

I just thought that the whole point of Stephanie rehiring Strowman was so that he stopped costing the company money by destroying everything of value. Nothing else in the past matters as it can always easily be flipped if not forgotten.

They set up both programs at Survivor Series and they've continued to tease both. At this point they can still choose to go in whichever direction they want to and I assume that direction won't become clear until the Royal Rumble.

I'm still leaning towards Angle/Triple H for no particular reason and I realize logic probably dictates them going the other way... but I don't know. Angle/Triple H was the supposed plan months ago so I'm still sticking to that.

As far as what that would mean for Strowman, who knows really. This time last year he was smack dab in the middle of a feud with Roman Reigns, seemingly destined to play a big part at WrestleMania. Instead he ended up in the battle royal and didn't even come close to winning it.

It seems like the seeds are planted for Strauman vs Triple H which I'm ok with. If Strauman is likely not going to be in the title picture then at least this gives him a prominent spot at Mania. Stephanie will likely return to tv while Strauman continues to wreak havoc on Raw. This eventually lead to Triple H making his return to confront Strauman.
As for Angle I dont so the need to put him in in the middle of a Strauman Triple H feud. Smackdown already is having the power struggle with two authority figures with Bryan and Shane. I still hope to see Angle vs Triple H again at some point but I don't think it needs to happen at Mania. If Angle does work Mania then I'm sure they'll think of something for him, the groundwork has already been laid for a Jordan vs Angle feud.

It's not rocket science... this would seem to be more that they are trying to sow the seeds of an Austin push for Strowman, as the "badass who does what he wants" and Trips/Steph/Angle can't control him.

If he comes down and destroys Austin next week, which I half expect, then it's clear where they're going with it.

I don't care to see Triple H wrestle anymore.

He returns, starts a feud, disappears for six months, finally returns when practically all the heat is gone, and then loses at Mania.

There's only so many times you can do that until people stop caring.

I think they're simply trying to build Strowman as an unstoppable monster. There probably won't be any real connection with Stephanie or HHH, and Stephanie hiring him back will be written off as Stephanie wanting to maintain control of Raw. If anything, this might lead to HHH vs Angle with Angle's job on the line. Strowman doesn't really fit in and will probably feud with someone else. Actually he might retire Kane, which I wouldn't care to see either.
