I hope for kayfabe's sake and for my entertainment's sake, WWE never has another "Face of Company" ever again. Being face of the company is too limiting. If a guy is so good at media, charity, and spokespersoning he may never get a chance to really change.

Cena is amazing as the face of the company but it has probably hampered my enjoyment of what he does on WWE programming. Hogan was the master, although I was a kid back then and it got old at some point as well. Austin's character didn't work for the role. The Rock was brilliant at it when he was the good guy. HHH does decently as well with his quick wit and ability not to say stupid things.

But based on Ambrose's character, I don't want him to be face of the WWE. It would ruin him. I don't know enough about him outside of the show to know if he has the desire, temperament, or personality for the job. He certainly doesn't seem to have the look.

He can be a main eventer or maybe even a top guy some day but face of the company is too much for anyone.

Long story short, be careful what you wish upon your favorites.

As a Roman Reigns fan, I agree wholeheartedly with this.

Watching SuperRoman unfold before my very eyes in a lacklustre program with 2 Authority stooges as boring as Orton and Kane have been............ :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It is always better to have a hero who looks vulnerable every once in a while, makes for much better programming.

What an interesting and scientific thread. The OP likes Dean Ambrose and feels that the show has sucked with him not there. Ok, I'm convinced. Screw making him champion let's make him the face of the entire company! Will somebody for the love of Gawd get Wheaties on the phone?

Don't get me wrong, I like Dean Ambrose. He's fun to watch but so help me god if you take one more wrestler and overhype him to the point of making me want to turn off my television (Daniel Bryan) I'm going to flip out. Why can't somebody be great on the midcard for a while? Why does everything remotely hot have to be pushed to the moon or suffer a snarky smark revolution? In case you haven't noticed there is no better way to kill an interesting role player than by forcing that square peg into the round main eventer's hole. Wait, can I talk about main eventer's holes?

Definitely Ambrose should be the face of WWE because if anything he reminds me so much of a young Stone Cold Steve Austin in terms of his popularity in terms of his attitude but also his charisma on the mic too, like how could Ambrose not be the next face of WWE

Every time someone gets sort of popular someone goes and compares them to Stone Cold. The only thing the two have in common is that they're both wrestlers. Of course this one isn't half as bad as when people were trying to compare Daniel Bryan to Stone Cold. I guess once they convince people that a dorky guy like Bryan is even remotely similar to the Rattle Snake it will be self esteem city for wrestling nerds everywhere.

I tendentially agree with this, pushing something quickly usually results in a crash and burn. On the other hand though without Ambrose the main event feuds would currently been boring as hell.

I like ambrose and feel he is a huge asset to the wwe I just hope wwe dosent have him job out to bray wyatt. I feel he will be the last one to win the wwe world heavyweight championship though as first will be roman reigns then seth and last to be him.

He shouldnt be the face of the company. Right now.

Bryan made it because he made whatever shit gets thrown to him into gold. And there was lot of people who stood behind him with whole "Yes" thing. And even him wasnt face of the company. Cena was, eventhough he agreed to play second fiddle sometimes. Bryan and Punk in recent years were unique examples of guys who dont have right looks and still made it pretty big. And still, Cena was face of WWE all that time.

So, Ambrose as maineventer? Yes but it depends how he shows up in next few months/years because he has lot of work to do.

Ambrose as face of the company? Meh, just cant see it. Would love for him to prove me wrong, but just cant see it.
