I'm one of the biggest AJ Lee marks in the buisness. And even though I haven't made a post on the forums in a while I've stayed in the site. But tonites Raw had to be one of the best in memory. My favorite diva of all time and my second favorite superstar, Jericho, coming back on the same night was awesome! I just hated seeing Jericho served up to the Wyatt's. But my point was AJ is what's best for buisness!!!!

Great swerve! Totally unexpected, which always makes it much better. I very much got the feel that AJ Lee will be the face, and Paige might become the crazy heel which makes things even more interesting! FINALLY, a feud I feel I can truly have some interest in. I hope this is a prolonged feud, they'll put on some great matches if given the time.

That was an awesome moment last night. As far as we know, they already had two matches and two title changes occurred without giving away nothing. That is a money match, at least for me, and if they keep with this double turn of some sorts, we will have a good story with a couple of good matches.

WWE truly needs to give Paige a personality, because as far as we know it, she is still the same as she was the day she made her debut. Going heel is probably the best way to do that, mainly because AJ is confident enough in promos, while Paige is still very raw (no pun). I could see this last until SummerSlam and prior to that and both women should get out even more popular than before. As far as I'm concerned, the divas division has gained my attention once again.

i personally am a huge fan of paige and feel she is the best "wreslling" diva in the division. while it was a great surprise to see aj return last night (as i hadn't read the spoilers before i watched raw so i didn't know she or Y2J were coming back so that was even better!!) i just wish that paige had kept the belt. i can see why they had aj win it back in the same sort of fashion that paige won it from her but it was obvious that aj was the face and that paige kind of was heel (when she shouted at aj this is my house now just before aj rolled her up for the win) so i thought that maybe should have been dq'd or just walked out the match and that would have given her more heat then that could start of a feud and match at battleground for the belt. that said hopefully now paige will be able to develop her character as last night was the first time since she won the belt and her debut that she was given some mic time which to me is a disgrace for any newcomer let alone a champion so it was hard for the fans to connect with her as she never got a chance to show any personality or talk properly up until last night. anyway i hope somewhere down the line she gets the belt back again! paige rules!

They gave her very little personality in WWE, or at least didn't give her the chance to show it. Turning her heel is by far the best thing they could do right now. She was the anti-diva in NXT, and it worked big time. She has the attitude (which I think she showed in the ring tonight, she was quite vicious for the first time on the main roster), and she can play the distraught young wrestler who is seeing her dreams shatter around her, meaning she can develop an unhealthy obsession with getting her title back, making her a heel in the process.

As I said before, they definitely gave AJ the feel that she's "turned over a new leaf" so to speak. I'm sure she'll still have crazy chick characteristics, but she made a point of saying she's had the slap in the face she needed and doesn't feel invincible. Seemed like a pretty legit face turn to me.

If the WWE let this one play out, it could be fantastic for the Divas division.

I can't believe I am saying this, but, AJ is too small. Its weird its just that I realize how physically impressive the opponent is when AJ is standing toe to toe with her. I'm glad she has a submission finisher, helps her loads, but yeah, this hit me yesterday as well.

Anyway,

One issue with Paige's character, she is supposed to be this dark anti-diva and shit; trouble is, we already have a cheerful, witty, smarky, anti-diva in AJ after all the nonsense with the cast of Total Divas. So they have to full blown dark with Paige or something.




Also, are guys really talking about a female wrestler's pregnancy on this forum....Christ

AJ vs Paige, if built right, could be the best divas feud in over 5 years. AJ coming back can rejuvenate the divas division. They both know how to put on a match. Paige needs to be the heel in this feud, she can have more personality that way! The fans will probably be really into the feud.

I am happy that AJ Lee is back,so much for the rumored pregnancy rumors goes.. AJ was and will make a fine champion,she is super confident in her promos,has good wrestling ability in the ring.. When she was Divas champion,her matches everyone would look forward to them.. Her Skipping,and just bat shit crazy made her special..

Paige needs a dark side turn,she really doesn't or at least hasn't had the chance to develop her personality.. At only 21 years old,she is very Raw and still very young.. Paige is the next big Diva in the making,she has to go full-blown heel,it was sorta teased last night..

I'm glad to see her back, and she'll bring tons back to the Divas division, but her image needs to be divorced from her real life marriage, which in unfortunate, because the fans are shitbags.

Yes, but that will be tough to do since the company obviously knew the "CM Punk" chants were going to be generated at the fans' sighting of AJ. The only way to prevent it would be to not bring her back, which surely would have been self-defeating on the part of the company. I've missed her.

If any diva in the past 10 years has carved out a unique personality for herself (with the help of WWE Creative, of course) it's AJ Lee. Her "crazy chick" persona translated to her functioning as face or heel .....and her interactions with the guys made many of us look forward to what mess she was going to get into next.

Her appearance in the ring with Paige (if Paige didn't have a scheduled match when she was walking to the ring, what was she out there for, anyway?) seemed to point to AJ saying: "Hey, British girl, thanks for holding the belt for me since WM30. Now, it's time to give it back" .......and give it back is what she did. They weren't going to waste time with preliminary matches.

AJ giveth..... and AJ taketh away.

Many come and go as I remember Kelly Kelly was Paige's age once and is no longer with the company with many years ahead of her to shine. I watch the Divas matches more now because I am anxious to see Paige's character develop more.

I did sense Paige turning heel and sure that's the direction she's headed. Her and AJ had unfinished business so it's only right they pick back up where they left off the night after Wrestlemania.

The Divas division is more of a revolving door than the male part of the roster. Many come, build momentum and are gone before you know it. Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, Eve, ect. So if they are going to capitalize on a feud now is the time.

I was very happy to see AJ return. She's the best diva since the departure of Lita and Trish, so the division needed her. I feel bad for Paige though as her title reign now looked as if she was only just holding onto the belt while AJ was away. She never got to showcase her true skills while having title matches against the girls who can actually put on decent matches. Had Natalya or Summer been the challenger sunday instead, for instance, we may be having a different conversation. With that being said, AJ and Paige could have a fantastic feud. It could probably even beat the AJ VS Kaitlyn feud from last year. The two best divas feuding now that the biggest female star in the company is back? Yes, THAT is what is best for business! I'd want to see AJ and Paige feud all through Summerslam. WWE should let those two divas prove that the division still has potential to fully turn around. I can't wait to see a REAL match between those two, the two title change "matches" don't even begin to touch on what they could possibly provide.

I'm glad they did this. It was actually pretty funny to see Paige lose the championship like AJ did.

I really do hope Paige turns heel ( I know, I know... ) because she would have a chance to show or at least develop some personality. With AJ Lee seemingly turning face all of a sudden I'm guessing Paige will turn. But they really need to go to darker dephts rather than just being a "heel" and doing heel antics. They have money in Paige and she is young and they can really make her ( and if she is up to it which seems like it ) the next big diva.

This segment was good because it brought instant interest to the divas division ( Fox to me has went from interesting to boring really fast the way they started booking her, after a few of her stunts she basically turned into a badly-booked AJ Lee light ).

It was also good because it sparred us of a badly booked champion. WWE made 0 efforts to make people care for her. The only reason I like Paige is because I like her look and her anti-diva gimmick ( which really hasnt even been explored ) and the fact that, like AJ, she's a wrestling fan since being a kid and can actually wrestle. But as a personality and character I really am not interested that much. She is still young so I'll hold off on judging her personality since nobody "finds themselves" so quick. She has a sweet entrance theme so that helps aswell.

That was one of the stupidest returns I ever saw. Paige was building momentum and a fanbase. She had a perfectly good feud set up with AJ Lee. But for lazy reasons AJ just showed up (guess that whole pregnant shit was internet bullshit) and just rehashed the same idea that started all this.

Why? What the hell did that accomplish other than put everything right back to the night after Wrestlemania? Oh, right. A double turn. Because Paige wasn't working as a face. I guess.

Confused and shocked by this.

I was almost sure Paige would find a way to hold on to the title with a cheap DQ or a count out to retain. This way, WWE has time to build a Paige heel turn (obviously WWE has plans to go this route with Paige openly admitting she suckered AJ into defending the Divas Championship the night after Wrestlemania, and Paige taunting AJ about her mistake) leading into Battleground with Paige as champion, where she holds on to the title again with another cheap win before losing the title to AJ at Summerslam.

I mean, it's AJ, so she doesn't need the Divas Championship off the bat. It's all really strange to me, and AJ winning the title so soon makes me believe in the reports with an unimpressed Vince McMahon having little to no faith in Paige and others so far.
