Adam Rose VS the Bunny: How can this work?

I really, REALLY hope this likely feud isn't leading to a PPV match. The whole concept of the fighting bunny man was kind of funny and cute at first, but what can be done with it? I don't like the Adam Rose gimmick, but they can always have it evolve into something else and he can remain Adam Rose. But the Bunny idea as its own entity will get old fast.

If the idea is to get whoever is under the mask over, then shouldn't they be revealing who it is? Whatever momentum they're gaining as the bunny will be lost when people find out who it is, because presumably they'd drop the gimmick at that time. Is the Bunny going to put over Adam Rose? That won't do anything for his career. The bunny hasn't won any meaningful matches and if it turns out to be Justin Gabriel or Santino, what would it matter? They were already jobbers...

Plus, the writing is all sorts of screwed up. I'm actually sympathizing with Adam Rose more, as the Bunny does often get in the way and screw things up. I especially found it amusing when he was preparing to DQ Adam Rose by interrupting his match, which lead to Rose attacking him. Later that night, Ryback did the exact same thing to Kane for trying to get involved and for some reason...It was okay when he did it.

The annoying thing is I actually am starting to like Adam Rose as a heel. I'm a little concerned that he's mimicking Bo Dallas a bit, but he's selling it pretty well. But I don't see how this angle will benefit anyone involved.

If this match does take place, it'll happen on an episode of Raw or as part of a ppv kickoff show. There was talk earlier this month of this match taking place as part of the Survivor Series kickoff show.

Initially, Adam Rose was a bit more sympathetic because the Bunny was sorta getting in the way. At the same time, Adam Rose & his Rosebuds are free spirits who get caught up in the moment, it's a bit part of what their gimmick is all about. So, the Bunny getting a little carried away and accidentally getting in the way fits in with the general characteristics of the Rosebuds. However, a page was turned when Rose attempted to attack the Bunny after losing his second match to Tyson Kidd because the Bunny stayed completely out of the way this time. He didn't interfere in the match, he didn't do anything to really distract Rose, he just didn't interfere in the match this time and Rose wanted him to. The Bunny was paying attention to Natalya instead of Rose, so he didn't do anything wrong. Since Rose tried to hurt the Bunny out of a sense of frustration, whatever sympathy Rose may have garnered really isn't there anymore. He told the Bunny to stay out of the way, the Bunny did what he was told, Rose lost anyway and tried to take it out on him.

As for how to make this work, I just hope it gets dropped altogether. There's no real way to make this work in the sense that it's gonna be a feud or match that's gonna draw people in. It's a comedy match between a low card jobber and a guy dressed in a bunny suit, it's the sort of "sports entertainment" type of setting that Vince McMahon loves to see.

For me, there really is no way that Adam Rose versus the Bunny works. It was a terrible idea from start to finish, and one that needs to be terminated as soon as possible to minimize the damage.

Clearly, the identity of the Bunny needs to be revealed as soon as possible. However, I've been so annoyed by this angle that I really don't care who it is. I would like to see this culminate in a heel turn by Adam Rose, with the elimination of the PG Ho-Train in the process, but there are plenty of ways this could have been done not involving wrestlers in plush costumes.

If the Bunny turns out to be someone like Justin Gabriel or Darren Young, it's going to be a heel turning Adam Rose versus a guy who's been a jobber for an extended period of time. I can't see how being the bunny could elevate one of these guys to a position of greater significance, and I don't personally see how this would interest me in the Adam Rose heel turn.

If it turns out to be an NXT guy such as Zayn, I see this as a terrible way to debut an otherwise impressive young talent. Plus, this would likely involve either seeing the recently turned Rose lose his first feud as a heel. Or it would mean having a young guy with a bright future start their career going from a Halloween costume to a debut loss. No thanks on either count.

Personally I'm so tired of the cartoony aspect of WWE. It reminds me too much of the pre-Attitude Era product. I wasn't interested in garbagemen, Goons, and tricycle riding clowns back then (excluding heel Doink of course, which was awesome). And I'm not interested in Bunnies, bulls, and Hornswoggles (in any capacity) now. End the Adam Rose versus the Bunny nonsense now, that's the only way I want to see this go down.

lol, Darren Young can't be the bunny! The bunny looked lighter skinned when we saw his arms.

Whenever the reveal of the Bunny occurs, it could be absolutely whoever they want it to be. I would imagine that over the course of the last few weeks or months, several different athletes have worn the stupid bunny costume. Whoever it is ultimately revealed to be will not necessarily be the same person who has been wearing that costume each and every week. The night you could see his light skinned arms was clearly not Darren Young. That by no means rules him out as the ultimate reveal.

Plus, your spam post (which I'll let slide by this time) misses the point of my post. For me it doesn't matter who it is. The point of the thread is how do they make the angle work. And my point is that it simply doesn't work, regardless of who is revealed to be inside the ridiculous suit. It is a flawed angle from start to finish. It doesn't matter if it is Darren Young, Adrian Neville, or Joe Blow.

Abort mission... I'm surprised they have allowed the Bunny interferences and segments for as long as they have. Adam Rose/the man playing Adam Rose obviously fits better naturally as a heel, but no one will come out of this looking good. Adam Rose will not come out looking particularly dangerous or villainous after taking out the bunny, and whomever they "reveal as the bunny" if they do will not come out looking good either. The Bunny humping Rose is insult to injury.

Once again, shocked this hasn't been axed and is still dragging out. I like Adam Rose/Leo Kruger as a wrestler and he is actually pretty charismatic off camera, it's a shame he's going to have to take a bullet for this one and get a lengthy repackaging or a long role as a comedy jobber if they choose to stick with him.

Whoa, that counted as spam? Even though I was directly responding to one of your claims? Maybe I shouldn't feel so guilty for my wall-of-text posts then...Anyway, yeah I guess you're right. WWE could care less about continuity. It is definitely a broken angle.

Honestly, the big way to salvage it is to resurrect Fandango's old gimmick- the weird guy who is likely weird enough to do something as silly as dress up in a bunny costume. I didn't even think of the possibility of Zayn or Neville being the bunny. That would be even more ridiculous as there would be no reason for them to act like Adam Rose's pet...which is another thing.

Michael Cole likes to remind us that it's just a dude in a suit...But he literally acts like a wounded animal whenever Rose hit him. Does this imply that the bunny is Rose's pet? If the bunny got pissed off and pushed back like a normal person, then we could buy that he's a wrestler having fun in a bunny costume. But now I'm wondering if there is some weird sexual fetish going on in that bus...Now THAT would be a storyline.

If any of you knew anything about wrestling history you would know about the proud tradition of Furry wrestling and how devastating it is for a Furry to lose his headpiece. This feud may be leading to that and if we see it on WWE it will be a monumental first on American television.

That being said, I don't think this "feud" is meant to be discussed by anyone over the age of 11. It is not meant to get anyone over with the crowd. WWE has apparently given up on Adam Rose's gimmick and their just dragging it out for the kids.

Well, it can work if the bunny goes on a rampage after taking off his mask like Kane did. Haha but seriously, I think it can lead to something good if the bunny is revealed to be a maniac like say, The Boogeyman for instance, instead of a joke like Santino or Fandango. Like someone else said, it doesn't matter that we saw one inch of his arm and figured it's a white guy playing the role; they can reveal it as whoever they feel appropriate.

Kill adam rose off... Worst gimmick, idiotic dancing. BUNNY?!!
Bring back Leo Kruger. The baddest HEEL!

If only they had debuted him as leo kruger.
Would have feuding w/ ic or us title.

Its a filler feud and nothing more, so I don't expect huge things out of it. Its a program designed to fill five or ten minutes a show and maybe get Rose, a guy they did invest a decent amount of time in at the beginning of the year, a little more over or potentially turn him. The bunny may even be used to debut a new or returning superstar. With the recent announcement by Sami Zayn on NXT that he would quit NXT if he lost to Neville at the next NXT Takeover, it could possibly be a way to debut Zayn. I hope that isn't the case, but you never know with the WWE.

About a month ago, I was really intrigued by who might be in the Bunny suit. Now, I change the channel when Adam Rose has a match. Agree with the poster above that this angle is just some b.s. that creative wrote for the kids. Honestly, kids probably think it's absolutely hilarious when the Bunny does anything to Adam Rose. The problem is that under no circumstances should we be trying to cater a wrestling show to people who are 5x younger than the average WWE fan. The kids are already at a wrestling show, why do we need to feed them cartoons? They could've stayed home to watch that. Let them watch wrestling. They already love Cena, they don't need a hero in cosplay.

It's already way past time for a reveal, so I don't know what the payoff would be for Rose vs. the Bunny at this point. If it was purely written for the sake of putting over Rose as a heel, then whatever. But I hope for all of our sakes that they don't try to actually reveal the Bunny as being one of their wrestlers. It somehow would make jobbers like Santino or Justin Gabriel look even WORSE.

Personally, I think Rose's entire gimmick was destined to fail. Just look at Fandango. When something real gimmicky like that debuts, people love it for a few weeks. Remember when "Fandango-ing" was popular for like a week? I was re-watching the Money in the Bank PPV on the network a few days ago, and people were actually chanting Rose's theme music during his match with Damien Sandow. People barely cared then and they sure as heck don't care now. Fandango was too silly of a gimmick and Rose is even more silly. Silly gimmicks work for two weeks and then fall flat on their face.

I don't really think this angle is this bad. I know everyone disagrees and that's fine by me, I just don't see it as this atrocious. The Adam Rose character(which I hate) is about partying and having a good time. The last month or so, one of his Rosebuds(which I hate) have gotten carried away in his matches. The bunny has more fun during the matches than I do that's for sure!

I wasn't so big on this when Adam started attacking the bunny, I figured this would be a way to maybe bring in a partner for Adam(like a Darren Young or Justin Gabriel, both guys who need something almost as bad as Rose) which I was all for. It would save 2 midcard guys and maybe help build them up as a viable tag team.

Then he started attacking the bunny, so now it's a feud? The problem here is I don't care about Adam Rose, the mystery of the bunny could still be decent but I can't wait for months to find out. Adam Rose is like lower lower midcard and whoever the bunny is, is lower than that. But from what I've heard Adam is a good wrestler? Maybe they could make it work.

I just don't see why people act like the bunny gimmick will kill whoever is inside the costume at reveal time. How many horrible gimmicks did Kevin Nash get? Nash would probably be the best comparison here! Just think about him as Oz, horrible character right? Yet years later he's world champ in a different gimmick. I'm not saying whoever they book to be the bunny will be, but it's not a death slip on their career.

How do you make the feud work? You sure as hell don't put Darren Young under the mask after the humping thing. So let's put Justin Gabriel under there. Next week on Raw Rose loses because of the bunny again. I picture it Rose v Ziggler #1 contender match for the IC title. Ziggler wins and runs off, Rose says enough is enough and unmasks the bunny just to see Justin Gabriel standing there. I doubt the crowd would be shocked but I mean, it's an idea.

Next week(because none of my fantasy feuds take place on Smackdown!) on Raw Rose comes out, no Rosebuds and gets a mic and cuts maybe a 1 minute promo asking why Gabriel attacked him. Simple promo. Gabriel comes out and says that back when they were a tag team(I heard somewhere they were, not certain but I'm running with it) Gabriel pulled all the weight(or he knew he was the brighter star). Or! You can say screw it making sense and Gabriel says he wants one match between the two of them to decide which one is better. Some heel team interferes and Gabriel and Rose make a team. It's not unfixable, you'd just have to downplay the bunny after about 2 weeks of the reveal
