Did Adam Rose get squashed?

A few weeks back, I was surprised when Adam Rose came out to harass Stephanie. It made me wonder if after feuding with Titus and Slater, he was going to get some sort of push...Dumb logic on my part, as Sandow also had a bit with her, but that's what I thought at the time. Then she had him fight Kane and...wow, he was decimated. It wasn't even a match as much as it was a beatdown.

This means quite a lot as Kane hasn't beaten anyone relevant in a singles match for...months? Even after he got credit (in-story) for taking Daniel Bryan out of the picture, he continued to job in both matches and basic brawls. Corporate Kane somehow even loses more...and yet he was fed a wrestler who was undefeated (on TV). Since then, he's been MIA (on TV). Some had speculated that Rose was only being used to push the Bunny, but that doesn't make sense as the bunny fled- abandoning his friends- like a heel would.

So do you think this will lead to some sort of angle? Will Rose and the Bunny feud with Kane? Or did they decide to either axe the character or reduce him to a jobber (Big E style), while hoping to give Kane some credibility. I'm personally fine with squashing Rose because I find him to be annoying and I don't like how he gets away with certain heel moves. I feel Kane loses too often for someone so prominent.

This is something I don't quite understand myself. Why did WWE make him seemingly unbeatable, and then all of a sudden kick him aside? I don't like his matches when he initially debuted, and as time dragged on, although his matches improved a little, his character died a slow death along with it. I really couldn't care less about him now, but the way WWE operates is sometimes quite puzzling.

Kane used to be prominent but he should get out of the ring and do it soon. If there is one wrestler on the roster that I'm most sick of it's him. There hasn't been one main event match in the last couple of months, he hasn't either been involved or interfered in.

He has become Rollins bitch, and what a let down. He went from being a monster heel to a babysitter. I don't mind corporate Kane but get the hell out of the ring.

As for Rose and the Bunny, I didn't see the match you're talking about, thank God. Using Kane was probably payback cause that's what Stephanie likes to do so not surprised there. Doubtful it will lead to a feud and the Rose character isn't getting over with the fans. They like his song and the Bunny, but not him.

In fact, the rumor mill was spitting out reports that Vince McMahon had quickly given up on the Adam Rose concept....and sure enough, he and his band of fools disappeared from our TV screens for a few weeks. When they returned, the wascal wabbit was part of the troupe, which made me wonder if the Rose Bowl would have been gone altogether had someone not come up with the rabbit.

Does someone want to push the rabbit? I can't see it, can you? What would he do, have a program with Duke "the Dumpster" Droese?

At any rate, I hesitate to make a prediction on whether Adam Rose is finished, given that I was wrong once already. But it's true that having Kane squash him doesn't bode well for his future.

After all, no one ever promised him a Rose garden.

Well Kane killed a bunch of Rose's crew, so that may be a telling tale. Rose never got off the ground (not really his fault) so rather than getting cut, hopefully he'll be repackaged. Admittedly, I never saw his Leo Kruger stuff, which I've read is pretty damn good. He'd seem like the perfect candidate to turn into a Wyatt disciple, kind of like how Venis and Godfather fell under Steven Richards and the Right to Censor. I don't know, just an idea

Rosebuds were few and far between. There are comedy people that are way better than Rose is. Sadly, Rose is going to go away and get repackaged in NXT. I hope they shave his head and make him a Col. DeBeers-type character.

Just some crazy thoughts that I have no proof or anything of the sort, but I thinking he might've gotten some heat on him. His last appearance before that Kane match was on Raw was that thing with Hoda and Kathie Lee where the crowd reacted....rather unfavorably to the segment.

Now I'm thinking that the 2 celebs aren't too happy about being booed and there was probably at least 1 very unpleasant conversation we didn't see. Even more so was the fact that it was for charity, which couldn't have made any of the higher ups happy. And since Adam Rose was supposed to be the popular face that they spent lots of extra money bringing in extra people to essentially do nothing for a few minutes every time he shows up, yet he couldn't do anything to stop their charity supporting guests from being booed. So if there was a need for a fall guy he would be the most obvious candidate.

Not that I'm saving it was his fault at all, quite frankly I don't think anyone on the active roster could've salvaged that terrible segment. You would've needed the Rock right then and there and even then that would've been a challenge if everything else played out the same way. But with Rose getting squashed the night after and not being seen ever since? The timing fits. Of course I have no idea if this theory is true or not, I could very well be wrong and we'll see Rose on Sunday and back on TV from then on.

The thing is Kane is still meant to be an A-lister... but he's not been used that way for a while, so the way to recharge him is to feed him someone like Rose. If Kane is a monster, he HAS to destroy someone every now and then for it to work... and this time it was Rose's turn to be fed to someone.

I can see the logic of it being punishment but the reality is if you're doing a charity segment during the Komen time, you don't pick a celeb/duo who actually want to promote another charity and you don't pick two lame women from a talk show, especially on a show where you KNOW the Rock is gonna be out later... when it was Regis and Kathy-Lee at least Regis was charismatic and into it enough to make the segments work. You just don't pin the charity stuff on people like that.

It'd be very harsh if Rose is cut or repackaged, it's not a bad gimmick all told, he's just being given crap to do and basically being a schill for whatever they're hocking that week... even since his debut with the Twisted Tea crap and they got cheap over the original song, that was a BIG part of the success and they don't have the rights cos Vince won't pay what the band want... so they do a hash of it and it's not the same guy who wowed NXT.

A few tweaks, like a heel turn but similar gimmick he's back on track.... have him start saying stuff like "This is MY party and you're not invited" and attacking the Bunny and just be more of a dick... have him join with Tyler Breeze, Miz and Mizdow as a stable... Call them the Entourage or the A-List.

Rose isn't actually a bad wrestler if they would just let him go back to the Kruger character. All this party nonsense is just that nonsense and really takes away from what he can do.

I'm really hoping that the Bunny turns out to be Justin Gabriel and when he's unmasked, we can see a new tag team. Between the two of them they could be pretty good and at least make a run for the tag titles. Unfortunately for Rose I think it's the only title he has a shot at in the WWE.

I don't necessarily like the gimmick personally, but in my opinion, this gimmick seems better suited for a heel. The segment with Kane was awesome! I'm glad that Rose hasn't been seen for weeks on Raw now.

I honestly think they don't have anything to do with him right now. It's slowly creeping to WrestleMania season and the quality of the programming is starting to pick up.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him in a random match on Smackdown to make Rusev look strong, or wrestling on Superstars.

It wasn't any kind of legitimate angle. I think it was just a way of reducing him to jobber status, which he was basically at already. His gimmick is goofy to start with, his matches are extremely dull for a character who's supposed to be all about energy/partying & because he wasn't getting over himself all his goofy "Rosebuds" started to steal the limelight & then it became all about the stupid Bunny which was pretty much the nail in the coffin already IMO.

But I can see WWE keeping him around as a solid jobber, maybe they'll stick him in a tag team with somebody like Zack Ryder & make a partying tag team.

How can you even think about Adam Rose as a character worthy of a push is beyond me.

It was obvious from the first vignette that he was never going to amount to anything in the WWE. He's prolly gonna be one of the first to get his walking papers when the next round of firings come. As I dont see someone who is 35 and stuck with a ..I guess.."metrosexual-slightly-gay-overly-girly-party-boy?" gimmick going anywhere in the next year. Only reason they even created the gimmick was to replicate "AND THE FANS ARE FANDANGOING".

If he was to beat Kane, what then? A feud between Adam Rose and Kane? Is that one of those "We think we know better about what you want to see" situations? I'm glad he isn't on TV atm. We have enough crap as it is.

In addition, whoever in the creative department thought that bunny shit was even remotely entertaining should be shot in the knee caps and forced to walk on his knees for an indefinite amount of time.
