Abraham Washington: Is he working?

I think he is entertaining and all, but he takes up WAY too much air time, and this gives less time for matches and promos, which makes it hard for other superstars too get over and develop their characters. Either ECW needs a little more running time, or Washington's show needs too be cut, or drastically shortened. Maybe make him GM so it gives him a little better organized time instead of taking up alot of space that could be allocated better.

From what I saw last week, he's working as a commentator...This also means he doesn't get a "show" to take up time during the hour that ECW gets. I know it's not a permanent move, at least not for the moment, but it shows he has the ability to entertain without being annoying.

I never liked his segments, but he fit in well as a commentator...Makes me wonder why they didn't put him there all along...

The commentator that took Matt Striker's spot last week was not Abraham Washington.

:glare: I just looked it up, and saw it was some guy Byron Saxton...He was good as a commentator. I didn't catch the first few minutes, so when I saw the commentators, I figured it was Washington.

I was hoping it was him also, so that we wouldn't have to sit through any more of his stupid segments...His mini-segment with Jericho was good, but the lack of any length helped a bit. Tony Atlas looked pretty stupid standing with him too...

There have clearly been better "talk show" segments in wrestling history. Washington, however, does what he needs to do, which is to be an arrogant talk show host type, to further storylines and never actually get involved. Like Darth Sidious said, there is room for improvement, but if WWE intends to keep him in this role, there is a fine line to walk between getting a storyline over and taking it over when not actually involved. I will say that his segment got 100 times more entertaining when Tony Atlas became his announcer/lackey.
