This is very akin to their T20 win in 2007. A completely young side top to bottom, and they go all the way in a nail biting final then too.

One great thing about the Indian team is that they have proper batsmen and bowlers, rather than depending on bits-and-pieces players to do a bit of both.

Of course, Jadeja is the exception, but he is not called Sir Ravindra Jadeja for no reason.

Also the fact that so many of the veterans have left. No Gambhir, Yuvi, Sehwag, Sachin, Zaheer and yet one of the most convincing Indian team performance in a tourney for a long time.

I don't think that any one bowler will be able to replace him. With Zaheer, it was pretty much the only fast-bowling option that India had for a long period.
Now with Bhuwaneshwar, Ishanth and Umesh, India has more that one option. May be a combination of these guys may replace Zaheer.

Ye but I'd still love a fast bowling pair. I don't see anyone on the horizon really who would compliment Ishant.

It will be interesting to see if India kick on this time.

If I remember rightly, they went to pieces after their last big win and it must be remembered that they appeared at this tournament in very little form so it could easily be a flash in the pan rather than the start of something great.

The next major series for India is the tour of SA. Will be very interesting to see how they hold up, especially in the Tests.
