A New Year for ECW

OK time to fix it up. (ECW), Now be 4 I get heat 4 this post or it get's lock and I get baned or some thing. It's a new year so going in to the new year let's fix it. Now I know 90% of you hate it or think it sux well it's A new year who you bring in or what would you do, who would you let go. the Name keep it the same or what?.


1ST off All ECW Original Push them because if you lose the original's you can't call it ECW not that it is ut you know what I'm saying.this is what I'm thinking.
!)After Lashy I think, Test or Snitsky will be champ some time this year so give Sandman, Sabu, Tommy Dreammer. a wining shot at the title.

2)The Great Khali why is he in wrestling I tryed to like him but no he F-ing sux
Daivari doesn't need him. OK the tow who should be kind of like them is Sylvester Terkay & Elijah Burke now that's a bad ass team.

3)Matt Striker - I would put him & Michelle McCool togheter I think as togheter they could be top heel's in ECW hell they can even put Idol Stevens & K.C. James they can be the "teacher's pets".

4) TV & TAG TEAM TITLE's just look at the old ECW The DUDLEY's and how it helped them,And RVD AND Ryhno AS TV champs.

5)They Need to go 2HR. and need to stick with Storys and Feuds this helps and is the only way to keep us watching.

6) They need to keep RVD most of all, and they should do all in there power to get Rhyno from TNA and 4-give him and push him hardcore.

7) Now they need to just give paul back ECW Because he is the blood that flows in ECW.

Now I can go on and on and on but I will let some one else lay it down.

Yeah it would be nice to fix wwECW as to the way we would like it but it's Vince McMahon we're talking about. He won't change shit just because a few old school ECW fans are pissed off. He doesn't care. He obviously thinks Black Goldberg (Lashley) and rejects like Snitsky and Test have more drawing power than Sabu, RVD, Tommy Dreamer and Sandman. Vince also obviously doesn't know how to run a company.

I watched ONS II last night and it's sad to think that when Heyman came out and told everyone ECW was coming back, he probably thought it was going to be like it was. We all bought the lie and I'm sure all along Vince knew that wwECW was going to be nothing more than a third rate show with rejects that he could never possibly get over dominating the brand. Plus it doesn't help that he has bonefide morons like Kevin Dunn and his ****e daughter telling him what would be best for the brand.

Vince had his chance to make this something special. He had all the opporitunity in the world in front of him to make ECW the top wrestling show on TV but instead he does away with all the things that made ECW so special. You don't tape the show in front of a Smackdown audience. You run shows in the original ECW markets. You don't add rejects to the brand. You don't do away with ECW rules. You don't get rid of the original refs. You don't fire Stephen DeAngelis. And you most certainly do not take away Heyman's power then blame him for the mistake called December To Dismember, then removing him all together from the creative team.

We all know that the only way to save this miserable excuse for a brand is by bringing back Heyman and giving him 100% complete control over the product, tape the shows in the Ballroom and the ECW arena and then watch as ECW again becomes the #1 American promotion, because let's face it, WWF and WCW were 2 and 3 back when ECW was at its best.

you know, it is just plain finished...they need to just change the name...it is never going to work, no way McMahon is gonna change it for the better, and when i say better i mean running in the bingo halls, letting the fans decide who gets over, or letting the wrestlers give us their blood sweat and tears like the cliche they all like to rattle off...i gave the new version of ECW an honest open minded chance, and i even bought into Big Show as champ, but i guess i was just wasting my time...
i seen a little bit a couple weeks ago, when Lashley cut a promo, and i decided then and there that's it...this is god f'n awful

i started buying ROH dvds recently, and THAT has brought me out of my rut...after watching 4 of their shows, i honestly think i am going to make a concentrated effort NOT to watch WWE programming anymore...its sad really i have been loyal WWF/E fan since 1987, but i just cant stand any of it anymore...ECW is gone, and is never coming back, dont reward WWE by tuning in on Tuesday nights...buy ROH instead

I agree. Ive been watching the Ring of Honor DVDs and went to a the ROH show when it came to Chicago and it had a original ECW feeling. I really hope it takes off.

ROH becoming a big force in the American wrestling scene would be a dream come true. It's the best promotion out there now and with a tv deal it could become huge. CZW also needs a tv deal.

As much as I have tried not to criticise and been as optimistic and patient as I can with it, and as hypocritical as this is being, I am sick and tired of the fuss that the WWE is making with ECW. I now know it is a dead product that should not be getting all the WWE talent going there or even getting storylines. It has dried up the talent in OVW/ DSW and is one of the main reasons that inexperienced wrestlers are becoming more prominent on our screens. There is not enough competition in the WWE anymore, simply because there is too little on each show. I am not being critical of the fact that it is not emulating the old ECW or even having the same feel to it, I am being critical of the way it is ruining the WWE and shortening the tolerance of many fans (mostly the Internet Wrestling Community.) As a 1 hour show, it has very little to offer and yet is still getting a whole score of wrestlers who could be developing their talents in a lesser company like OVW and some great young talents that should be used in a show that matters, but instead the WWE has had to compensate for this by bringing in several inexperienced wrestlers and losing the real main eventers to what we all really knew was just a second rate program and now losing people to TNA. Nearly all big name stars have winded up wanting out of WWE just for being on ECW: Kurt Angle, Sabu, RVD, Big Show (maybe) and now the brainchild and 1 person who could have held it together, Paul Heyman, is gone. This show doesn't even warrant a separate thread collection, or even a thread. It is ruining the quality of the WWE, and instead of changing the name or any other useless suggestion, I say this ECW should be shot, burnt, locked in an airtight coffin, buried 30 feet underground and never look at it or even mention it again. I am that sick of this stupid product that is overrated and overused by a company that is disregarding even the marks opinions on this one. Hopefully the end will be sooner rather than later...And just to add to the topic, why bother changing anything? You know that the WWE wants to push the new guys and the originals have had it with the WWE so I think any suggestion is pointless. A new year won't help this piece of crap. I enjoy watching Heat twice as much as I do watching ECW.

Here is what I think WWE should do with ECW to make it survive....

First off no more weekly TV show... Yeah this sounds crazy but here is what they do. On every RAW and SD! have a couple ECW Matches... Nothing but ECW guys wrestle in these matches and push storylines further and further. So in an essence it would be a show within a show. Then you have a monthly 2 hour ECW special on Sci-Fi where the feuds get heated up and so on. I think this would work becasue alot of people who watch Raw and SD don't watch ECW and this way they would have more of a chance to see it. Then hopefully by having a monthly show and having these ECW matches more people who don't watch ECW will be inclinced to tune in and eventually lead to WWE giving us a better product becasue nothing speaks louder to a company then the power of the people.

Secondly.... WWE would need to bring Heyman back and give him COMPLETE control of ECW. The truth of the matter is no one can run it like him. Stephanie is a moron... Vince doesn't care about the product. SO give Heyman full control and make it Extreme.No count outs no dq's and so fourth. Yeah ECW had it's fair share of Extreme but there was actually wrestling matches in ECW that never went extreme which most people for forget.

Thrid.... Talent... Got to keep RVD... He would be spectacular in TNA no doubt, but ECW needs him. Then to make things more interesting and bring something to ECW lets bring in CHRIS JERICHO! Yea thats right ECW IS JERICHO! Have him come in talk shit to Lalashley calling him nothing but a Bill Goldberg/Brock Lesner rip-off. Have them feud, then put the strap on Jericho then have him feud with RVD for alittle while...Which could be a great feud. Also on the talent spectrum bring back the TV title. Alot of the lesser guys could fight for it..Striker,Snitsky,Thorne,Burke,Terkay,Davari,Sandman, Dreamer... It could be a real intresting title. Also lose that big dumb bastard Great Khalil... He has no value to wrestling what so ever..

So there is my three step plan for ECW

your step one won't happen again. the 'show within a show' is what originally lead to the brand extension after wwe bought wcw and had wcw on raw during the invasion.

step 2. i think will be a cold day in hell before heyman comes back let alone given full creative control of ecw to make it 'extreme'.and Yea stephanie is a moron.

step 3.rvd will probably be leaving unless wwe takes him off their shitlist. Chris Jericho as ECW champion would be a good idea if he wasnt the first wwe 'UNDISPUTED' champ.How can someone go from being an undisputed champ to the champ of the reject brand (even with jericho being gone for a few years now)IMO jericho is too big of a star to even be on ecw (in its current state).He is lightyears ahead of the current champ lashley (imo) micwise and movewise.


Ecw just needs renamed to wcw .that way theres nothing to tarnish because wcw died dragging its name in the mud.

SO what if Jericho was the first undisputed champ. This guy was one of the greatest wrestlers in the last 50 years and he leaves to go persue rock n roll full time! What a mistake... The only reason his band had any fans was becasue he was a wrestler... Now his band is pretty much done for and he s pretty much all but an after thought to the casual WWE fan... But the people who really understand the product (Smart marks) would love to see Jericho back. He could come into ECW win the belt and create a rukus on either RAW or SD generating more viewership for ECW... Chris Jericho is one of the most electric personalties to ever wrestle and by him showing up on diffrent shows people would be like "Lets watch ECW to see what else this guy can do."

ECW is only that in name. There is nothing that resembles the real ECW except for a few great wrestlers that have held on to the hope that the magic would return. Vince McMahon had no interest in reviving ECW as it was. He used the One Night Stand PPV's and the ECW video library to make himself more money. I have and will faithfully (as painful as it is) continue to watch Vince's ECW every week until RVD, Sabu, Dreamer and the Sandman all depart for better things. They are the ONLY reason why I watch and once they are gone Vince can be damn sure that I won't be tuning in.

It would be my guess that RVD is going to to TNA once his contract is up and if that happens then I'm pretty sure Sabu will go back as well. Dreamer will always have his office job and Sandman doesn't need to wrestle anymore, ever. Hell, Sandman only came back as a favor to Paul and the rest of the originals. I'm sure though that Sandman likes to be in front of an audience though and will probably stick around until either his contract is up or if he is offered an extension, but I don't even know if he would sign one at this point.

I watched ONS II a few nights ago and it's sad to think that when Paul came out and addressed the crowd that he probably thought ECW was going to be like it was. Damn you Vince! I hope your ****e daughter chokes on HHH's cock and you have a case of explosive digestion!

I never said Jericho coming back would be a bad thing just not in the current state of ecw. wwECw needs to improve its roster's mic and wrestling skills as well as establish main eventer's mid carder's and jobbers. Everyone just seems lumped together to me.
Hell i think Jericho would be better on Raw beating Cena for the title myself.

Yes ECW needs to establish Main Eventers, Mid-Carders, and Jobbers.. The first step in doing that would be bring Jericho in as the top guy. he has mic sklills,athletic ablity, and everything needed for ECW to have it's first main guy... You said ECW needs to improve there mic skills.. Well jericho would be great to have around becasue he is great at cutting a promo and guys could learn from him. I mean Punk has the most credblity of any ECW New Blood then everyone else and he can cut one hell of a promo if given the chance. That feud would help any company as long as it was built up properly.Yes Punk is probably one of the best out of the 'new breed unleashed' but as with the rest of the 'better ones' hes still needs some fine tuning maybe a feud of that caliber would teach him a thing or 2.

That would just bring the 'prestige' of the title down another notch. It was hotshot to Lashley (was it his 2nd ecw match?) and then hotshot it to jericho. What is this ? a game of hot potato? There was a time (a long time ago in a galaxy far far away)when the ecw title meant something. I don't see Lashley going back to smackdown or going to RAW.Unless he improves leaps and bounds I see him going to OVW or DSW for some more training,micwork after he loses the belt.

Oh and another thing .. ECW is Jericho doesnt sound as good as RAW is Jericho

There is about the same chance of Jericho coming back, as there is of The Rock coming back, so honestly I think its a bit of a mute point, good thing or not, it isn't going to happen.

I dont get what all the fuss is about, ECW is fine... if you want to watch Kahli vs. Lashley for the ECW World Championship.

Your right Jericho isn't coming back.. THe point of this thread was a NEW YEAR FOR ECW and I was giving what I thought to be ideas that could be for a new year. As far as Jericho coming back I do doubt it... But I do beleive there i a better shot in the future for Jericho to comeback then The Rock... The Rocks career after wrestling has been a sucess..Jericho not so much
