A math test I'm almost positive only 5% of you will pass

I'd lose too. I learned all my math terminology in spanish. If the symbols aren't there, I won't be able to figure it out probably.

25 is the correct answer if we go by the fact that a square number is the square of an integer. Otherwise every single answer is correct.

I hope for the audience's sake that they got confused with the wording of the question or else you are looking at a really dumb bunch of people.

A square number is a square of an integer. That's what it means, otherwise it would be a meaningless definition as all numbers are something squared. Perfect square is a less used phrase meaning the same thing. The answer is and can only be 25 because 3,4 and 5 are a Pythagorean triplet.

Also, nobody in academia has used QED since about 1920, so don't do that whoever did.

Better than million pound drop who got a wuestion half wrong last night as well. Bitches.

Then what's the purpose of having the term "perfect square?" Wouldn't the word "perfect" imply that there is something imperfect that it is being compared to?

Perfection cannot exist without imperfection, otherwise it just becomes the normality

Perfect square isn't an actual thing. Nobody in the maths world would say that.

That one contains the best "perfect square" line - "For emphasis, such a number is sometimes referred to as a perfect square, but this could cause confusion with the concept of perfect number, so its use is discouraged."

Feel free to admit you're wrong and apologise to all these people for wasting their time, celador for dissing their quiz and the number 25 for doubting it's special status.
