I just knew people would be voting for the utter garbage that is Our Lady Peace, what a shocker. Over Prince.

FUCKING PRINCE.

Maybe I'm the only one that remembers the decade of the 80s, but Prince ruled that decade. He created some of the most fun, energetic, and catchy music ever, fusing funk with pop with hard rock and dance, and the results were always irrestible.

Not to mention how very underrated of a guitar player Prince is. One of the greats. Yeah, that's right, I said it. Go watch some of his live work and tell me your jaw isn't on the floor. You'd be lying.

Explain yourself people! Why are you voting for another run-of-the-mill generic 90s alt-rock band over one of the most popular musicians of all time with a catalogue of work that puts most other rock bands of his era to absolute shame. I don't get it.

Why in the Fuck isn't Prince blowing this thing out? It's amazing that people totally ignore Prince. As X said, his guitar work is fantastic, no fan fucking tastic. The guy on the axe is insanely good.

Personally Prince shouldn't be in the 90's region, he should be in the 80's. As X said, Prince, along with Madonna and Michael Jackson, were the face of music during the 80's. Prince should win this one hand down, Our Lady Peace is very mediocre.

True son. Prince should be winning, merely because he's Prince. It's like Elton John or Billy Joel. He's a lock for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if he isn't in already. I was never a big fan, but I can appreciate his impact on culture. Furthermore, I REALLY liked his performance at the Super Bowl halftime show this year.

But the real reason I'm voting for Prince is because I got to sit next to one of his former bass players on a plane ride to Italy. He was AWESOME. He was this sweet black dude with a fro and a huge Maryland Terrapins t-shirt, and he was pretty drunk the whole time. He also decided that it would be a good idea to take his laptop out and start recording music on the flight during the lights out hours. HAHAHA. What a guy!

I'm not really a fan of Prince, but he's easily made a bigger impact on the musical industry than Our Lady Peace. He ruled the '80s along with Michael Jackson. No one could touch him back then. While I prefer Our Lady Peace, most people, outside of former Chris Benoit fans, don't even know who they are.

Prince, no contest. The guy is an amazing musician. There's not many people in the music industry who are as multi-talented as him, nor as muscially diverse. Everything from Purple Rain through to Sign o' the Times are classic albums which I'll never get bored of. The guys a legend and very influential, not to mention a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Our Lady Peace are nothing but a mere shitstain on the worse Prince album.

i'm not a big fan of the diminutive one, but the fact that people still know how he is, and know some of his work is a sign that Prince is probably one of the most influential musicians of his time.
Add to that the fact that Our Lady Peace are so reknowned i've never heard anyone even mention them before and i think i'd be justified to vote Prince

Our lady peace was never really that good, where as Prince had several big hits in the 80's. While is is arguable that Prince's popularity has gone down over the last few years, his songs are not soon forgotten

Therefore I give my vote to Prince
