i've voted against them twice already, and this makes number 3. The fact is, Nirvana are probably the most iconic band of the 90s and defined the sound of the generation. Velvet Revolver are simply a repackaged, poor reproduction of Guns N'Roses without Axl Rose. 3 Top 10s in US charts, none in the UK, as opposed to Nirvana with 7 from the same chart. Hell, Smells like Teen Spirit is the best known anthem of the 90s and it barely broke Top 10 in UK. And yet they remain the band that best defined the last decade
