What crap. Really people? System of a Down? Fucking terrible. Another band that tries to be political and accomplishes nothing while enlightening no one. Just crap.

Versus Sonic Youth, gods of alt-rock. Why do I have to explain why Sonic Youth deserves to win this? These guys were one of the original grunge/alternative-rock bands while also being one of the most experimental bands of it's era. Some of those experiments were failures, but most were great and challenging. They opened up the doors to the experimental rock that followed by mega-stars like Radiohead and Coldplay. It all started back here with Sonic Youth (though the Shoegazer scene with bands like My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus & Mary Chain should also be given credit).

Sonic Youth > SOAD any fucking day of the week.
