It's so cheap to just buy DVD's these days that video shops aren't nowhere near as popular as they once were. I remember I used to go and rent a video every saturday. I used tto ask my mother for Frankenhooker, but I got An American Tail. Not because I knew what a hooker was at that age. But because the box are was so much cooler. It could have been some straight to video crap for all I cared. But I wanted to watch it. The box are for the final few Nightmare On Elm Street films didn't make them look like the crappy comedy horror films that they were. They looked like some seriously scary shit. I say bring back 80's video covers for DVDs. Ok so the likes of The Dark Knight & Transformers wouldn't benefit from the groovy, dated artwork. But Van Damme, Segal & Lundgren need them to return.
