This entire day of voting is a sick tragedy. The Beastie Boys over Sting? Couple that with Dream Theatre losing to Weezer and Queensryche losing to Springsteen, I think this may be one of the single worst collections of rock voting imaginable.

Ok, I get it - The Beasties were talented innovators of rap-rock. That can ONLY take you so far. Innovative yes, but HORRIBLE musicians! They took repetitive power chords and simple beats, put stupid lyrics to them, and played up the white kid angle and wound up with mainstream success. By that formula, why is Saliva out of this?

Sting was so much more talented musically than the Beasties EVER were. EVEN when you subtract the work he did with The Police. His solo work was FAR superior to many solo artists who came from big bands.

SO come on, people - vote for Sting here.
