Reigns isnt quite ready.....yet. Its inevitable that he will be champ pretty soon, possibly as early as summerslam. He has been improving and regaining alot of the fans he had pre shove down our throats Reigns phase.

A strong feud with Bray, plus another solid feud or two for reigns and then he should b ready. Id b ok with him winning it at wm32(just dont have win the rumble.....)

For one, how has he "singe handedly" won the audience back? He's sucked energy off of Daniel Bryan and quite a bit off of Dean Ambrose, just saying.

I say personally almost any guy with the right gimmick, dance partners and set up could be world champion. That being said, Reigns' gimmick might not be perfect, but his dance partner list is pretty nice right now(Rollins, Wyatt, Sheamus, etc) and his set up is being built correctly. So I see no reason why he couldn't work as champion, but as face. I really can't say for certain. Being the face is different. You figure to be champion you just need a couple guys who could make you look good while you have the belt but to be the face, you have to be able to make everyone look good. Can Reigns do that, I think down the line he might but not at this juncture.

But let me just say, I'm not bought in on the audience forgiving him and genuinely liking the guy yet. Maybe why he's getting cheered more is because the fans are thinking WWE has pulled off on him, but the moment they think he's being forced again, let the booing commence. I mean think about what Reigns' has done since the Rumble, he beat Daniel Bryan(a great thing) but lost to Lesnar(technically he didn't lose but he surely didn't win), he beat Big Show(okay...) and has lost multiple title matches/MitB matches since. The crowd has every reason to believe the WWE is done pushing him. I mean he's feuding with Bray now who just got done feuding with Ryback, an absent Taker and Ambrose months before that.

I'll buy that, yet the more time that goes by, the more credibility he's building for himself......an asset that should withstand the occasional setback, such as when he gets in a substandard feud or misses a moment in an important match. Fans can see how hard he's working and how much he's improving.

Yes, I agree the audience picked up on the fact he was pushed too hard, too fast....yet we shouldn't think all the people in the arena are a bunch of knowledgeable fans of wrestling; in the immortal words of Gorilla Monsoon, most of 'em "....wouldn't know a wristlock from a wristwatch." :) They boo & cheer because they hear others doing it.....and it adds to whatever noise the crowd is making.

Still, while none of it was Roman's fault (what was he gonna say to WWE management....."Slow it down! You're featuring me too much. I'm not ready to be world champion. Whoa!!!") that the fans wouldn't let WWE get away with it fell entirely upon Roman. That he picked himself up and improved greatly since then is the strongest factor in his favor.

But that's the point. He's putting in the time, absorbing the instruction being given......and by Survivor Series or Royal Rumble, he'll be ready for just about anything.

And yes, I do love his 'look.' You've either got that or you don't.....and he does.

Roman is ready, he has won over the fans his mic skills are much better and he can wrestle a good match. I will agree that the booking and story lines have been terrible lately. I would hope that they are building him up by making him get close and than get screwed over, than when the time comes when he does win the title it will be that much sweeter. I hope he gets his Championship at Wrestlemania next year, so his family can enjoy the big celebration.

I think he's ready. They just need to have a long term plan with him as champion, meaning make sure he has some quality opponents not Kane and Show. I hope to see him as champ face Bray, Sheamus, Cena etc.

People disliking Roman Reigns has NOTHING to do with his wrestling ability or promo skills or anything like that. People dislike Roman Reigns because they fear he will be the next John Cena. Corny jokes, always do the right thing, never lose, EXTREMELY STALE GIMMICK. :banghead:

Until Vince stops going out of his way to make Reigns look strong and turn him into the next John Cena, people (smarks) will hate Roman Reigns. That's how WWE works.

Roman Reigns is ready to be a World Heavyweight Champion, but I don't see him as being ready to be THE top guy or the face of the company. He'll never be at that level no matter how hard the WWE tries to force that on the fans. What happened during the Rumble and the build toward Wrestlemania shows exactly that. I like Roman Reigns. That doesn't mean I think he should be the face of the federation though. He should share the top tier with his former teammates from The Shield. Rollins as the top heel, with Ambrose and Reigns as the top faces. Bryan (if it weren't for his injury) would have better odds of becoming the new face of the federation. I could see Reigns becoming somewhat like Batista was, a big powerful face who is fairly popular, but not at the level of guys like Cena who were the face of the federation. As far as simply being ready for a World Heavyweight Championship run? Yes, he's ready.

What makes me dislike Reigns?

1.) Because of him, other guys are made to look weak. Yes, make Reigns look strong and others weak. Look at the latest Smackdown! Dean Ambrose was jobbed out cleanly to Bray Wyatt. So that, Wyatt looks strong and Reigns could beat him to look the strongest. Basically, my problem is not "Make Roman Look Strong" instead, it is "Make Others Look Weak, so that Roman Looks Strong".

2.) Quite similar to the first one but, little different. It is for him that the other talented guys are constantly being held down. I don't hate Roman Reigns, I like other guys more than him. There're lots of talented guy on the current roster who can definitely carry the company on their back.

I could buy into Roman Reigns as the World Heavyweight Champion but, I couldn't stand Roman Reigns being the poster boy of the company. I mean, why WWE. If we don't want a guy, why are you shoving it down our throats. And for the casual and non-smarky audience, they can buy into anyone who is made to look like THE GUY.
